We stayed at a 3 bedroom villa and the week flew by. The rooms were spacious, well kept, clean, and stocked with everything you need. We had our own private plunge pool to soak in whenever we wanted to. You are greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and they gifted the kids an adorable sugar turtle cookie when we departed! They offer sample drinks and popsicles at the pools. Their attention to detail is flawless and everything is well thought out. The resort has an adults only pool, a family infinity pool overlooking the ocean, and another shallow kids pool. Plenty of lounge chairs and was never too busy. The food was fantastic from the poolside kitchen to the on site property restaurants to the private chefs. Honestly some of the best food I've had in my life. The spa is world class and I highly recommend it. We had some of the best nail service, massages, and facials ever. Everyone is well trained and very skilled and experienced in their area of expertise. They have complimentary golf carts that take you anywhere on the property and we never had to wait for one. Everyone is so friendly, inviting, and professional. I truly appreciated everyone's hospitality and warmth. The best part was our private butler who cooked our meals, arranged all activities and transportation off the property, did laundry, and even found our missing shoes that flew across the resort! lol. Lena restaurant has a swim up bar in the main pool and their menu includes pizza, sandwiches salads, and tacos. The family pool also has poolside service for food and drinks. Shout out to Fidel and Angel for their excellent service! The family pool is near the kiddie pool and play area which has a water system kids can run through and a small water slide. Mio restaurant is on it's own small pool with an infinity edge and beautiful view. Mio menu includes sushi, noodle dishes, pad Thai, and poke, all of which were excellent. We had several dinners at the Sotol restaurant off the lobby. Their menu includes tacos, steak quesadillas, and pasta dishes. Bartender/server Jesus provided great friendly service and made us feel cared for each night when we stopped by for after dinner drinks. Talavera restaurant is where the huge breakfast buffet was each morning, offering a very affordable continental breakfast, or a full breakfast. We found the continental offered more than enough options to satisfy us with lots of great choices including oatmeal with an array of toppings, granola and other cereals, about 20 different types of pastries/breads each day, and a fresh fruit bar. The full breakfast also offered meats, cheeses, custom made breakfast tacos, breakfast cocktails, and a smoothie bar. There's also Los Arcos Roasting Company coffee shop off the lobby, and Starbucks coffee and ice cream available in the Dulce shop near the family pool. This Hilton also has a doctor onsite 24 hours a day. This was a relief to us as one member of our family had an ear ache. The doctor did an exam and diagnosed an ear infection and provided the antibiotics right then and there. The doctor had her come back in the next day for a follow-up and the infection cleared up. Apparently people who live on the east coast of the US found the weather to be like their own, but as a Californian, all I wanted to do was stay inside ALL day. Having a kitchen was a big plus so we could prepare an easy and fast breakfast of oatmeal in the morning before fishing. Moreover, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking pots/pans, plates/bowls, glasses, mugs, flatware, glass storage containers with lids, a full-size fridge, a stovetop/oven, microwave, coffee maker with filters, a dishwasher and an electric tea kettle. One of the BIG things missing from the kitchen were places to charge devices. Hidden in a cramped corner of the kitchen counter was only one outlet. Moreover, you'd have to have a long cord to reach your device. If I knew then what I know now, I would have spent my days cooking inside the kitchen and dining in our suite with its powerful A/C rather than driving into town for every meal and enduring the heat, humidity and flies. In addition to a kitchen, there was an in-room washer and dryer with laundry pods located above the fridge. Because there was construction, the power must have been turned off because the washing machine stopped mid-cycle. As for the two bedrooms, they were spacious and the beds were comfortable as was the pull-out couch. Every room had a fan and TV. Only the primary room had a safe. While the secondary toilet worked, you did have wait between flushes or else the toilet would not flush. As for our garden view, we were all pleasantly surprised that it was much more. On the balcony, half the view was blocked by another building undergoing construction, but the other half was the view of the resort below and of the ocean which included the Arch of Cabo San Lucas in the far distance. Speaking of the balcony, there was a seating area plus table, 2 lounge chairs, and a hot tub. With the weather so very hot in August, we opted not to try out the hot tub. However, early in the morning, the lounge chairs made for a good quiet time when it wasn't so hot. Otherwise, the inside had great A/C making our stay comfortable. Inside the gym there was A/C (yay!) and a bottled water dispenser, a selection of weights, but only one set each of 5 lbs or 10 lbs, not 8 lbs or 12lbs and Life Fitness equipment, but no Peloton. If you forget to bring your AirPods, you can rent from the desk. Speaking of AirPods, when I was looking for my AirPods on the plane back to CA, I realized I had left them in the gym at the Hyatt. Aiya! When I arrived in San Diego, I called different numbers to access the front desk who found someone to look for the AirPods in the gym. Fortunately, someone found them and kept it at the front desk. In order to have them returned to me, Hyatt suggested a courier which I was about to do until I remembered my cousin was going to be in Cabo a week later. As instructed, my cousin texted before arriving, but no one replied. When my cousin arrived at the Hyatt, the AirPods were at the front desk waiting for him to pick-up. Resort amenities included 3 different pools with great views, but they were difficult to use with the weather being so uncomfortably hot. Additionally, there was a cornhole game, ping-pong, beach rentals which included PFDs because the beach surf was quite rough and two BBQs. At set times, there were games in the pool and crafts for adults/kids for a fee, but due to scheduling, I did not participate. To access the beach, follow the signs and it's a few flights down. Remember to bring your room card because you'll need it to get back in the door you exited. As a word of caution, don't forget where you exited because on my return, I went past our gate and couldn't understand why my card wouldn't work on the gate I was trying to get in. Fortunately, a construction worker took pity on me and let me in, but it was not the right place, so the construction worker helped me out again to get back out. While I thought the shore was rough, there was one teen gal who had a PFD and floating wherever the water took her. For parking, we self-parked as I needed the car in the early morning for fishing and in the evenings for meals and shopping and I didn't want to depend on someone every time I wanted to use the car. Speaking of my rental car, there's a sharp pothole as you leave the Hyatt and onto the frontage road to access the highway. Because I didn't see the pothole, I ran over it and it severely damaged my tire causing me to have to buy a new tire because insurance doesn't cover tire replacement or repair for that matter. Please fix the pothole so this doesn't happen to other guests.

When you call the manager they will not even give you the name of the person so you can let them know this person was not good service.. The manager Esteban refused to give me the name of the person that said I didn't answer the...phone... Come to find out the phone doesn't ring in the room... Also I had them too double-check.. increase the volume... It still didn't work.. and they had audacity to say we could send somebody to work on it .. 849 p.m. why do I want them to hear working on a phone.. and I'm leaving the next.. I just wanted to let them know that they said I didn't answer the phone when I was sitting here waiting for them... All I have to say is with this basic food and it's very mid to subpar customer service I will never ever.. be back together with you Rui in Cabo.. This experience left a lasting negative impression and raises serious concerns about guest safety and how such situations are managed. I was confused when I got there - the website shows an overview of the ocean and their beach house - which is on the beach, but the actual hotel is a few blocks inward. They offer a golf cart ride down the street to drop you off. When you are at the beach house you let them know you're staying with the Bahia and entitled to certain discounts. So the staff is attentive and courteous. The pool looks good but it was primarily empty. The food looked good - we had breakfast there and it was very good. The beach house has an open area to sit down inside with shade, and there's a small sectioned off area on the beach in the sand. You get waitstaff to get drinks for you. At times it can get really crowded, but then again it was busy there - right after Spring Break. It is quite loud and noisy there - with music and crowds. The rooms - were very nice. The bed was king, it was firm, it was comfortable, it was clean. There was also an extra small bed aside for guests - we never used it. It is spacious. The bathrooms were nice and clean too. The doors are heavy and secure, so make sure when you leave they are completely closed and locked because one night we thought so - but it did not latch. We came back and the door was open, we freaked out, but all was good and safe. We were lucky. Just make sure the door is secure and latched and you'll be fine. But overall I thought this place was great and I would recommend them. The rooms are very nice and clean. Staff was accommodating. If you're okay with it not being exactly on the beach then you'll be fine here.
