My husband booked a stay at Esperanza for my birthday MLKJ weekend in January 2023; we stayed Thursday through Monday. We stayed in Villa Silvana and had an ocean view--just gorgeous! Upon our arrival, the head butler, Jorge, greeted us and got us settled in our rooms. We had three bedrooms and three bathrooms--the primary suite was ours, our nanny had her own room and bathroom, and our 19-month-old son had his own room and bathroom. Jorge was our main contact during our stay; we could contact him at any time for help via text. On the plane ride there, all I could think about was chips, salsa, and guac. Imagine my surprise upon arrival when we walked in the villa and saw fresh, homemade chips, guacamole, and pico de gallo. SO GOOD! The staff was so pleasant and helpful at every point during our stay. The food was excellent--we ate at La Palapa on Thursday, Cocina del Mar Friday morning and evening, and Las Estrellas Saturday night. We also got food by the pool from La Terraza Americana on our last day. My husband booked me a 90 minute massage on my birthday (Sunday), and the spa was so relaxing--plunge pools, nice lounge chairs, refreshing drinks post treatment...the works! On my birthday, housekeeping gave me balloons and red velvet cake on my bday, too! During turn down service one evening, we were so touched to see an embroidered beanie and blanket with our son's name on it! SO CUTE! The villas come fully equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. Truly your home away from home! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Esperanza. I can't wait to visit again!

Esperanza is truly a magical place! Especially in the evenings when you see hundreds of candles glowing throughout the resort! The pool area has in-water chaise lounge chairs and private luxury cabanas. Down at the resort's private beach guests can relax in palapa-style cabanas with daybeds built for two. The spa has a new outdoor relaxation lounge, as well as a new retail boutique selling local art, housewares, textiles and accessories sourced from artisans throughout Mexico. The spa also launched an Integrated wellness program offering yoga and exercise classes, acupuncture therapy and healthful cooking classes.

2nd timer here... This is our 2nd time here at this resort. First time we stayed in the condos and this time in the residences villa 203. I absolutely love it. The view was breathtaking. This villa is perfect for a large group. We are a group of 15 and everyone was so comfortable. Our concierge "Lucas" is very nice and super accommodating. He went up and beyond our expectations. Condo: was a beautiful 3 bedroom and great resort amenities. Villa: I'll let the pictures speak for itself but the common area was huge, beautiful and comfortable. We spent lots of great family time together. The view is amazing and breathtaking. We had the beach right at our footsteps. Ps This resort even offers pickle ball courts you can reserve per hour.. They even have private lessons. The guys (Fernando and Maurcio) are really good players as well as teachers. =)

I MEAN!! This place is unlike any resort I've ever been to. I was lucky enough to visit my sweet friend that has a timeshare here. But I mean from arrival to departure, you are treated like absolute royalty. Their staff with some of the kindest most sweetest amazing people I have ever met. The whole trip was truly a dream. I felt like I was living in a movie. And I cannot wait until the next time that I gotta go back here because I can't imagine anything that ever happening in this paradise.

We didn't stay at this resort, we were at it's sister resort, the Chileno Bay Resort and Residence, but we did use the grounds and the restaurant one day. Immaculate grounds, nice and attentive staff with beautiful pools, lounges and restaurants.

Absolutely amazing experience! Magical views! Delicious restaurants! All staffs are professional, friendly, and eager to help. I experienced the best services. Highly recommend!

Is there a more magnificent place to have a wedding and minimoon? Esperanza was accommodating to all the needs we had for our daughter's wedding to her love. In her words, truly magical!

I would classify the "Grand" Fiesta Americana as a mid to upper range all-inclusive. Regarding the room, we booked a Solarium Ocean View. These rooms are on the ground level near the beach and pool. The room is considered an upgrade because it comes with two dedicated lounge chairs on the patio and center table that doubles as an ice chest. The pool servers stock the ice chests with water and also stock it with beer upon request each day. In addition, while at the lounge chairs, the pool servers will come to the patio and take additional drink and food orders. It was worth the upgrade. The room was large, clean, with a stocked mini refrigerator. Regarding the food, some of the restaurants were better than others. The only one that didn't fulfill our expectations was the Cervichria. It wasn't that the food was poor quality, we were just expecting it to have similar offerings as the Cervichria at the Fiesta Americana (non-Grand) in Puerto Vallarta. FA should consider bringing some of the favorites from Puerto Vallarta to this location. The property is large and has a mix of hotel rooms and larger vacation club rooms. A golf cart service is available to assist guests with getting from the rooms to the hotel facilities. The property is built into a hillside with different elevations, so be careful walking around. The beach is not swimable but nice to look at.

I had a very disappointing experience at Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos…read more First, the "all-inclusive" experience was misleading. Only a limited number of restaurants were actually included, and many other food options labeled as "premium" required additional payment. This was not clearly communicated beforehand and felt deceptive, especially for a resort at this price point. Second, the room cleanliness was unacceptable. The room had a strong odor similar to an old motel, which immediately made the space feel unclean and uncomfortable. For the price they charge, guests should expect clean accommodations, transparency, and proper customer care. Unfortunately, this resort did not meet those standards. I would not recommend staying here. There are many better resorts in Cabo that offer cleaner rooms, clearer policies, and a much better overall experience.

The property is huge and well maintained... the staff is super friendly and you'll constantly see the staff driving golf carts around with guests. It was a little complicated at first to get around to our room, but we got the hang of it after a couple days. I loved that they had a couple water refills stations near our room as I'm a big water drinker. The little mini kid pool was great and mostly where we hung out with the boys. We tried the kid pool/slide area as well and the boys loved it too. Food was definitely a plus here... we enjoyed just about every spot that we went to, and also the gym was a pretty good size. If you're looking for beach access, there's definitely not much at all as the water was very dangerous and closed off when we went. The room itself was fairly comfy, but NOT friendly for my 1 year old who got hurt a few times as a lot of the decor is that hard/thick old Spanish tile... also someone needs to chill the water pressure in the shower, cause it was crazy high! All in all, our stay was decent and was glad I gave it a shot... I think I'd still say that I prefer the Riu Palace, but the food options were definitely a little better here, especially with my young boys who constantly enjoy eating pizza

Located right on the beach you can either sit right on the beach or on the shaded terrace - which is one level higher and also where the bar is. You can reserve a table via Open Table which makes reservations easy. The service wasn't very friendly. They acted like we were doing them a favor by eating there and our waitress was downright surly! The food was good but weird. Mostly because the menu descriptions did not exactly match what we ordered. For example we ordered the burrata salad and not only did it come with pesto as advertised, but they also put guacamole on it. Weird! We expected it to have both tomatillo salsa and pesto per the menu but not guacamole! Another example was we ordered the salmon tartare which was advertised as having mezcal aoli, tobiko, goat cheese and another sauce. Well when it arrived it is basically a cheese dip like you'd get in the MidWest with tiny (1/8" minced pieces) salmon shavings in the 97% goat cheese covered in a layer of "tobiko" but as someone who eats sushi multiple times a week I can say with pretty high certainty that it was actually the cheaper/smaller/milder masago and not real tobiko - I mean both are fish eggs but I can tell the difference. But fish eggs aside this was NOT a salmon tartare it was a goat cheese dip that consisted of a small 3% of the dish having minced almost microscopic salmon. I mean for a cheese dip it was weird but tasted ok but this dish for sure is NOT a salmon tartare. It's pretty sad my favorite thing I ate here were the sweet potatoes fries that come premade so they are impossible to mess up. Those accompanied the lobster roll that was so over-seasoned and overcooked you couldn't even taste the flavor of the lobster. The second best thing I ate here after the sweet potato fries was the Macho ceviche. That was good - I'd order it again. The grilled artichoke was also overcooked since it was over-charred so I kept getting a burnt taste in my mouth. Overall, the view was great, the service was bad and the food was weird. I won't be coming here again since there are tons of better tasting, better service restaurants in Cabo with just as good of a view.

The moment we stepped onto the resort property, I thought it was stunning. The views and decor to the stairs and down to the restaurant are beautiful. We were greeted by several staff members along the way who were very friendly. When we reached the stairs to Alebrije, we were greeted by the lovely hostess Fernanda, who escorted us to our table. The table was on the upper patio just off center looking at the water. There were two acoustic guitarists playing popular music while everyone dined. They were so talented. We really enjoyed their music. We had a team of people attending to us so we were never left waiting for service. Our server Samuel was so pleasant and went over the menu very thoroughly. When we asked about something on the menu, he dove deep into the details of each dish. He was very informative. We brought our own wine and were told it was a $50 corkage fee for each bottle. I've never paid that much anywhere domestic or international travels so it was shocking. Since it was a special occasion and very special wine we brought from the states, we went ahead and opened the bottles. Our sommelier....I found her pleasant enough but she was very persistent about something with our friend and kept pushing him and making side remarks when he said no. If a guest says no to something, she should have let it go but she didn't and kept insisting. Unfortunately that set the tone for an uncomfortable dinner setting for a brief time. We were brought bread under a smoke dome. It was warm and delicious. Following was a small piece of beef tartare over a potato. Tasty. I ordered the Lasagna which was cheesy delicious, it was served in a crock rather than a plate so it stayed nice and hot until finished. My husband went with the catch if the day. Ot was a local fish called Turbolt. He said it was absolutely amazing. Our friends ordered the eggplant Parmesan and the carbonara. They both loved their dishes. We decided to order the table side tiramisu. Wow, what a treat. Edgar pulled together the desert and it was so light and flavorful. What a treat. Edgar did an amazing job. I wish we would have walked over to the bar near the restaurant for a drink after dinner. It looked lovely and looks like a wonderful view of the water. If the weather was nicer, I would request a table near the beautiful lit tree on the lower patio. It looks like a beautiful spot to dine, however, any table is a great spot to dine as far as I could tell. Overall we had a wonderful experience. My husband and I would like to dine again on our next visit.

Hacienda Encantada Cabo - 4-Bedroom Penthouse Vacation Review (June, 2026)…read more If you are looking for a luxury, five-star, hassle-free beach vacation, Hacienda Encantada may not be the best fit. The resort offers beautiful views and several bright spots, but our 4-bedroom penthouse felt dated, several service issues affected the stay, and the property does not offer direct beach access. In comparing online reviews, the Yelp ratings (3.0) and comments seemed more consistent with our experience than the more favorable TripAdvisor reviews (4.6). Positives The $142 per person, per day premium all-inclusive option felt worthwhile because food and drink prices at the hotel were very high. However, guests should be aware that the resort periodically--sometimes hourly--requires tabs to be closed and restarted, which can feel like an added prompt for tipping. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and Ernesto was a fantastic server. The hotel restaurants included in the plan were stronger than the Marina/Golden Zone options. Mestizo was our favorite, although one of the higher-end restaurants was temporarily closed during our stay. On our last evening, there was no indoor dining option available. Tip: Avoid Barolo for Italian food. The pool staff and service were a clear highlight of the trip, especially Oscar and Manuel. Our butler was also helpful in navigating most of the (daily) issues that came up throughout the week. Negatives We worked with the concierge for several weeks to arrange airport transportation and a boat excursion for six people. Even after reconfirming the details before arrival, the airport transportation was not in place, and we had to take a taxi to the hotel; transportation for the boat tour was also mishandled. Be aware that the airport arrival experience was heavily focused on timeshare sales, and many of the people offering assistance were affiliated with timeshare companies. After the airport transportation issue, we were again approached by aggressive timeshare salespeople at the Hacienda Encantada who initially appeared to be hotel staff. Fortunately, they did not continue approaching us after that first interaction. Several people we spoke with said they spent four to six hours of their vacation attending timeshare presentations. When we arrived at the penthouse, the room temperature was 82 degrees, and it took three maintenance visits before the rooms reached the 70s the next day. To keep the space cool, we had to leave notes asking staff to close the shades and doors, which meant we had little opportunity to enjoy the views during the week. The resort does not offer beach access, which is important to know before booking a beach-focused vacation. The resort also requires towel cards for pool towels and charges $25 for each towel that is not returned, which felt out of step with the expectations of a high-end resort. The Golden Zone/Marina area felt lower-end than expected and was crowded with cruise visitors. We were approached repeatedly while walking in the marina, including by people offering drugs, which made the area feel uncomfortable and less enjoyable for our group. Based on what we saw, the sister property appeared to be of even lower quality. One night during the World Cup, we were not allowed into the Golden Zone's Legends Bar despite having made a reservation two days earlier; it appeared that outside guests who were not on the all-inclusive plan were being prioritized, even though the bar seemed to have only a small number of people inside. The manager's on duty, Fermin and Gabriel were very unprofessional! Housekeeping was disappointing. Dust from the air-conditioning repairs was not cleaned from the bathroom or shower, and basic items such as tissues and soap were not replaced even when empty containers were left on the counter or shower floor; beds were made and towels were replaced daily, but little beyond that was completed. None of the rooms had smart TVs, so we were unable to stream content during the stay. Tip: Bring an HDMI cord. The hotel offered no evening entertainment, had no late-night bar or lounge options, and generally seemed to shut down around 10 p.m. Although the penthouse was advertised as accommodating up to 12 people, we felt it would be more comfortable for a maximum of eight. Overall Recommendation Hacienda Encantada may work well for travelers who prioritize resort views, pool service, and an all-inclusive dining setup, but it is not an ideal choice for guests expecting a polished luxury penthouse experience, seamless logistics, strong housekeeping, or direct beach access. We would not return and do not recommend the resort.

The food was consistently good, and the Lazy River is definitely the standout feature and biggest selling point of the property. The rooms and grounds were well maintained, making for an enjoyable stay overall. That said, there were a few areas where the experience fell short. Pool service was inconsistent, and there often seemed to be a shortage of pool towels. Entertainment options were limited, and with only three restaurants on-site, dining choices felt somewhat restricted. Of the three, Latitud 23.5 was by far the best and the one we found ourselves returning to most often. Guests should also be prepared for a fairly aggressive timeshare presentation pitch. Additionally, the advertised complimentary 45-minute massage per room for direct online bookings appeared to be more of a marketing gimmick, as multiple staff members seemed unaware of the promotion during our stay. While we had a pleasant experience overall, we're likely to try a different resort next year. The Lazy River was the highlight, but the overall experience wasn't quite enough to bring us back.

The property is very nice and well maintained. They have a hot tub, infinity hot tub, an adult infinity pool, and a massive pool right in the center. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great. Everything was really good and it tasted authentic. I opted for the Cook to order omelettes or eggs and chilaquiles. The avocado toast was amazing. They have a Rotating item where a cook prepares it for you on the spot. You must get the nachos by the pool. They're great for two people and they were so good. They have a total of three restaurants which we ate at two of them because we really enjoyed the Italian, called Velas. They had live music the nights we went. We also went to Lena on taco Tuesday, which was their Tacos and Margarita Night. The beach is beautiful, very walkable. There is a lifeguard on duty. Beautiful sunsets. All the employees were always working, they were very helpful, and attentive. It was a very relaxing day.

Could not get any manager or answer for over 96 hours due to a holiday?? How can an entire hotel chain be on holiday?? I'm super sick. They expected me to come. I don't think you'd have wanted me there! Back to FS next time. Loyalty is respected. Price is worth every penny!
