A great stop for food, drinks, and views while in Cabo. It's oceanfront with beautiful views of the arches and boats going by. The dining area is modern and trendy with a great outdoor seating area. They have a DJ during the daytime and we were lucky to also catch the saxophone player as well. The food was fresh and tasty. They have a great kids menu as well! Honestly some of the best panko chicken tenders I've had! Haha...Some great photo opportunities on the large swing in front of the restaurant and the ocean as your backdrop. Truly captures the vacation Cabo vibe!

Stumbled upon this gem after visiting a local massage spot. This was a pleasant surprise. The ambiance was beautiful and it sits right on the water. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. This was truly a 5 star experience and everything was top tier. No wait, seated promptly, delicious food, a lil birthday treat at the end of dinner, delicious drinks!!! I would definitely be back when visiting Cabo!! Recommend you come too!

Looks are definitely deceiving. It's a pretty restaurant on the beach but super disappointing. The cocktails were very good - but we ordered the Tomahawk - one word - INEDIBLE. It's as if it was sourced from an old, dying cow that was dehydrated. Couldn't cut it and couldn't chew it, despite being cooked at medium rare temp. Service was terrible - the people that worked there just stood together talking or stepping to the side to smoke. When I mentioned to the server he said it was supposed to be like that?!? Obviously sent it to the kitchen for the chef himself to taste but beyond disgusting. Maybe this is the quality of meat that they can source but definitely do not order. We ordered more broccolini and left. Would not recommend unless you're just going for the view and drinks. Also use copious amounts of bug spray.

They had Amazing service! Ismael, he was our waiter and he was soo great, very attentive, even though he was SUPER busy, he didn't forget us and was timely with everything... The drinks were delish, perfect view of the beach and ocean, the chairs and umbrellas were great and there was plenty for all of us to be shaded even though they were packed. It was a great experience, a bit pricey but we would come again!

Probably our best meal in Cabo! Everything was absolutely delicious with a great view of the beach and ocean. This restaurant is a great place for a date night or romantic night with the sound of the waves and a light breeze. The week we visited was right after the hurricane and it was so hot and humid and flies everywhere we went. Restaurant staff was on top of the fly issue setting up deterrents so we could eat peacefully. So appreciated. Crab cakes were superb, as well as the burger!!

F-off Friday starts now, let's go!

It's very rare for a restaurant to go from a 0 stars to a 5 star fantastic experience in 2 hours, but that happened today. Frustrating check in and epic ending due to Gerardo, Freda, Pancho, Ceasar and Juanito. Plus Oliver the DJ who took some great shots. From the bottle of bubbles to great food and skinny margaritas to finish all while enjoying the view and vibe only SUR can provide, turned out great. Thank you all!

SUR Beach House wasn't bad but I wasn't that good either. The oysters were very fresh and probably our favorite thing, the prices here are kinda crazy compared to other restaurants with way better views to justify it. There's Waldorfs spot, cocina Del Mar, and a few others where they're the same price and 10times the better view. Customer service was also really bad we had 2 different waiters.. no idea why but it definitely caused confusion it was just my wife and I and at mid way through our bill is around $300 before dessert no big deal we're on vacation. HOWEVER then when a table of 8 came in we were completely abandoned while they got treated like royalty haha. Went from 2 servers to 0 and completely abandoned We won't be back nothing really screamed special if you do go get the ceviche and oysters avoid the steak

First time in Cabo! SUR Beach House is right next to The Sand Bar, where you can expect great massages. My recommended itinerary is to get massages by the beach in the morning and then come here for lunch. SUR Beach House ended up being the best meal of the trip, and I had tried a fair amount of places in the area. FLAVOR (4.1/5): 1. MANGO SMOOTHIE: The mango smoothie was delicious and refreshing. Comes with dehydrated pineapple on top. 2. EEL ROLL: The eel roll was good. 3. SOFT SHELL CRAB ROLL: The soft shell crab roll was yummy. It's served differently than in the states - they don't include the crab legs at the ends of the roll, but it's still decently filling. 4. SALMON ROLL: Also good, but overall the rolls were not my favorite. The sushi itself is fresh, but don't expect out of this world flavor if you're used to the high quality sushi of the states (Yunomi, Sugarfish, etc.). 5. CRISPY RIB EYE TIPS: Best dish of the entire meal. The rib eye tips were so flavorful and crispy. The guacamole helped round out the flavor of the tomatillo sauce and the dish comes with blue corn tortillas to help bring it all together. Everyone couldn't get enough of this one. 6. FRIED CALAMARI: The fried calamari was yummy! Can't go wrong. 7. HANDMADE PASTA: The handmade pasta was the weakest dish of the lot. The pork belly we added was good, but the flavors of the curry butter and bonito flakes felt out of place. 8. ZARANDEADO RED SNAPPER: The red snapper was delicious. Cooked to perfection, with a little bit of zest from the quinoa salad. It had a strong flavor from the sauce compared to the Grilled Totoaba, which is on the lighter, creamier side. I prefered the Red Snapper, although both were good. 9. GRILLED TOTOABA: All the fish dishes were hits here. The chard and verjus vinaigrette brings a lightness to the dish that complements the fish well. 10. KAMPACHI TIRADITO: The fish was very fresh, and the garlic chips, ponzu, and avocado mousse were the perfect combination of flavors. Definitely recommend as a starter. 11: MATCHAMISU SAKE & YUZU: Onto desserts! The matchamisu was super creamy and delicious. Texture wise, it leans more into cheesecake territory, although I'm not complaining. Often times with matcha tiramisu, the matcha can get too overpowering and bitter, but that's not the case here. The yuzu adds a nice citrus to balance out the heaviness of the cream, although maybe a little less of it would have been nice. 12: BLACK TEA CREME BRULEE: The black tea creme brulee was the more avant garde dessert. A little sweeter than the matchamisu - maybe too sweet. The tapioca pearls were super fun to eat, but not your usual tapioca pearls you expect in boba. They're firmer and smaller. Between the two desserts we ordered, I preferred the Matchamisu, but I didn't mind the creme brulee (I still finished it all). SERVICE (5/5): Service was amazing!! Super accommodating and they remembered who had food intolerances and who didn't. AMBIENCE (5/5): Beautiful spot by the water. You can see how blue the ocean is from your table. If you make a reservation, I think you can get a better spot outside, closer to the water, but we still had an amazing experience from where we were. TAKEAWAYS: Having been to Mexico City, it was hard to find a place in Cabo that could compare food-wise, given that it's more known for its partying and beach scene. However, SUR Beach House exceeded expectations with its amazing service, beautiful view, and delicious dishes. The standouts for me were the Crispy Rib Eye Tips and Zarandeado Red Snapper. I also recommend the Grilled Octopus for those who like octopus.

View from our chairs and snapper fillet for lunch.

We were staying in San Jose and wanted to spend a day on Medano beach. Our concierge suggested SUR Beach House and we were very glad he did. The location is lovely - in the middle of the activity, but not too noisy. Our lounge chairs were close to the water's edge and the view was very pretty. We were taken care of from the moment we arrived. Gustavo was our server and was always available when we needed him. We were here a long time and enjoyed both breakfast and lunch. The food was delicious.

    Navigator of the Seas
    Bill S.

The Mrs. and I spent yesterday at SUR Beach House on what was the second stop on our seven day voyage on the Navigator of the Seas. We originally had a reservation to enjoy the beach club at 11 a.m. but we arrived shortly before 10 and were able to get seated on a beautiful spot right on the front of the beach. We were provided with two beach chairs, towels, two small tables, and umbrella for some much needed shade. We were given a breakfast menu and the Mrs. ordered a pastry and coffee along with orange juice and water. Lunch wasn't available until 11:45. Meanwhile, we enjoyed the cool beautiful water and scenery of Cabo San Lucas. Shorty before 11 our server, Renzo arrived and said he would be taking care of us. We ordered Margaritas, which were VERY STRONG. We started with the Black Aguachile which consisted of Bay Scallops, shrimp, Mango, cucumber and a spicy ceviche sauce. What made it black was the tortilla ash that was mixed in with the sauce. It was a very well composed and refreshing dish. The second dish we ordered was the Fried Calamari served with Sambal Aioli and lime. The calamari was tender and crispy. The Aioli had a nice kick to it. Now to why I'm giving Sur Beach House four stars..... It came time to pay our check. Renzo brings it to me but it wasn't an itemized receipt. My fault for not asking for one but in my many travels in Mexico I've never had to ask for one. All I got was a small receipt with a total of $284.28. Renzo asked me if I wanted to leave a tip. Again, my fault for not asking for an itemized receipt. I told him to add 20%. That brought the total to $341.13. After I signed the credit card receipt my wife questioned the charges. We started looking at the menu, converting Pesos to U.S. Dollars and arguing quite a bit. Making a good day turn bad. When we left we asked the hostess for an itemized receipt. It turns out the tip was already added to the $284.28. I'm a good tipper. In fact, I over tip. Especially for great service which we did receive from Renzo but for him to not a.) give me an itemized receipt, and b.) not tell me the tip was already included was incredibly upsetting. Had he been honest and said the tip was included I would have actually tipped him more. The service we received from Renzo was that good. The hostess ended up reversing the $341.13 and charging the $284.28. She provided us with a receipt showing the reversal.

Went during slower season. Staff was phenomenal, and drinks tasty. View and vibes were overall good. Oysters weren't my favorite but still tasty, and the red snapper was divine.

Lovely place to watch the boats come and go at Medina. The owner is a great guy na d his staff is first rate. I asked how many employees he has and he said just over 300 in his three businesses. Crazy but they are all solid and will take care of you. The saxophone artist was awesome and played along with the house music for a nice twist.

The best spot to dine or relax on the beach! The food is incredible and you have a choice of dining inside the restaurant, on their terrace or in one of their comfortable seating options on the beach itself with towels provided and umbrellas for shade if desired. The service is top notch and very friendly! The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.

While the theft itself was extremely concerning, the most disappointing part of our experience was the response from front desk staff and management. Rather than demonstrating urgency, empathy, or accountability, we were made to feel as though we had done something wrong. Our concerns were not taken seriously, and there was little effort to investigate, provide reassurance, or offer any meaningful resolution. Due to the lack of trust that followed, we no longer felt comfortable allowing staff into our room and declined housekeeping for the remainder of our 4-night stay. This significantly impacted our comfort and overall experience. For a property of this caliber, both the incident and its handling fell far below expectations. This experience left a lasting negative impression and raises serious concerns about guest safety and how such situations are managed. We would strongly encourage management to take this matter seriously and address both the incident and their response to it, as it significantly impacts guest trust and safety.

I was confused when I got there - the website shows an overview of the ocean and their beach house - which is on the beach, but the actual hotel is a few blocks inward. They offer a golf cart ride down the street to drop you off. When you are at the beach house you let them know you're staying with the Bahia and entitled to certain discounts. So the staff is attentive and courteous. The pool looks good but it was primarily empty. The food looked good - we had breakfast there and it was very good. The beach house has an open area to sit down inside with shade, and there's a small sectioned off area on the beach in the sand. You get waitstaff to get drinks for you. At times it can get really crowded, but then again it was busy there - right after Spring Break. It is quite loud and noisy there - with music and crowds. The rooms - were very nice. The bed was king, it was firm, it was comfortable, it was clean. There was also an extra small bed aside for guests - we never used it. It is spacious. The bathrooms were nice and clean too. The doors are heavy and secure, so make sure when you leave they are completely closed and locked because one night we thought so - but it did not latch. We came back and the door was open, we freaked out, but all was good and safe. We were lucky. Just make sure the door is secure and latched and you'll be fine. But overall I thought this place was great and I would recommend them. The rooms are very nice and clean. Staff was accommodating. If you're okay with it not being exactly on the beach then you'll be fine here.

We heard nothing but raving reviews from our guests about the rooms and cleanliness of the entire resort. I already had family and friends asking when we can come back for our anniversaries lol. Now for our wedding: The planning through Casa Dorada's wedding coordinator, Katherine Anaya, was seamless and so easy. I can't express enough how amazing she was to handle everything for my husband and I since we are from California. The location of the resort is perfectly on the beach with nearby bars and restaurants. Yes you can hear the music from the bars but it stops at 9:30/10pm. Didn't hear any complaints from any of ours guests (ages 25-83). The wedding ceremony and reception was at the 12 Tribes Terrace and they really transformed the atmosphere to be exactly how I envisioned the wedding! If you're hesitant about doing a destination wedding in Cabo, I researched about 20 resorts and landed on Casa Dorada because of the value, location and how beautiful the resort looks. We are so happy with how our wedding came out and how amazing the staff is at this resort. We want to highlight our amazing wedding planner (through the resort) Katherine Anaya who handled everything for us and made sure the whole wedding experience was stress free and seamless for us. Her first impression through email with me truly made me feel her hospitality and kindness. Meeting her in person for our pre-wedding trip January 2026 just solidified that we have an amazing person helping create our wedding vision and bring it to life! She even went as far as having a custom wedding slideshow playing in our hotel room that had our pictures from our wedding website. The attention to detail Katherine gives is beyond what I could've ever imagined from anyone! Another person I want to mention was Rene at the 12 Tribes Restaurant. We met him during our pre-wedding trip and he handled everything with ease for our signature His/Her drinks and our food tasting samples. Right away his great hospitality and kind spirit could immediately be seen and felt. For our wedding in April 2026, Rene remembered us and gave nothing short of excellent service during our entire wedding week when we saw him or ate at the 12 Tribes restaurant. Rene was actually a server during our wedding and was making sure everything was going smoothly and made sure we felt at home. Two more people who are worth mentioning: Heriberto at the swim-up bar and Michele at the B Bar. Two awesome people who love what they do. They remembered us each time we came back to them. They remembered our drink orders and truly made us feel like family there. If you're thinking about a wedding at Casa Dorada, my advice to you is do it and you won't regret it. It truly felt like our home away from home. Muchas gracias Casa Dorada!!! We will definitely be back! This isn't goodbye, but see you soon!!

It is the perfect blend of modern and elegance and screams luxury without trying too hard. It's close to the marina as well so easy access to other restaurants, shopping, and tours. We stayed at a 3 bedroom villa and the week flew by. The rooms were spacious, well kept, clean, and stocked with everything you need. We had our own private plunge pool to soak in whenever we wanted to. You are greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and they gifted the kids an adorable sugar turtle cookie when we departed! They offer sample drinks and popsicles at the pools. Their attention to detail is flawless and everything is well thought out. The resort has an adults only pool, a family infinite pool overlooking the ocean, and another swallow kids pool. Plenty of lounge chairs and was never too busy. The food was fantastic from the poolside kitchen to the on site property restaurants to the private chefs. Honestly some of the best food I've had in my life. The spa is world class and I highly recommend it. We had some of the best nail service, massages, and facials ever. Everyone is well trained and very skilled and experienced in their area of expertise. They have complimentary golf carts that take you anywhere on the property and we never had to wait for one. Everyone is so friendly, inviting, and professional. I truly appreciated everyone's hospitality and warmth. The best part was our private butler who cooked our meals, arranged all activities and transportation off the property, did laundry, and even found our missing shoes that flew across the resort! lol. Our butler Ricardo was amazing and such a delight to have. This is a once in a lifetime experience that everyone must indulge in. It's worth it.

Other than that, best stay i've ever had in terms of everything. Room, aesthetics, service, and location. Room was super spacious room with a soaking tub and rainfall shower, each room comes with its own plunge pool with water temperature set at 82 degrees so you can swim in it anytime. It also comes with a fire place, which comes in handy at night. The room is also equipped with binoculars for whale watching, very thoughtful. The service was top tier, better than Ritz Carlton and other Wardolf location I've stayed at. You get a personal concierge that can help you with whatever you need 24/7. Shout out to my concierge Raquel, she made the stay so much smoother. The location is prime. Walking distance from a lot of restaurants, bars, and clubs. If you don't want to walk uber's about $5-10 bucks.

Truly sad writing this review. I had so much fun at the Taboo in Tulum and was excitedly looking…read moreforward to the experience in Cabo for my 29th birthday. Upon entering we noticed the pool area was sectioned off for construction - which was going on during business hours. Needless to say the construction was hard to ignore as it was louder than the music at times. Wish this was indicated on the website, paying almost $400 to have dust flying in my face and the music drowned at by construction was not ideal. We were taken to our seats and our waitress immediately greeted us and was ready to take our order to get started. I ordered our food/drinks and ask for the hookah menu. I was told they do not sell hookah any more as police shut down serving hookah at the establishment a few months prior. again, SHOULD BE NOTED ON THE WEBSITE. After she was done taking our order i asked her to fix the umbrellas as the sun was directly on my face. She attempted to move the umbrella and ended up knocking down my friends bag and iPhone. Unfortunately this cracked the screen and killed the entire mood. She did not apologize, instead she quickly walked away. She came back after a few minutes to offer us drink on the house, again no apology. We spoke to two managers, neither of which who offered real solutions. They said she will reach out to us and pay for the damages. She reached out via Instagram and said she would take care of the cost. My friend was able to get her screen fixed and sent her a copy of the receipt. She has not responded and messages are going green, as if she is blocked. She tried to make up for the damages with her service, and i appreciate her efforts but her lack of acknowledgment of the damages done to my friends property and lying about following up to take care of the situation is disheartening. Management seemed to not care which was also interesting, i understand backing your employees but the level of professionalism and customer service experienced was distasteful.

The food was consistently good, and the Lazy River is definitely the standout feature and biggest selling point of the property. The rooms and grounds were well maintained, making for an enjoyable stay overall. That said, there were a few areas where the experience fell short. Pool service was inconsistent, and there often seemed to be a shortage of pool towels. Entertainment options were limited, and with only three restaurants on-site, dining choices felt somewhat restricted. Of the three, Latitud 23.5 was by far the best and the one we found ourselves returning to most often. Guests should also be prepared for a fairly aggressive timeshare presentation pitch. Additionally, the advertised complimentary 45-minute massage per room for direct online bookings appeared to be more of a marketing gimmick, as multiple staff members seemed unaware of the promotion during our stay. While we had a pleasant experience overall, we're likely to try a different resort next year. The Lazy River was the highlight, but the overall experience wasn't quite enough to bring us back.

Sadly, we DID end up buying a Corazon membership, and now that we are using it, we have serious buyers remorse. As they say "the devil is in the details". Watch out for: 1) Resell unused days: Corazon touts that any unused days each year can be "resold". While this is true, AirBnb sites negate any profit, so for all the hassle you net almost $0. 2) Travel anywhere in the world via their "Global Network": This is smoke and mirrors. Its NOT their network at all. Corazon simply signs you up for a vacation club, and pays your first years dues. You could get this vacation club on your own, even without Corazon. 3) Price Increases - 5% increase per year. They will NOT tell you about this during the "tour" and sit down negotiations. 4) Black outs. They will tell you there are no black out dates, which is true, but they limit the number of rooms available to members, so unless you book VERY FAR in advance, there is a considerable chance you get blacked out on the travel dates that you want.
