    The office was very busy when I arrived, but to my surprise, the wait was not long. The ladies at…read morethe front desk were nice, although they seemed very busy and overwhelmed. My husband and I were brought into the same exam room. There were two young ladies handling the intake process -- one working at the computer and the other performing the vision acuity testing. The woman at the computer, who had black-and-white hair, did not greet or acknowledge us in any way. Before leaving the room, she also set up the vision machine incorrectly, and the doctor had to adjust it before beginning the assessment. I just hope the charting in the computer was entered correctly. Thankfully, the doctor double-checked the machine before starting. The other young lady who performed the acuity testing and administered the eye drops was very sweet, outgoing, and professional. She explained everything she was doing, and you could tell she was experienced. Dr. Kelley Cherchione was very friendly and professional. She explained everything clearly and gave us time to ask questions. There was also a scribe in the room with us who was quiet but very pleasant as well.

I knew something was off as I couldn't see good out of the lower left lense. I went back to Walmart and was told that the prescription matched the glasses. I returned to NJ in June and went to Horizon to discuss my problem. The technician said my prescription matched the glasses. A very nice receptionist gave me an appointment for a refraction on 7/29/24. At that exam, I was told by K. Sedlock that she had given me too much power in the lower left lense. She gave me another prescription. I feel that Horizon should pay for their mistake. They told me no way as it was over 30 days when I reported it. I was in Florida and I never used the glasses I purchased as I couldn't properly see out of them. The attitude on 7/29/24 was not friendly or understanding. I was disappointed and insulted at their attitude as my husband and I have been going there for probably 15 yrs. We will no longer be using them for our checkups in the future. Karen Van Zile
