First time doing business with these folks and good luck trying to find someone that fixes neon at a reasonable price. That's why often when a neon signs stop working or the glass breaks, they just get pitched in the dumpster. Then has to be a special sign when the repair costs more than the sign. Mine was. Called and explained mine would flash for a second and go out. Immediately diagnosed as a faulty transformer and given a price to replace. I drop off the sign and away we go. No communication until I follow up a couple of weeks later and I'm told yep transformer but also some neon needs to be replaced and the price is nearly double the initial quote if I proceed. Of course right... I know when I switched that sign on 20 times, trying to get it to work, the whole thing lit up. I was told you'd only see it if it stayed on and to be fair they did offer to send me a photo to show me (it didn't come through but they tried). At this point we negotiated to a price between what I was told initially and the higher price so that was fair. I go to pick up the sign and there are two transformers and two plugs, basically the old one was not broken just not powerful enough to drive the entire sign. I asked about the two plugs and was told common for large signs. My sign is a lakefront brewery beer sign. I have four other brewery signs in my garage and none of them has two plugs. This matters to me because one you didn't do what you said, which was replace the old transformer with a more powerful one that powers the entire sign. Second while two plugs maybe doesn't matter to some, I have many things plugged in so outlet space is a premium. They suggested I just buy an adapter and plug them both into it, but honestly while of course that will work, that's not really a professional repair I paid $185 for... to summarize when my sign broke and I emailed Lakefront Brewery to see if they had a repair contact, Russ emailed me back saying it's just not worth it. I felt guilty back in May '20 at my first dealings with the Falls Signarama for not writing a great review at the time. My Grandson was turning 8 and with the virus and no birthday party due to the pandemic this Grandma at last minute came up with idea to find a Big yard sign for him to wake up too wishing him happy birthday. Signarama came through and I paid I thought then a little high for an already designed sign, but it was last minute. I was in. The sign was so fun with the whole neighborhood, the Amazon driver and a drive by police car all stopping to say Happy Birthday to my grandson making his day. As I said last minute and they came thru. So I would have rated them a 5 star but just failed to "yelp" it out. SPEED UP TO TODAY, beginning of Oct. and 4 weeks in advance vs 24 hours back in May, I requested another sign to be made for my 5 yr old granddaughters b day. Still pandemic, still no b day party because of it. Well quoted price for exact same sign, just different name and colors, but same sign and design, almost double the price. Whaaat? I know I am not the target customer but wanted to stay local and support small business but to be gouged....and offered 10 percent less off price when questioned, this Grandma had to say "no thank you". My support went from a 5 star to 1. During these times to "gouge" this Grandma and disappoint her 5 year old granddaughter in a few weeks before her bday and not have matching sign as her brother's is sad. No help for this Grandma, no support from this Grandma!! Remember that businesses as you order from here...are you getting "gouged"? I may not be their target market, but I am a tenacious Grandma with a Voice through YELP. I will get that sign and make my granddaughters day...just somewhere else. Thank you in May, not so much now Signarama! Very very sad for you as a business. O they will say my calling the random one day I called in May they were running a 40% discount. This is a great place to get your vintage neon stolen by these crooks. They are well versed in bait and switch all the way to corporate. If a person brings in a Neon for a broken tube repair and is quoted a price of $60 to do this job you would think I'd get back what I brought in. I presented my Heileman's Old Style neon to Manager Jodi then salesman Jim piped up let me see your neon,, this is the last time I saw my Neon.. Even though the salesman Jim stated my light was older, Lots of thick Ruby Red tubing, made in USA, which was also verified by the neon guy Jeff saying he had never seen a Neon like mine. The next day Jim called saying the light needed more repair which I knew it didn't need. Jim even said that after the RubyRed was wiped off it was actually yellow? Jim repeatedly made a plea as to how he can make this right! My reply was how about giving me back the Neon! When I went to pick up my neon Jodi said here it is! NOT. I was presented with a completely different Neon. A Chinese made Yellow neon of which mine had no yellow on it and made after Heilemans was sold. After several meetings and even a demonstration set up by Jim to show me that yellow tubing could be made to glow red. Even neon guy Jeff said that isn't possible I was even told by Jim and Jodi is take this light or you get nothing!!! I placed calls to corporate A.J. Titus secretary as I was told, and they only sell franchises and don't have any Ethical responsibility on how these are run. Good luck dealing with this bunch of thieves! This was a great experience. I had an idea for a custom neon sign for xmas party. I sent several companies a quote request. Signarama MF came back with the best price. They provided a shop drawing, which was an great visual. They were completely open and receptive to revisions. The final product was amazing!
