I have ONE outstanding bill over that time, which is in the process of being resolved internally, as I have explained several times. I could give them leeway and be more understanding if they were paying out to freelancers who they owe money, which I have heard from reliable sources they are not. Every billing interaction I have had with them has been painful. It took FOUR attempts to get my address correct for invoices and they still have me in there as two different entries, one correct, one incorrect. So it is a 50/50 chance invoices come directly to me or sit in the mail room will someone figures out where it should go through a process of deduction. I work as a part of an organization with thousands of employees. If you don't have my info correct it takes much longer for the mail room to get it to me. No interaction I have had with Spectrum Graphix has led me to want to work with them now that the Expressions Litho half of their business has shuttered it's doors.

For due diligence, I also asked for estimates from 9 other moving businesses on Yelp, and MEAA came back with the best price. Because of the price point and the personal recommendation, I went with MEAA, though I was worried about "you pay for what you get". It turned out they were very professional and communicated well. The movers showed up 5 minutes before the appointment, wrapped everything up properly, offered shrink wrapping for a flat low rate, and best of all, were very friendly and cheerful for an otherwise stressful event (moving is always stressful to me). They were able to disassemble my complicated West Elm bed frame and put it back together perfectly. I felt my big mirrors and furniture were well taken care of. They were hesitant with moving my indoor plants so we wrapped them up in bubble wraps -- they came over just fine. We didn't point out some boxes ahead of time, so there was no planned space in the truck -- they happily offered to help move them into our car if needed. I would totally use MEAA again for my next move!

This owner Edgar is threatening legal action for his own employees being late, damaging my things,…read morenot working while on the clock, having their phone "die" and not be able to find my place for 1-3 hours, and to pay additional fees and services that I never agreed to via text, phone, email, or verbally. Let me be clear: I have used their service for 7+ years and loved them. And now this guy has the audacity to threaten legal action for me to pay fees which were never disclosed, mentioned, and never agreed to. Here is a snippet of why I am so upset: - rescheduling 2x - being late day of move (10am turned into 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and finally 3:30pm) - movers were slow (some times not working at all on the clock) - movers damaged many of my belongings - I had paid $50-$100 for food and drinks to help them have food + energy to keep moving & working (my own pocket!) - movers did not have extra boxes as requested (and promised per text) - no notification was given ahead of time for any extra payment for gas / mileage / extra day charges (as it was assumed they would have been there early AM) - movers were sitting around at times not work / packing - 30-60 minutes of time was spent eating & drinking (I was ok with this as I thought they needed food and drinks, and energy to keep moving. I assumed I wouldn't be charged for this additional time but I was) - every other time moving Edgar + another mover did an exceptional and fast job. Well worth the time + money; this time was the worse experience ever - it is not my responsibility to have the movers have their phones charged and have directions to get to a given location (they never charged it despite me offering to charge their phone) --- their phone was dead and therefore the reason for being late was "not having directions". - I had 2 different movers willing to help me, with lower quotes, faster response time, and ability to do everything as requested and extra helpers I have no income or job at the moment. I offered to negotiate a way to pay them back after I get employment. Instead, this guy messages me and threatens legal action for not paying. Who pays for employees who don't work, can't do their job, arrive to the point where you can't return a U-Haul you rented yourself, and can't use common sense to buy a cheap charger at a gas station so you can recharge your phone? Your customers are not responsible for your negligence or incompetence, or the negligence and incompetence of your employees. It's your responsibility as a manager and business owner. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM NOW OR EVER AGAIN. I suggest anyone who has had a bad experience to report them to the BBB (better business bureau) and report them for harassment, threatening their customers, and scamming for requesting their customers pay an excess of fees never disclosed to them or agreed upon. This is an illegal practice and is especially not how you treat a customer of 7+ years. Seriously you can find almost anyone with cheaper rates who do the job better, faster, and reliably.

(in a good way even though that kind of sounds scary). I sent them a draft of what I wanted and they came back with something that I felt was too good to be true. They help with designing your site not just doing what you tell them! Other places charge extra for that and they added own additional expenses. I kept expecting to hear from John about necessary increases to the budget but that never came. He stuck to the budget and even did more work at no additional cost. I commented on almost every detail and he never once complained - just responded with "done" "done" "done" next to each number on my list. I offered to pay more but those emails went ignored. He had a job to do and he did it like a pro. I had previously highered a friend to work on the site and after spending lots of time and money had to come to terms that I needed someone else. I went looking into craigslist because thats what I could afford after the mess I was left with. I was hesistant at first. John's site wasn't too impressive but I read a review that said John had "saved the day." I needed that and it resonated with me. I needed help badly. I took chance and my ONLY regret is not having found John sooner. It might take a little back and forth with emails as anything worthwhile does but its SO SO worth it. So I suggest you start your project early with John. His team is all you need. I am excited about the product and can't stop talking highly about the quality of their work. This guys is the man.

Fortunately, I was reimbursed through the 3rd party company, where Christopher initially found me, who felt that my complaints about Christopher were warranted. So after a lot of back and forth, I finally decided to hire Alex. Alex and his colleagues were GREAT. Hard-working, good listeners, respectful of our house(s) and of our possessions, great attitudes, fast as lightening... Alex came with his power drill and confidently and rapidly dismounted any furniture that needed to be broken down and put it all back together with the same efficiency in the new house. Nothing got lost, nothing got broken. Everything was in its right place as opposed to in a pile in our garage as per our precedent move. Keep in mind that as a small company, they don't have insurance and it will be up to you to provide mattress bags and plastic wrap unless you specifically ask for these materials. Alex has moving blankets to wrap valuables, but anything else has to be purchased beforehand by the customer. The truck is also 12', smaller than the bigger moving companies. I highly recommend Alex and his team. I hope we never have to move again, but if we do, I'll call Alex and his power drill to come and help us and I am confident he'll bring his great attitude and his speed with him. If efficiency, professionalism and excellent customer service are important to you in choosing your next movers, do yourself a favor and call Alex.
