The pattern of the flooring involved 3 different sized wood planks (3", 4" and 5"). While it took several months before all the wood finally arrived, Luis was able to install, sand and stain all three bedrooms (and closets) in a week's time. I had Level Up enclose my screened in porch in January 2024. It looked very nice. Then it rained…read moreand one window leaked. I called Patrick and he came out and looked at it - caulked the window a little, redid the inside frame and said it was all taken care of. Several months later, I was having lots of bugs in the porch and mice getting in my house. I called Patrick again and he told me "to hire a handyman to come and do some caulking". Again a couple months later, we have a big rain storm and the window is leaking again. Now I am putting sticky pads out there to see where these bugs and mice are coming from. I had to call multiple times with no call backs and sent multiple texts but finally Patrick called and came again - I showed him the sticky pads and he caulked the inside of the porch, caulked the window on the outside and wanted to leave it for a couple months to make sure there were no leaks. So here we are today, I called Patrick twice to see when he could come back and redo the window. Well again there is no call back. I had a contractor come look at the windows. Well, he was not surprised that the window was leaking - there is no caulking on the windows and no caulking on the new siding and now there are gaps in the siding. When I had the porch done, I also asked him to install a motion light off my garage in the front. Three months after that was installed, it quit working. When he came to see the porch I pointed out the light. He told me to get a new light and he would install it when he came back to do the window. I got the light but Patrick never showed up. So, I had to pay someone else to install the light - which I already paid Patrick for and now I have to hire someone to finish the windows in the porch the correct way.

They replaced the carpet in two bedrooms and closets in one day. The photo showing the hardwood was previously carpet and we preferred hardwood against the back door entry. Patrick did a beautiful job. We were going to do LVP in the hallway upstairs but Patrick recommended we try Mohawk laminate. It was a GREAT choice. It's completely waterproof and slip free and really looks like real wood. All work was done at a very reasonable cost. Patrick is very responsive and did a wonderful job.

The experience with J&C was quite the opposite: excellent communication, fast response for quote, competitive pricing, very knowledgeable, and the floor was repaired quickly and correctly. Was given a quote after numerous times asking for it. When trying to arrange to have other items repaired in home and schedule installation, they just vanished. This is very unprofessional behavior, especially since I have a year's warranty on my flooring.
