Highly recommend coming to this barbershop!!! Definitely one of the top barbershops in ABQ and open most days out of the week! Man with face tattoos was so rude. Absolutely messed my hair up, it's evident he has no experience cutting long hair. I showed him a clear picture of what I wanted, and he seemed like he was just there to get it over with. Took him 20 minutes at most to be done, and right after he finished he wanted me out of there. The other barbers seemed nice, however terrible experience overall and do not recommend the man I got. read more

The shop is clean and well kept. A typical guy vibe shop. Most if not all of the men are good guys and are not flaky when it comes to contacting them, making an appointment and them remembering said appointment. But that unfortunately that cannot be said for some of the female barbers at the shop Yes I know people can have bad days but when you reach out repeatedly to try and make an appointment and they flake out on you more than a couple of times it is problematic at that point. read more

When i first starting coming here it was cool. Cool ambiance, haircuts, and music. But the customer service is now HORRIBLE. Hugo is the owner and his 2 barbers are Cam and Allan. Cam does good haircuts but is not reliable. Ive had appts on 2+ occasions and he left me hanging. My time is valuable. Allan is unprofessional and provides bad customer service. His cuts are mediocre. Hugo- please provide additional training and feedback to your barbers. I unfortunately am forced to go elsewhere. read more

Love this place. Kimberely takes great care of me and on such short notice. The whole staff is awesome. I always feel very welcome here and to be quite honest, it's just a lot of fun to come here, period. I always look forward to it!! I get a pretty simple cut, nothing fancy but Kimberely has a way of always making it look top shelf. I see the other stylist too with their customers - one observation...this place has a ton of returning customer-which speaks volumes about them! I went in here for a quick cut because my hair was just getting too long and I was pretty far away from my other barber. I walked in, place looked nice, clean and it wasn't that busy. There was a lady named Kimberly ready to take my cut and was super nice and gave me a full treatment which I didn't even ask for. After the cut I was just blown away, my hair never looked better. We are from Florida in Albuquerque for the balloon festival. My wife was on my case to get a hair cut last on was just before leaving home. 8 weeks on the road. We love Mexican food found a restaurant in a small strip center. When we came out A real barbershop was next door with a walk in welcomed sign out. Decided to go there. What a great experience. One chair was open and it was Hugo after the usual greeting asked me how I wanted my hair cut. We began chatting. First time there and you would think I had been a life time customer. I came across this place one day after dropping off my daughter at school. I had been barber hopping since I moved to ABQ because I kept getting butchered at other barber shops. Hugo was the only barber working that day and ever since getting my hair cut by him he has been my go-to guy for haircuts. There are also two other very talented stylists here (a barber and a stylist for women). I recommend Hugo. He will fit you in on tight notice and give you an excellent haircut with a neck and sideburn shave. He can cut all varieties and lengths. Prices are very fair ($13). This place may not be located in the best-looking area but it is definitely a hidden gem for anyone needing a good quality haircut. read more

I have been searching for a simple barber. Someone who is dedicated, quick, good and affordable. Such a person exists in Albuquerque. Hugo at Signature Cuts (near Alameda and Louisiana in NE Heights) is a great, friendly, talented guy. I walked in, without an appointment, he promptly greeted me, and I waited less than five minutes to get into a chair. He gave me the best haircut I've had since coming to ABQ. He even shaved my sideburns and neck. This is old-fashioned service from a guy who knows what he is doing. The charge? Only $13. Very affordable. The place isn't fancy but it's comfortable. There's plenty of free parking. It's a neighborhood place - the kind I like to go to often. Since SportClips lost my favorite stylist I will be going to Signature Cuts from now on. There was only one person ahead of me, however, the gentleman cutting hair was more interested in his phone than cutting hair, and he did not seem to mind when I decided to leave. I took my son to get his hair cut buy a man named Hugo at signature cuts. It was the WORST experience ever. He was asking my 16 year old son who goes to LC high school so many personal questions, asking if my husband and I get along,if were good parents. My son kept looking at my the whole entire time, I can tell he was very uncomfortable. Not only did I over hear him telling my son he will give him free hair cuts if my son reviles anything that his son (Hugo's) is doing wrong at school. He is very unperfosinal in all ways. The hair cut simply looked horrible. I will never bring my kid back to this place. My son asked please never take me to that place again.
