Not only did i immediately like it after she was done while I was still in the salon, but I still liked it after I washed it and played with it myself a couple days later. It didn't take couple of weeks to fall back in love with it. I immediately loved it! I also really like Natashia. I felt like she really listened to me and answered all my questions. She also explained her technique to me as she was doing it and how it would affect the end result. I loved that she gave me that level of understanding. She also explained blew dry my hair beautifully. I recently had a baby and couldn't go in for my full service because of my breastfeeding schedule, and she explained how we could modify my service for a shorter session that would get me to the next time we meet for a longer session. I can't tell you how much i appreciated that level of understanding and flexibility. I would definitely recommend Natashia to others, especially if they're looking for blonding services. The space itself was very clean and had a boho southwest vibe too. It's dry cute and Natashia told me that the owner made the drift wood light fixture over the hair-washing sinks herself! How cool is that! I also like that this salon has a transparent payment structure and you can choose a stylist that aligns with your budget. I also like that this information is readily available on their website and that it also tells you what specialty each stylist has. That information was very helpful.

First time I had ever been to this shop (and honestly the first time I have been to a barber in probably 6 years) and I had a great experience. I got there right when they opened at 9am and Daniel ushered me right in. I needed a hair cut and beard trim (3 years without the touch of metal). Daniel made quick work of my hair and did a stellar job detailing it (tapering, etc). Then he went to my beard. I was definitely pretty nervous, but I let him know basically what I wanted. He did a great job! Gave it a nice shape, and again focused on the details. I was initially concerned about the price (since I had neglected to ask beforehand and they only take cash, but it turned out to be about the same price I used to pay on base. Great value, and great work. I will definitely be coming here again. read more

My 12-year-old son needed a haircut after having grown his hair quite long due to the pandemic. Initially he wasn't sure what he wanted but found a picture of a short cut on google. Rich, the owner, was great and he gave my son the cut that he wanted. He told my son what he was doing, explained his options for guard lengths and made sure my son signed off on the cut before we left. He also made great conversation with my son, talking about school, sports, how often to get a cut starting now and up through high school and about choosing styling products. I'm very happy that we chose to go here and feel that it was worth the money for the haircut. My son loves his hair and keeps saying how much better he feels having this cut. I will be bringing my son back in a month to get a trim. read more

Went to Goodfellas to take my wife to get a trim after a year long battle with breast cancer. I wasn't expecting much and I want to clean up my fuex hawk. I was extremely pleased with the results for me and my wife. Rich and his crew are the most professional barbers I have seen and the shop talk was fantastic! This place is pretty much in central Abq so it's easy to get to from anywhere. I have found my new barber and can't wait to go back in a couple of weeks. I usually cut my own hair because of the price and hassle of going to the barber but this place is amazing and well worth the time and money spent for a super nice haircut. Moving here from New York, finding a consistent place that over delivers and is always on point has been a struggle. That all ended when I found Rich and this shop. The atmosphere is amazing and encouraging, all the barbers are amazing people, and the service is impeccable. There are a few bad reviews which I can not even begin to fathom why other then the fact those people were already having a bad day to begin with and needed to vent. They don't even hold weight to the service and people that make up this place. If you want a top notch cut, mixed with laughs and a great time with people that love what they do and the people they serve all while meeting new people then this is the spot. I moved out to Albuquerque from New York and was a little worried about finding a place to get a great haircut. After a Google search to find local barber shops, I stumbled upon Goodfellas. I sat in Walter's chair and received the best haircut I've ever had and an awesome beard trim. I now regularly see Walter for my hair and beard and I always leave looking sharp. I travel from the West side to get my cut because to me, it's worth the extra time it takes for me to get there. Walter cares about my hair and beard as much, if not more than I do. Back in NY, I would pay at least $40 for a good haircut and beard trim but at Goodfellas, I pay $20 for I believe is a perfect trim and cut. Highly, highly recommended!! read more

The owner is a great guy. Had a couple people in front of me. One of the people in front of me was a young man who was, what seemed to me, being mentored by Rich. Very personal, even to an out-of-towner like myself. Tried this shop because of a questionable review about God and life long lessons. Rich is an enthusiastic business owner who believes in Christian values and is willing to share with any who are seeking. He can talk sports and weather and the rest, but I wanted to give my business to someone not afraid to talk about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Just got my cut from Daniel earlier today, and it looks great. It had been about a year since I last cut my hair, and I had hair past my shoulders and a long, scraggly beard. I didn't give him much instructions beyond saying I wanted to keep my beard and cut my hair short- he was ready with professional recommendations, and the end result is awesome. I've got my summer cut, and he shaped my beard nicely without losing much of the length. The guys at Goodfella's were friendly, and they are a conscientious local business. I had my first visit to Goodfellas barbershop recently and I was completely impressed with the professionalism and carefulness to do a really good job. My barber was Daniel and I couldn't be more pleased with his services. I think when you get a hair cut in a salon that takes as little as 10 minutes that you probably didn't get a good hair cut at all, just a rush job. We moved to the area back in January and it took me a couple trips before we found this place. Walter cut my hair on my first visit and he's the only one in ABQ that has cut it since. For some reason, it is hard to find someone that can get a fade just right, but Walter kills it every time. I definitely recommend this shop to anyone that isn't 100% satisfied with their current barber. The only downside is there is usually a wait, but once you get comfortable with one of the guys then I would suggest making appointments. read more

I have been going to Goodfellas for over a year. I moved to ABQ in March of 2015 and did not get my haircut until I went back to my home town in July! Rich and Daniel both do excellent work! They are the only ones I trust to cut my hair, and they also do my 3 and 4 year old boys. They are great with children! The Barbers cut my two sons hair just how I like it. It was my first time there and loved the fact that they were not talking "Bad Grown up speech" in front of my small boys. This barbershop is bar none the best in town. Two steps in the door and I was warmly welcomed as if I was a regular. A nice open layout with a comfortable waiting area besets the staff masterfully working their craft on the customers in the chairs. I went in for a shave and left with friends.
