I had a follow up visit with my doctor today (June 1, so 4 months later) and he was surprised by how much mobility I have regained (actually said 'Wow! 100% better!') and how much my pain is reduced. He told me I didn't need to come back to him because I was on 'auto-pilot now' and to just keep doing the massage therapy and stretches and I should be fine. He had initially recommended physical therapy which I tried for 6 weeks but that didn't seem to be helping my mobility or pain and in some respects appeared to be making things worse. That's when I started looking for an alternative, and although massage therapy is not traditionally covered by health insurance, it actually cost me less than my co-pays for physical therapy and has been worth every penny. I handed my doctor a stack of Cecile's business cards today and he took them and thanked me.
