I had started the job myself but got an anchor screw stuck and figured I should have a pro step in so I didn't wreck my new walls. All the supplies were here, placed where they needed to be, holes were measured and marked for custom made rods and drapes. He charges by the hour and moves very, very slow. He didn't have his own step ladder or anchor screws. In the first hour, he managed to put in 3 screws in holes that had already been marked. He claimed he "needed to remeasure" and that's why it took so long, but he used the holes that I had already marked. He also said it was too hard to do with custom cut rods. He also said it wasn't his fault because I had an anchor screw stuck in the wall already, which was the whole reason I hired him. This is what pros do: they come prepared, know the required materials and techniques, and advise the customer on the best way to proceed. I knew we needed to cut it off when he asked me how to use an anchor screw. He didn't know if you needed to pre-drill or not for a very basic and common anchor. I cannot imagine a professional handyman not knowing that. He used a level to stare at the pre-marked holes for what seemed like an eternity, just eating up time. 3 screws = $200. Seems like a nice enough man, but handyman may not be the profession for him, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just trying to take advantage of someone he assumed was too naive too know how long the job should take. He became very defensive, making excuses when I said we'd need to end the job at one hour. Im sure judging by other less than 5 star reviews here (that I really wish I'd have taken the time to read) he will post a very defensive response here as well. Please just don't take a job you don't have the required expertise to complete, and I don't want to hear defensive excuses when I'm still out $200 for almost no work completed.

The rep who came to my house was knowledgeable and efficient, the "measurer" who came on time was in and out in no time, and the installation guy knew what he was doing. The installation itself works -- so far. There's an apparent problem with a battery that doesn't seem to be charging as expected -- what I thought to have been a trivial problem, easily dealt with -- that has escalated into long, drawn out attempts at communication that seemed to disappear into the ether. I have several other window fixtures I was going to hire 3 Day Blinds to handle, but their shockingly unresponsive customer service has me looking elsewhere.

The sales representatives take a long time to respond, and when we contact customer service, we are either redirected back to sales or told someone will call us back -- and nobody does. We were provided quotes for our orders, trusted the company with our credit card information, and then were charged amounts that did not match the invoices/quotes we received. At this point, we are trying to resolve almost $600 difference between the amounts charged to our card and the invoiced amounts. What makes this even more frustrating is that nobody seems willing to take responsibility for resolving the issue. Sales says they don't handle the charges, customer service doesn't call back, and when they finally do, they simply tell me to resolve it with the sales representatives. I keep getting sent back and forth between departments, while no one actually takes ownership of the problem. I am left in the middle trying to figure out who can actually help me. On top of the billing issues, we also recently had a poor-quality installation/job done, and despite reaching out about it, we still have not received a response or any meaningful follow-up. We trusted this company and expected much better communication, accountability, and customer service. Instead, we have spent a significant amount of time chasing different departments just to get answers about charges and workmanship. If you value your time, clear communication, accurate billing, and customer service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
