Dr. Joyce never examined my knee at all--only checked my vitals. He was dismissive and made an inappropriate and medically inaccurate comment. Despite being in extreme pain and significant inflammation, I was not offered crutches, a brace, pain relief, or even basic guidance--not even Tylenol or ibuprofen. The front desk staff was equally unprofessional. I was given confusing paperwork, no clear explanation of where my MRI was scheduled, then accused of being "nasty" when I asked for clarification. I left frustrated, confused, and still in severe pain. Three weeks later, when I finally went for my MRI, I was informed that Dr. Joyce's office acknowledged the initial call and stated the referral would be faxed, but it was never sent and all subsequent calls were ignored. The imaging center attempted to contact the office multiple times, and my MRI had to be canceled and rescheduled, delaying my care by weeks. Because of these failures, I went over a month and a half with a bucket-handle meniscus tear, enduring unnecessary pain and delayed treatment. She spends time to get to know you and when you leave there is a feeling of "someone cares" that is with you. Her office is usually full which I recommend to be a patient person because everyone gets the same great exam as you will. Currently she is not accepting new patients which I suspect is because she does not wish to cut her time away from the patients she already has. Her Staff is cordial and always knows who I am and very efficient. For new patients there is a NP that I have not met but if she works with Dr. Sahay you know she is a caring person with great skill.

Be prepared to wait because she spends time with her patients...which is a good thing and rare these days. You don't get treated like cattle there. It is a low-budget operation though. Frequently the computers are running slow, but the exam rooms are kept neat and clean. I only have two complaints: 1. It's too hot in the waiting room 2. Some of the other patients arrive with very bad body odor and/or reeking of smoke Don't come here looking for pain pill prescriptions. They won't put up with your shit! They no longer take NEW NJ Family Care patients.

Now I am in pain, I had my Sunday morning wasted and I'll have to do it all over again tomorrow. Why is it so hard for people to be responsible and do their job? I am majorly disappointed.
