Coming into the session stylist said it was so healthy I didn't even need a trim. Despite assuring me that my curls would revert back, my hair is wavy at best and my bangs are completely straight. I did not go over the silk press or touch it up and no additional heat was applied after the service. My hair still smells burnt 2 weeks later. I called to ask for a reimbursement and it was denied. Additionally, they were rude and unprofessional. She never greeted or spoke to me unless I asked questions and took a break to have Panera when the service was only a couple of hours. I called the front desk and told them that my hair had not reverted and was told nothing except that I would receive a call that I still haven't received a day later. read more

Very very pleased with this salon. It operates like a well oiled machine! They have people to wash, dry and condition your hair. They do an amazing job. I drove from over an hour away for the silk press. VERY AFFORDABLE! They take walk ins until 2pm and they are also open 7 days a week. The young lady who owns this salon has struck a gold mine. I visited this salon this past weekend on a Saturday. I drove down to the area from Miami Gardens. I walked in a little after their opening. I signed in with the receptionist and sat down. I was called to the back less than 5 min later. I was placed at the washer and that was the best hair washing in my life. I just did not want her to stop. Overall, I'm very pleased with whole experience and enjoyed the salon setting. They had music playing but not too loud to disturb you and conversation was easy. I just moved to Miami a few months ago and I had no idea what I was going to do with my hair! Lelene's Beauty Bar has been a great solution for me! My favorite things so far are: Super convenient online booking system! I really like that I don't need to talk to anyone or wait for a response to book my appointment and can easily modify an appointment if I need to. . The salon is clean, calm, and there's not a lot gossiping! ;) I can really relax when I go there. They have several different treatments for hair and scalp care such as a scalp detox and a variety of conditioning options. They don't just style your hair, they care for your hair. I'm moving toward growing my hair out naturally soon (no heat) and I think I will still come to Lelene's for treatments and conditioning. Driving down to Cutler Bay was a mission but it was worth it. I arrived for my appointment and the staff was kind and informed me of the process for a silkpress. I haven't gotten my hair straightened professionally in 7 years so them talking me through the process was great. I want to give them 5 stars but I want to go back one more time to make that official. I used the 15% off code through yelp. I had to wait almost 3 hours in the chair after my wash, head still wet before i even got blow dryed then, when i got in the stylist chair she stopped in between every section she straightened to chat, meanwhile i am almost 5 hours in at this point. I got there at 11:40 and didn't end up leaving until 5:30... for a silk press... AND I asked the women for a small trim, i said i don't care is she think i need more i just want a trim. She cut about 3 inches of my hair off. No hair stylist listen to their clients now adays. ANDDD they didn't offer a discount for making me wait 5 hours in the salon for a ... silk press... They only had 2 stylist working in the salon the day i came in because one of them was out but they should've called their clients asking if they culd move their appointments back or reschedule so they didn't have people waiting in the salon for 6 hours. Came in for the Silk Press with steam treatment and it was soooo good. I was hesitant to get my hair down because just had baby and was sure if my hair was too tightly coiled. I would leave zero starts if I could, first of all let's just start by the pornography they put on the tv while clients get their hair done yesss they put movies with p@rn in pretty much, they cuss constantly. Products wise shampoo they add extra water on it so they don't waste product so lady's it's mostly water not shampoo. Third I was one of their employees and at only 18 year old I been screamed at infront of other customers, because I made a mistake, I've never disrespect nobody but the owner Lelene herself hit the table consecutively while screaming at me because I got confused with one of the tickets. This country gives me freedom of speech and what a went through is a horrible experience. Yet I couldn't leave because I have to pay rent and other bills so I had to deal with that. The unprofessionalism is crazy, after they treated me how they wanted, today my birthday the owner herself didn't even congratulate me even though I didn't needed but it's always good to maintain some type of empathy yet on my birthday I received a call to get fired and the reason was "we don't want you to feel bad already" welp I don't wish the best for those who disrespected me karma exists and at only 18 I wish this to nobody. read more

Once here at salon they had a older lady doing my daughters hair my child has kinky curly hair her washer was not gentle while combing her hair which was not tangled she did not hold hair while combing through just pulling and yanking while my child cry's took for me to say something for her to be softer MY washer was excellent a younger light skin girl (white) also the last girl when you 1st come in very good and professional the owner of the salon what I'm guessing just RUDE while under the steamer my daughter was watching a show the salon got quite all at once no blow dryers on and the lady says she don't have headphone loud and with attitude instead of just asking her to turn it down cause obviously she DOESNT! If I could give zero stars I definitely would. So I have been coming to this salon for about a year now and I've always done my hair with Coral. Who is amazing by the way. So I booked an appointment for Christmas Eve with her. I got to my appointment at 10 am on the dot and usually they are very punctual whenever I get there I'm seen right away. This time was completely different. I got there and voiced to the receptionist that I'm on a time crunch and I need to be out by a certain time. The receptionist was rude and said that I would have to wait another 10-15 minutes to be seen. It was 10:15 by then. I ended up waiting 40 MINUTES for someone to come get me to wash my hair. That is went I didn't see Coral and asked for her. The girl proceeded to inform me that Coral no longer works there. I was beyond livid. After waiting for 40 MINUTES, it's then I was told that my stylist isn't available!!!!! Instead of the receptionist doing her job and informing me at the time of check in she never said a word to me. On top of that there was 6 additional people waiting in front of me to be serviced too. With only TWO STYLIST WORKING!!!!!!! So I went back to the front and informed the receptionist that it was ridiculous that she didn't say anything to me about my stylist no longer worked there.
