I hate updating my review with negatives, especially with such friendly staff, but I have to be honest. My gel manicure started peeling in one week. By yesterday, day 10, they were 70 percent removed and looked atrocious. I went back to my usual place near my house today and got gel redone and also realized there was a sloppy job here. The gel was not even on my nails. Some nails, the gel was thicker on certain parts, especially towards the tip. The place I normally go did them perfectly even today ... no problem. Also the selection of colors and styles was endless at my usual place. I will say my pedicure has held up at a normal pace. If I was in a bind, that's the only thing I would come back here for. read more

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! If I could give negative stars I would. I just went here on Thursday 5/20/21. The man who did my nails tried to tell me I can't do tips with SNS dip. Which I know you can because I got it done somewhere else and it was beautiful. Then he tried to sell me acrylic which I HATE. He did not remove me old tips and just dipped my nails in the SNS anyways. Plus he cut my cuticle with the machine. SMH. This place was not worth the $45 dollars save your money. read more

If I could give a negative star amount I would. Worst nail experience ever! Gouged my nail so bad. Bled for quite awhile. Nail tech didn't want me to rinse it off before he continued. Every single one of my nails were uneven. Asked for almond shape and I got a mixture of almond, oval and stiletto! Not smoothly or evenly painted. Weird grooves in ALL of my nails! NOT happy! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I could give a negative 5 stars I would. They were rude and unprofessional also not very thorough. I paid $100 for a full set and a pedicure. Mind you. This man didn't massage or let me feet soak. He filled the water and just started. Water had no kind of salt in it for moisture or whatever it does for your feet. The man had my finger nails thick as hell and refused to do coffin shape or longer. Kept filing Down. Then put like 10 coats even though I was clearly explaining what I wanted. I had no more time at this point to have him fix my nails. I was mad the entire time. He knew I was too and kept making smart ass remarks like oh I wanted my nails different so that's what I got. This isn't my usual nail place but I decided to go because it was convenient. I will not be a place I go back to again... the place was clean and the people were nice but the quality of the work was bad. I got a pedicure and a fill with the gel polish. The pedicure barely made my heels smooth and the fill has so many missing polish spots or spots that are bumpy it's ridiculous. I'm highly disappointed overall by the quality and the price was way to much for what I got. I'm leaving for vacation so I don't have time to go back and fix it... Unplanned, first time visit to Silky Nails. I requested shellac removal and shellac manicure ($30). The salon is spotless. May, the owner, was the nail technician. She was pleasant and nice. The tools were sanitized (because some places don't!). Shellac removal required a lot of scraping which isn't necessary if nails are soaked a bit longer. The cuticle clean up was a bit rushed and not as thorough as I had expected. The tips of the nails were not buffed out so the edges are still jagged and catch on clothes. Polish application is just ok, as cuticles we're not removed well. She also cut down the sides of my nails, which I'm not used to and no one has done before - my nails are straight, I didn't understand this part. She pulled on one of the hang nails with her finger and it bled. Hand massage was very quick, mostly pulling on the fingers. It's not the greatest manicure + shellac I've had but not the worst. Edit: Shellac lasted less than one week. Because it was applied sloppily, over the cuticles in some places and especially on the nail bed, the shellac lifted off, the edge bubbled and literally peeled back. $30US. Never again. read more

I was visiting from out of town and they had an appt the next day! The pedicure was outstanding! There was no rush and my massage lasted a full 20 minutes! Great selection of polish/gel! Very clean facility and plenty of chairs! I'm an OPI polish girl but the DND really lasted! Great experience! read more

My sisters and I came in for mani and pedi's, spent $200 before tip, for a bad paint job. The top coat on my shellac was not smooth, but you could see the streaks in them. I had to put a clear coat over it just to hide the streaks. My sister had asked for a marble accent nail and got what looks like wheat strands. The polish on my toes were very sloppy, some toes only got half the top coat, which the polish peeled off where the top coat was not applied, some toes the polish didn't even get close to the cuticle. We are very unhappy with what we paid for. We will be going back to have them fix what they messed up. read more

Went in for a manicure. Henri told me that I could not have white tips because I had slammed my finger in the door and the spot on my nail would show through. That's when I should have left. Told him I wanted a manicure with the dip polish. His idea of a manicure was burning off the skin from my cuticles with his electric nail buffer. The polish, which is supposed to last up to 3 weeks lasted 3 whole days. I had 2 nails pop off like they were Press on nails while I was typing at work. Wish I could give a negative star review. Bad. Newly opened business! May and Henry are two of the most kind hearted nail technicians I ever had the pleasure to meet. They both are fantastic! I wear acrylic nails and certainly spoiled by their commitment to their work. I have been going to them for years and excited for their new beginnings. With each visit, whether a full set or fill my cuticles are always cleaned up, nails are filed evenly, ends are polished and I leave very happy. They take pride in what they do, never rush their work, and I always feel quite welcomed. Silky nails is totally spotless and cleanliness is very important to me. I have been getting acrylics for 6+ years now and never before have i had such a disappointing salon experience in those years. Im not sure what the name of the man who did my nails was but he was one of the RUDEST people i have ever met. while doing my acrylics one of them had smudged and instead of fixing the acrylic he filed my nails so crooked while "fixing" the hole of acrylic that was missing that its at a COMPLETE slant, not to mention not at all what i had asked for. I was cut with the drill multiple times, and also left the salon with literal chunks of acrylic all over my skin. while going from his station to the drying table i picked my phone up and was yelled at for smudging my nails, which he then rudely fixed my rubbing his finger into my nail to fix. I literally left the salon in tears because i was so upset with how i was treated&how terrible my nails turned out. Honesyly the worst $30 i have ever spent.
