We promptly received a proposal for a ducted and ductless design that achieved our heating/cooling goals with a lot less electrical load than other cookie-cutter proposals we had received. Jay uses the latest technologies to design the system and communicated with us through every step in the process. We felt like informed partners, not just clients. Mitsubishi models are not cheap, but they are the best quality on the market. Jay makes the process so much easier by taking the rebate off his price up front, so he is the one who has to wait for the rebate- not you! That also means you can totally trust his work, because if it's not done right, he doesn't get paid! I can't say enough about the quality of both his work and the electrician's. They were prompt, clean, and did such a beautiful job that even my critical contractor father was impressed! The mini splits are working very well, even in this cold winter. I shop around for everything and am picky and Very cheap. I have dealt with many construction and contractors for decades and can read people very well. I had about 8 companies come and give me quotes and all of them were trying to hustle me. I randomly called Baystate, 45 miles from my house, trying to avoid the scammers on Cape Cod, and it was fate. He was happy to do the ride. I trusted and got a good vibe right away, he was a straight shooter. Jason was as as honest as you will find, and knowledgable. He reminds me of a younger version of me (a bundle of helpful energy). If asked a question, he will research, and find it his duty to get you the best options and answers. He takes pride in his work, the other companies were just looking for money. He is unprofessional, a liar and a thief; and I will provide evidence of all three in this review. He states that he guarantees all his work, he does not. Look for yourself at the pictures of the damage he caused and never notified me about. He only took ownership once I questioned him about it. He attempted to over charge by 8 hrs at $255 an hour (approximately $2K) stating he worked hours he didn't, to include travel time to and from the job site that was never discussed which is in violation of the Massachusetts code of professional responsibility. Once I notified him of the ring cameras I have at my house showing his exact arrival and departure time he changed his story and charged me the correct hours. He left the job site one night with a rag stuffed in a drain pipe leaking all over my basement and stated he'd "fix it tomorrow" when contacted at 4pm. He is not a tradesman and in no way professional. Caleb was paid 1/3 up front ($4K for 3hrs of work) and 1/3 upon completion of the rough plumbing ($4.8K approximately) he was paid on time and never waited for more then 4 days to be paid when we disagreed on the $2K he tried to steal from me. He now is failing to return to guarantee his work as he stated he would to fix the shower base that he improperly installed. The tiler is now unable to complete the project stating that it has a high likely hood of cracking. Pictures and video attached of all damage and shotty craftsmanship completed Caleb.
