It was enticing as it was located in the CT plaza on Innisifil Beach. I had to give it a try as I was beyond my surroundings and I'm a total fan of poutine. It was pretty reasonable for the large portion. I just wished the fries were the thick cuts. The gravy and the cheese curds were really good, I did bring it back to my friends place and the fries kind of soaked up. Next time I'll make sure to dine in at their tables and experience it first hand. Unfortunately did not capture the food as I was way too hungry. As many of you probably know by now, mac and cheese is my all time favourite. I saw that they had it as a side dish for $2 so had to try it. I wasn't really feeling a sandwich (though the pulled pork looked really good), so I opted for the pulled pork nachos. They nachos were $8 and a pop was $1. When I ordered, the guy who took my order said "why don't we make it a combo" and only charged me $10. I love when places do that! Anyway, the nachos were perfectly cheesy, and were topped with sour cream and pico de gallo (one of my fave things in the world). It was fresh and home made. The absolute best was the pulled pork. It was so deliciously juicy and was coated with a tangy BBQ sauce - not too saucy though! I would get this again for sure. The mac and cheese was just as good. They use the spiral noodles which are always fun. It's not too too cheesy, but has some good herbs and spices that make up for it. It has a bit of a kick too. Just a slight bit of heat. I would have liked a bit more, but I'm not going to lie, with the mac and cheese and nachos I was stuffed and had to bring some more. And yes, it was just as good heated up later. I've been in Hamilton for work this past week too and have walked by Jackson Square everyday hoping the food truck would be there. Unfortunately I've been disappointed b/c it hasn't been there, but they do have a "where are we" map on their website.

They were also pretty stingy in portioning the brisket and cheese curds. Brisket I understand but cheese curds too? In addition, the brisket reminded me more of beef jerky - chewy and dry. Pulled pork classic - $2 dollar more than competing trucks but was served with fries. The sandwich was underdressed. The pulled pork was overcooked and tough. The bun was not toasted. Not the worst sandwich but there are just so many better options around! Overall - Urban BBQ is the prime example why I usually frown upon getting foods from food trucks - Overpriced, small portion, mediocre foods.

WE LOVE Big Boy's hotdogs, specifically the sausages, and go out of our way to grab one every time we're downtown. The stand is located near the Metro Toronto Convention Center and not hard to spot. We order the spicy Italian sausage. So many delicious toppings including hot peppers, honey mustard and MORE. I love how Big Boy's slices the sausage open and grills it's for nice char marks. 100% recommend you try this spot before a sports game or even if you're just looking to satisfy your sausage cravings.
