Finally decided to check out this farmer's market beside The Octagon steakhouse -- and was hungry, so decided to grab some grub at Silvana's D'lite.
First off: it's a one-woman show, run by this Italian grandmother. Everything seems to be homemade (which is awesome). We ordered a veal parm sandwich (comes with the optional, complimentary roasted bell peppers), as well, a stuffed pepper (filled with Parmesan, eggplant, zucchini, beef, spices) and several pieces of stuffed mushrooms.
Tasty? Yes, but the sandwich could have been much better if the bread was heated/toasted. It ended up getting quite soggy. The rest of the food was delicious.
Check it out if you are in the area for a quick bite -- the total came out to less than $15 bucks (with a can of pop). Just note: there are only two small tables available! read more
