The gelatos are made fresh, with flavours rotating every two weeks. They also offer vegan flavours, too. You can find classic flavours like chocolate, pistachio or more creative ones like Saffron Mango, Ferrero Rocher. They also offer gelato pie, gelato cake, affogato, soft serve, sundae, milkshake and take home gelato. The staff are very friendly and accommodating; Namrata helped us sampling a few flavours before choosing. We really enjoyed the creamy texture and variety of flavours. One useful tip: the store is at 215 Lakeshore Rd W in the Brightwater development, but the entrance faces the parking lot, so it can be a little tricky to spot from Lakeshore the first time.

The only Nani's Gelato that I have been to is the one in Box Grove in Markham. It was cool finding out recently from a friend that there's a location in Port Credit in Mississauga. I haven't been back to Port Credit since I attended Mississauga Ribfest back in 2019. It was nice to return to a different part of Lakeshore Road West. This Nani's is in condo area with a bunch of businesses on the ground floor, including LCBO, Farm Boy, COBS Bread, and more. There is a parking lot smack in the middle of all these businesses and condo buildings. I found a parking spot closer to Farm Boy and backed into it. I then walked over to Nani's Gelato. It was raining when I drove over here after work on a Wednesday afternoon. A yellow weather alert was issued for hail and gusty winds. By the time that I walked over to Nani's, the rain had stopped. I opened the door. I got Jana behind the counter, who was the most helpful, nicest person. She said that I could sample whatever gelato I wanted before committing to buying anything. I like that there are vegan options. I'm borderline lactose-intolerant and love that I don't have to worry about dairy if I got with vegan flavours. I sampled the following flavours: - Blueberry lemonade (vegan) - Thai red tea - Pistachio I like that each flavour has a label saying that it contains nuts, (CN), contains gluten (CG), or is vegan (V). I didn't know what the short forms stood for, which was kind of like being at work, so I always ask. This place has cones and cups. I am a gelato cup person, so I got half hazelnut rocher (it does taste like a Ferrero Rocher chocolate) and half blueberry lemonade. It came with a branded wafer, which was fun to enjoy. I loved how creamy and smooth the gelato was. Both flavours were amazing. I am more for a fruit person and the blueberry lemonade wowed me right off the bat. The yummy blueberry flavour paired nicely with the bright lemony finish. If you love Ferrero Rocher in gelato form, you'll enjoy the hazelnut rocher. It felt fancy and festive having it. I'd get a pint just before Christmas. I'm already planning my holiday gelato! This place makes sundaes. It has a strawberry version, which would have been my go-to flavour. However, I am also a Biscoff lover and this place had a Biscoff sundae. I normally don't indulge in two frozen treats, but I had to get the Biscoff sundae. Jenna let me know that it's Biscoff gelato with Biscoff drizzle, topped with crumbled Biscoff and a full Biscoff cookie. OMG. I can die happy now after having it! The Biscoff sundae is a must if you are a fan of the cookie or cookie butter. It was fantastic. I ended up scooping up the gelato with the Biscoff cookie at one stage. This sundae was excellent. This store is spacious, with a lot of seating to enjoy your frozen treats. It is much larger than the Markham location. When the weather is nice, there is patio seating. The tables and chairs were indoors because the weather was rainy and blah. This store has two washrooms. Each one is a single stall. I needed to wash my hands after one of my desserts melted on me. The one that I used was clean, and had both a dryer and paper towel to dry off my hands. I was so enamoured having the blueberry lemonade gelato that I got a pint to take home. I signed up for Nani's loyalty points system. I need to figure out how it works, but I was happy that I earned points during my visit. I paid with a credit card. I tipped and tapped. All went well. Jenna was wonderful helping me out. I'd go back just to say hi to her and her wonderful customer service. She even got me a glass of water to cleanse my palate between the two flavours of desserts that I had. It's a nice addition to Port Credit. I'd stop by when I'm back in the neighbourhood. (350)

I was on my lunch break and this plaza was the closest option for food. I was originally going to order shawarma at the pita place out front but I couldn't justify the prices and left to go walk around. I almost didn't see Lola Norma's but I'm glad I kept walking down the hall because this place is definitely a hidden gem! There were plenty of options to choose from, they have lots of meat based entrees, as well as varying sides (empanadas, lumpia, tortang tolong, etc.) and desserts (puto, turon, cassava cake, etc.) depending on the time of day. I originally wanted tortang tolong (eggplant omelette) but they were sold out, so I ordered the 2pc combo with rice. My mains being monggo & beef tapa. SO GOOD and piping hot! The monggo had the perfect texture, and the beef tapa literally melts in your mouth. Both portions were packed to the brim and had incredible flavor. Not to mention the portion of rice was ginormous so I actually asked for a half size since I knew I wasn't going to finish it all. $13 for what could really be split up into two meals if you wanted to. Bonus points for the service, they're obviously family owned and they were so kind and offered samples before I chose my item. I would absolutely come back and especially recommend to others who work in the area looking for hot and ready to go food especially if you're in a time pinch.

They were in a small food venture. It was a good day to visit and try out their corn, i haven't had corn in a long timeee which i was so excited! I ordered 2 corns - one for me, one for my mom and also bought sweet tea. The guys were so nice! It didn't took them long to cook, we only had to wait few minutes. We can choose any toppings but me and my mom decided to go with seasoned salt only. We took it home. I have to say....i ended up finishing mine and mom's corn hahaha! The sweet tea was topped with lemon - refreshing and perfect! Such a short experience i went but so memorable, love it hehe!

The crispy gnocchi were coated in cheese curds and smothered in braised veal. What a combination. The gnocchi were not heavy, like others I've tried. They were lighter and absolutely deep fry-able. The veal melted in your mouth. Instead of gravy the jus from the veal did the trick. If you told me I'd be eating a gnocchi poutine last week, I would've said you were crazy. Apparently the Arancini is to die for. At least I know what I'm getting next time!

While at Celebration square on Canada Day, there were various food trucks, the likes of which I've seen a million times (fg, Smoke's, Per Se, Beaver Tails, etc.) but I had never heard of Frankie Fettucine. I saw they had 6 selections, which included a couple kinds of poutine (osco busco was one of them), bacon mac n cheese and sundaes. I decided to get the Bacon Mac N Cheese for $10 as I just had poutine earlier in the day. This was one of the best Mac N Cheese's I've ever had. The pasta seemed like it was hand made, the bacon was flavourful and the cheese, OMG!. This was not your normal cheddar cheese. I think it was Parmesan and it melted so perfectly. I have to say, this is one of the few food trucks I felt I got my money's worth. Verdict:: If I see them again, I will definitely give them another go and hopefully let me ride the bandwagon.

Very close to square one shopping mall, this is a good option when you're in the area. There was one person in there working as far as we could tell when we went in this evening. We grabbed the box and some tacos. The box is a mix of rice and salad with a choice of filling (we got chicken) and it was topped with some beans, corn and chickpeas with some delicious sauce. The tacos were cool- not your typical Mexican taco with flour or corn tortilla. It was like a pita but crispy after being in the press with the filling and topped with lettuce, salsa and sauce. The sauces are a variety- some being hummus or a tahini which is where the fusion cuisine takes place. Would definitely come back.

Preparation was super quick. I ordered from the Square One parking lot before starting my car, and 15 mins later when I arrived, it was already ready. Food-wise, I'm a fan. While I enjoy shawarma, I often find it too heavy especially for summer, so I tend to stay away. I liked this chicken/rice box a lot since the sauce felt much lighter and easier to eat even when it's hot outside. The portion size was good; the styrofoam takeout box the meal came in was topped up and the amount in it would definitely be enough for one person. There was enough sauce, the whole bowl felt very fresh, and I liked the tomatoes that topped the bowl since it added something cold + tangy to the meal. Location is convenient, next to Square One and easy to find, but has limited (all paid) street parking. It's best to go with someone to drive, pop off quickly to pick up, and go. All in all a solid experience. I'd definitely come back for more Alijandro's Box. At the BOGO price I got it for, portion size was great, but at the original price, I'd think it leans towards being pricey, as the box isn't really that full. But, flavour and freshness are all really good, so I can anticipate myself craving this soon!
