I tried their deep dish special pizza and it was one of the best I have ever had. My son couldn't stop talking about the crust and how well made it was, "better than Lou Malnati's". The filling was very flavorful, a nice amount of garlic, and perfectly seasoned. Will definitely be returning soon. read more

Recently ordered two Ital beef, for delivery, very good, but quite salty. Jus was superb (with exception of last statement). Wife not happy with toasted bun, I was very happy with same. Will use this place again, hopefully less salty next time. Worth a try. read more

I've ordered from here twice. The first time my cheese only pizza was delivered with pepperoni and sausage on it. The second time the order was almost an hour late being delivered. I will say that the management does care about their customers and take complaints seriously. read more

As far as manteno goes we all agree silvanos is the best in town and there are a lot of pizza places in manteno. They received a 9 out of ten in our pizza log. which is pretty darn good! One could easily guess that this mom-and-pop gem would have great pizza (they do). But please, if you are ever in the area, and have working taste buds, order their Italian Beef. Extremely underrated, and I would compare the happiness and fulfillment of my experience to the birth of my daughter. I've only been there once, had the pizza and wings. The wings were pretty good, but the rating is for the pizza. If you like New York style than this is the place. I've lived in Chicago for 11 years, but I'm originally from NYC and this is the closet I've had to really good NY style pizza since I left. The crust is not too too thick or too thin, and definitely not like the cracker crust in way too many pizza places in Chicago. It's just right, kinda chewy but not rubbery. The sauce was a bit sweet, but not overly so. There was enough cheese without being drowned in it. And the toppings were fresh and tasty. All in all a really good pizza. read more

During a trip to Illinois, my boyfriend and I got the large deep dish special pizza here and loved it! The crust was thick and perfectly crispy and the cheese, sauce and veggies were layered on heavily. Although the sauce wasn't on top like a traditional Chicago deep dish, the flavors still meshed deliciously. Each slice was so filling that it took us 3 days to finish it! This place has extremely reasonable prices and I'd love to stop here again next time we travel to Manteno. read more

I cannot give this place a high enough rating. The owners (Steve & Carol) and their employees (mostly family) are some of the nicest people we have ever met. We were ordering our pizza and my wife saw them with a watermelon and said something about it because she's never had a watermelon from Illinois and the next thing we know we have this huge slice of watermelon on our table. Silvano's has the best pizza in the village of Manteno - hands down. May even be the best in the Kankakee/Bourbannais/Bradley arena. Never had delivery because I live a ways out of town and they do not offer it, but I do not mind. I only have ever had to wait a max of 3 minutes upon arrival. The staff is friendly and the pizza is oh-so-good. The sauce is almost sweet - there is something about the sauce that sets it apart from everywhere else. The crust is thin, but not too thin that it won't hold the toppings. Have tried several combinations of toppings including their cheeseburger pizza which I normally would never try, but it was great! Who would have thought that pickles on a pizza would be awesome? Don't knock it till you try it I suppose... read more

Great pizza! Definatly best in town. We always love the wildcat at the firehouse! Sylvano sticks are a great add on. Hard working owners doing what they can to make you happy!
