She got her ears done by needle about a month ago and she was due for her posts to be shortened. It's been difficult to get an appointment at most of the locations because despite the stores being open, there might not be a nurse on site. We arrived a little early and it looked like they were in the middle of getting some social media/marketing shots done. We tried our best to stay out the the way. The nurses came up, Christine and Melani (apologies if I fudged the spelling). It seemed like Melani was being trained and I appreciated being asked for permission to allow her to change the posts on my daughter. I'm in medical myself, so I understand the need for hands-on training. My kiddo was calm and if she felt any pain she didn't let on. They were gentle and made sure everything was set the right way before sending us off. I completely forgot the name of the woman that checked us out. She was also very nice. While my daughter was being serviced, I inquired about getting my tragus pierced and Christine checked out the ear and said it shouldn't be a problem. I think I will come back to get my own piercings done very soon!

They even worked with me on the price(the boss did) I told them I can't do it today but will be back in the morning. Came back the next day got it done and was extremely happy with my Tattoo. Got my nose piercing here 3 years ago and my septum piercing 1 year ago…read more Those 2 experiences were great. The nose piercing took some time to heal and there were a few ups and downs. But it was not because of the placement. The septum piercing was extremely quick to heal and I was scared initially because I have a deviated septum. But to be honest, you can't even tell now with the ring in the way! I love it! I'm a bit conflicted because apparently using antibacterial soap is no longer a recommended thing to do as per the APP but this place still provides it as a recommendation. Not sure if that is accurate or not but truthfully with my nose piercing I did the antibacterial soap and I did have a point where it was irritated. Eventually it healed thankfully. With the septum I only did saline spray and it healed beautifully. I'm in a few piercing groups so that is the info that is conflicting to me. That's my experience and I will definitely come back for more! I love it here personally! Can't wait to do more in the near future!

Nevertheless, my desire to want piercings overpowered any fear I had - and after doing a decent amount of research I landed here at Big Joe's. Joe's is the oldest tattoo parlor in Westchester, and one I have passed by frequently while walking in downtown White Plains. There were several aspects that led to me choosing here - the legacy, the reviews, and the fact they had a dedicated piercer on staff with a lot of experience. I noticed they took walk-ins, so on a day off I decided to head over. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by their piercer Shiela; it was not busy so after signing the standard forms I made my way to the back. I didn't go nuts - just one piercing in each lobe, and throughout the process Shiela was great. She was super sweet, knowledgable, professional, and gave great tips to ensure proper healing. She did everything that I read a good piercer should do. Overall, I was really satisfied with my experience. I've only had the piercings a couple of months so I still have a ways to go with the healing, but I love them and wouldn't hesitate to return should I want another.

She thought she hung up and I heard her saying I was acting "like a puppy" who doesn't want to take my piercing out. She also referred to me as a b**ch bc she thought I couldn't hear her. I was polite and respectful and never gave her a reason to be so hurtful and unprofessional. I've gotten multiple piercings from her and even sent family there, and I always tip generously. If you need help with a piercing, or even if you don't, you will probably get talked about behind your back. I won't be going back or sending anyone else there. I'm so disappointed.

Now I am stuck with this embarrassingly bad tattoo on my arm and I'm going to have to spend even more to fix it. Owner was a complete jerk. Do not go unless you want a painful tattoo that will come out horrible and be expensive to cover up. It's supposed to be a hand holding a crystal ball with a snake but it does look like anything I call it "the claw"
