I've only gone for waxing Brazilian & full leg at first I was happy now I won't have to go downtown New York to get waxed and she was fast and painless during the process. However, upon having fun with my husband he noticed that I had tons of patches of hair on my buttocks and behind my thighs. I also noticed when doing the Brazilian she didn't even advise me to spread my cheeks so she can get in there and eliminate the hairs like they do in downtown NY. As a result I think that when it comes to waxing which is all I can comment on isn't her specialty she needs to work a bit more on that. It's a bummer I've already went twice but this confirmed it's a waste of time and money for me I rather go to downtown Ny where I know I'll get every piece of hair on my body removed. Now disclaimer : of course if you have ingrown hairs I'm aware those don't come off easily with waxing but aside from those I do want every hair removed perfectly that's what I'm paying for. I'm wishing her best of luck in her journey and that she learns more I've seen her advertising eyelashes that might be her strong suit I can't say I never done it. But waxing for me is not the best location for that service.

So by the time I made it to Manisha, my brows were as far from fleeky as possible and my mustache was silky and gleaming in the moonlight #hawt Manisha was so gently while sorting out my fur, there was no irritation from the wax or threading. My unmanageable brows were tamed. She was even able to make generally unruly and sparse brows look full without even tinting them!!! She's a pro and knows exactly what she's doing. On top of all that, the prices are amazing!!!!! Thank you so much, Manisha!!! I'll be back in 2 weeks for my touch up.

I got an awesome groupon here ($15 for 5 sessions; gosh, I really should've went for the 10…read moresessions one ...) and I have very ambiguous feelings about the upcoming end. It's great to come in, get my eyebrows threaded, and feel like the tip that I pay upon leaving is how much I actually paid. Even so, $3 + $2 leaves me with a measly $5 operation after which I feel like I am much more presentable to the world. After all, I have a really bad habit of not coming to get my eyebrows threaded until they're in a bad shape; they always have to reshape when I come :x It's recommended that you get your eyebrows threaded every 2 weeks so that there isn't as much pain. (I guess the pain comes from the shaping, rather than the trimming). Five minutes of agony and sometimes tears - girls, don't wear non-waterproof mascara or eyeliner if you plan on being seen in public afterwards - but it's totally worth it. The minutes are gone before you know it, and the soothing mini-massage of the brows with the aloe gel help tremendously. Both Manisha and Maggie are very nice, and they can be talkative if you want or silent while you concentrate on bearing out the pain. I tend towards the latter. :x For those who were not able to get the groupon, they do have a $5 threading early morning special from 10-11am! :) Everything else is pretty reasonably priced as well. The only con is that this is kind of out of the way for me, especially now that I go to school in Washington Heights; although I really like this place, I'm not thaaat willing to trek this far. There isn't really much around in this neighborhood, and I don't feel entirely safe walking around when it gets dark. You actually have to ring a bell before you can get buzzed in, which is a reasonable safety precaution, but ... yeah, that makes me feel uneasy. Overall, Eyebrows Threading Spa is very neat, well-kept, comfortable, and relatively painless. The whole experience is smooth, and the clean, tasteful interior is definitely NOT what you'd expect from the surrounding area during the trek to and from the nearby subway stations. Do not be alarmed by the area, either; it's not actually unsafe. I think. :)

I was running to a meeting and knew the little wolf I had howling on my forehead needed to be tamed. I look on yelp and see what's close by and has enough reviews and stars and find nothing. I see this little gem and say hmmm I'll live if it comes out bad. I get there and there isn't a wait. I say to the threader I hardly have eyebrows, just clean up the bottom. Her response... no problem. Not only did she listen, she gave me a nice arch shape and made me look like I have major brows!! This is maybe the 2nd time I've been impressed with an eyebrow threader. So much so I'll bring my wolf here to tame when needed.

I had two friends beg me to do microblading on my eyebrows for years because I was always fIlling them in too dark & super uneven, & it was making them crazy. One was just shaped differently than the other & I wanted my eyebrows more full! Anyway, I gave Hudson Beauty bar a call and requested to be an appointment as soon as my gf annoyed me yet again after doing my makeup one evening. Ester was amazing from the minute we talked. I easily made an appointment to come in for a consultation and we discussed what I was looking to do and how much it would cost. I came into HBB on a Tuesday late afternoon as she was finishing up another client. She profusely apologized and told me to take a seat and grab anything I wanted from the mini fridge. Once she was done, we chatted for a bit and then she sat me down in the chair and drew out how eyebrows would look (I dId show her a picture so she had an idea). She said she could go ahead or I could come back. I told her to go ahead with the whole thing and we picked out the color I wanted them. She then applied some numbing cream and waited 20 min. The procedure itself did not take that long. 20-30 tops. It hurt a tad bit at first, but then I was fine. When she showed me the final look, I actually gasped. I was (am) so speechlessly happy. I am sooooo very glad I did this. I feel like it brought a new look to my face! I loVe the way I look and would highly suggest the procedure and this salon to anyone! No matter what I say, my words will always fall short of describing the spectacular work she did on my eyebrows.
