    Samosas with sauces
    Uriia H.

Indian food is not my typical go to but I decided to try a bit at this food hall. One of the specials was butter chicken so I chose that along with an order of samosas. The samosas had good flavor..a bit thick for my liking but the spice level was great and the dipping sauces were tasty. Butter chicken was super flavorful. I needed a bit more rice...rice to chicken ratio a bit off. Lol. The cucumber salad was light and refreshing. Overall it was enjoyable meal

Solid yummy Fresh food A bit bland for Indian Rice a bit undercooked for me Convenient Prices aren't bad but a bit inflated for what you get You will need to get more than one roll to get full Definitely get a samosa I'm Bengali so I know Kati rolls should be made with more flavor & buttery paratha, this is good for non Desis though . They need to give you a cup of curry to go with all that rice that serves as nothing but a filler because it is weird to eat rice with a sandwich.

Kati roll with Chicken Tikka Masala

I had the Kati roll with Chicken Tikka Masala. I was a little disappointed. The Kati roll was hot, but a little too greasy. The Chicken Tikka Masala was a little off too. The portion was nice, and the flavor was okay. The problems were the chicken was overcooked. Some of the pieces of chicken breast were very dry. And, the sauce was spicy, but it was not consistent. Some bites were nice and spicy (I like heat) and the next lacked any spiciness. Maybe the spice was added later, and not mixed in well. Silver Kati is owned by the same family that runs Silver Coin in Hoover. Silver Coin is a full service restaurant, and I'm a huge fan. I'm sure there are other combinations on the Silver Kati menu that I would have enjoyed more, and would recommend.

I love the Pizitz Food Hall. I've been to this food hall multiple times, but for some reason have always walked past this place. I love Indian food, but my experience of having good quality Indian food in Bham have been subpar so I was skeptical at trying new places. But today was the day, I was craving some tikka Marsala and some samosas, so I decided to grab a couple items from this place while my friend went to her go-to place (Ono Poke, also one of my favorites). I went with the Kati roll with chicken tikka Marsala and two samosas. Total of around $15. Kinda pricey, but I would say the quality of the food was worth the price. Portions are decent, not a lot, but also not skimpy. Loved the crispy hot Kati roll, very flavorful chicken tikka Marsala. The rice and yogurt sauce also very good. Loved the samosas as well along with their chutni and sweet sauce. Overall, I am happy to have tried this place out. Worth it when I am in the Indian food mood. Very nice staff as well. Will be back again.

    Samosas Yom Yom

Silver Kati is conveniently located inside the popular Pizitz Food Hall downtown. Pizitz Food Hall is one of my favorite places to go because of the variety of choices. I confess that I was here this day to eat some Ramen at Ichicoro but when I passed Silver Kati I had to get an order of their samosas. So this is a short and simple review of their samosas. They serve "Indian Street Food" and I will return to try something on their full menu. However their samosas were fantastic. Made fresh, fried perfectly, filled with potato, peas surrounded by a flaky wonderful crust... Yom Yom. It was served with 2 dipping sauces: a red sweet sauce and green chimichurri. I can't wait to go back.

Fish tikka masala with rice and vegetable samosas

If you want a bang for your buck at the Pizitz, then order the main entree here with rice. The fish tikka masala with rice was a huge portion (rice and fish), and it was very delicious too. I've ordered the Kati roll before, and if I remember correctly, it was a smaller portion for the same price. Their vegetable samosas are also on point. Since the restaurant has been open, I think I've eaten here every time I've come to the Pizitz.

You know when you're craving something but don't know what? Wellllll it might just be a good chicken tikka!! We went there after yoga and had chicken tikka masala and samosas. What impressed me most was the freshness of the ingredients. The green sauce that came with the samosas was very fresh and tasty. The samosas were flavored evenly and tasted very good. The chicken tikka was also very fresh. It came with a little bit of salad on top and fresh yogurt which complimented it very well. They have levels of spicy and we asked for medium and it was just right. I think next time I will ask for it to be hotter. But it was great. I have been wanting to find a good Indian restaurant because I like Indian food. I tried a couple of other places over the years and nothing hit right. This place was just right.

I had heard about this new spot at Pizitz and wanted to try it out. I headed there for dinner tonight and ordered a rice bowl with chicken. I chose the tikka masala sauce and was very pleased I did. I like how there aren't too many things on the menu to choose from because it keeps it from being overwhelming. The food tasted wonderful. It was not spicy at all. The yogurt was very good and refreshing. The amount of food was also really good. The food was not dry. You could tell the chicken and everything was made fresh and hadn't been sitting all day. I can't wait to go back and try something new.

Came here one afternoon to try them out at the Food Hall. Like most restaurants in the Pizitz, they operate in a fast casual system. The man that took my order was extremely nice and helpful. I decided on the Kati Roll with chicken and tikka masala sauce. It comes with rice and raita. The sandwich was really good, but could have used a bit more sauce. The rice didn't have too much flavor, but was a nice accompaniment to the meal. I also ordered a samosa that came with sweet, spicy, and herbal sauces. It was packed with deliciousness and the sauces provided an array of flavors. Overall, a great addition to the food hall to provide some Indian cuisine.

Finally, delicious Indian food. Samosa Chaat. Only $5. Sweet & savory appetizer at Pizitz food hall. Dare I say, "better than Taj India!?!?"

Authentic, fresh. Read the photo caption for review... Cannot believe the quality and quantity for the price. Rarely when impressed, I'll give a 5 star review.

It's a deal. And the food itself, you can eat a lot of without feeling gross and nasty like with other, greasier foods. The staff is on top of it. They bring you water and naan to your table, keep tabs on you, and always have a smile. Especially Fatima :). I've tried replicating a dal at my house, and I can't do it. I don't have the touch. But lentil dal here, the saag (spinach) paneer, and the yellow veggies they always have at the buffet (I think it's korma) are my favorites. I came last night for their Birmingham Restaurant Week deal, which was $14 for a full meal: appetizer, entree, and dessert! The appetizers for the full dinner meals come out like sizzling fajitas, my favorite of the meats we had was the lamb. My mom's entree came with a smiley face :). The place itself is pretty casual, with Indian decor and always a little incense burning by the door. They have a full bar, beer, and wine, but my mom swears that diet coke was made to be paired with Indian food. Taj India is a must try in Birmingham, and the buffet is the perfect place to explore Indian food!

Their Uber Eats page is well-formatted, with all menu items listed, accompanied by descriptions and pictures of most items. My only issue with their menu on the app is that the descriptions were not very clear about whether an item came with rice or if it had to be ordered on the side. My order arrived quickly and came in a large brown paper bag. I chose the butter chicken, and it came with basmati rice. They were packaged separately, with the chicken and sauce in a large plastic container and the white rice in a small styrofoam box. I like that they separated the two to let the customer have control over the chicken-to-rice ratio. Plastic cutlery was provided as well. My food was still hot when it arrived and was full of flavor. It tasted like a very good homemade meal instead of something made with low-quality ingredients and little effort put into it. The sauce on the chicken was very creamy and absolutely delicious! The serving size left me plenty of leftovers, and I was very satisfied.

The staff is friendly and the food usually comes out very quickly, whether I'm dining in or picking it up. My go to order is the chicken korma with butter naan, and it is honestly one of my favorite meals. The chicken korma is creamy, flavorful, and pairs perfectly with the naan. They also give a very generous portion of rice, which I always appreciate because it makes the meal even more filling! The only small downside is that parking can sometimes be difficult, but I usually end up finding street parking nearby. I recommend this spot for a warm, comfort meal!

While we waited we looked around, a somewhat fun/odd juxtaposition of a pink tree and white phone booth with American and British cartoons on the two TVs I could see. The food was almost entirely excellent, we ordered different curry sauces and mostly white rice, and all but the butter curry were excellent, with some nice spice and a lot of flavor. The butter curry was liked by a few of us, myself I thought it lacked flavor and spice. The chicken curry was my favorite. I also prefer Manchurian Rice which was supposed to be high on the spice Meyer but only had a slightly spicy kick. I still enjoyed it more than the white rice. Eating the dishes tapas style was a lot of fun, mixing six or seven curries on white rice, spicy rice, noodles and nan bread ordered for an appetizer, it was quite pleasant, even though I quickly lost track of which curry was which. So many of them were so flavorful that I just enjoyed the ride. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, and the dishes, starting with appetizers, came out fairly quickly, well cooked and ample portions. One of us got a beryani dish, it was so big and intimidating that I didn't tackle it but the presentation was fun. A whole poached egg was delivered with it, I kind of think it could have been quartered and perhaps spiced up a bit - imagine deviled egg curry style! (Hint hint Hyderabad). Don't hesitate to visit, it's a cheerful, spicy spot for a great meal.

My favorite appetizers are the Chicken 65 and the Vegetarian Samosas. The Chicken 65 consists of bite-sized pieces of chicken breast that are fried and then tossed in a spicy sauce. It's served with chopped red onion and a cilantro garnish, making it perfect for sharing at the table. The Vegetarian Samosas are deep-fried pastries filled with green peas, potatoes, and Indian spices, with a noticeable curry flavor. They're served with a brown, tamarind-based dipping sauce that pairs perfectly with the filling. One entrée we love sharing is the dosa. A dosa is a lightly fried crepe, and there are about a dozen variations, each with different fillings and spice combinations. The dosas are served with several sides for dipping or eating with pieces of the crepe. The Tandoori Chicken Tikka Kebab is another favorite. The chicken is marinated, baked in a clay oven, and brought out steaming hot on a sizzling platter. In addition to the dishes mentioned, Bawarchi offers many other classic Indian favorites. One word of warning: if you order spicy, they mean it--the heat level can definitely light you up!
