Made a telehealth appointment for 4pm, waited 25 minutes for Dr. Parvez to show up. She tells me to call the receptionist and the receptionist has the audacity to say I was the one who was late for the appointment and were going to charge me a $300 dollar deductible (unreasonably high), and was incredibly rude and snappy when I told them that the doctor was the one who never showed up and I would not be paying for anything. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

The person who answers the phones was incredibly nice and helpful, as well as quick to respond to any questions I had. She scheduled me to speak with Dr. Sherin Parvez. Got into the video call lobby a few minutes early and saw that she had jumped into two other calls before getting to me. Granted, the last psychiatrist I had was usually on time and if they were running late they would send me a message as a heads up. I understand that when it comes to physicians that appointments will run over, and I was trying to be aware of her time when I messaged her asking if it would be more convenient for her if I rescheduled the appointment. Fifteen minutes after the scheduled appointment she starts the call, asks me for my name pronunciation, then immediately proceeds to berate me for being impatient. She goes on and on about how she's had to wait over an hour to see her physicians and that if I'm going to act the way I am that I should seek out another physician. I'm not sure how I gave the impression that I was being impatient, I only sent a few messages, one saying that I was excited to meet her, one where I answered a question she asked about what time my appointment was, and the third asking if now was a bad time for her. But she stated that it was wrong for me to blow up her messages when she's trying to see other patients? I'm more shocked than anything, to be honest. I get that being a physician is stressful and she has multiple clients, but for her to hop onto the call and start borderline yelling at me about my conduct was completely unprofessional, and considering that she's supposed to be a psychiatrist, a specialist practicing in MENTAL health... I don't know what else to say. In the end I said I'd reschedule and left the call but I don't think I'll be calling back. read more

The most unprofessional office I have ever experienced, I filled out all the paperwork and never heard anything from anyone, I had to keep reaching out only to be told the Dr. needs to review my forms, granted but for it to take over 5 days and then to send me an email that was NOT relevant to what I needed, it's really quite upsetting to know that these people are supposed to be professionals and when you really need Phychitriac care you would hope they would be professional and caring but that is not the case here, It has been unbelievably rude and unprofessional. read more

This was the worst experience I have had, not only for a medical office, but probably the most of any interactions I have ever had (seems impossible, but just wait). First, I tried calling to make a new patient appointment. I received voicemail, and left a detailed message. No call was returned after two days, so I called again and got the information on how to be a new patient. I got scheduled for a Tuesday at 4:30 PM. I was anticipating a call on Tuesday to check in because of telemedicine, and due to being in virtual classes, I had to let it ring and go to voicemail. Instead of leaving me a message, the receptionist called my emergency contact (who lives in MICHIGAN), and then immediately after my emergency contact called me stating the receptionist had asked for me. Well, that's just the start. After calling back, they told me I had to be pushed back until 4:30 the next day. After asking if there was any workaround, they left me with options of taking the appointment, or having one at 5:30 the next day. I had to take the 4:30 appointment and cancel what I had intended to do the following day (therapy). After finally being the following day, I received another call stating my insurance was not correct. I provided them the number again, suddenly it worked. Then they let me know my appointment was at 4, not 4:30. I wait until 4 PM, receive no call. I call the receptionist yet again, who tells me the doctor tried to call me twice, but couldn't reach me so they went to the next patient. The receptionist accused me of having a call blocking application (which I don't, even if I did, it does not block private numbers, EVEN IF IT IS HIDDEN CALLER ID). She said the doctor left me a message, which they did not. At this point, it's 4:40, my appointment was at 4, or so they say, and I am pretty angry. Upon explaining to the receptionist I have an exam due tonight, rather angrily after zero returned voicemails, zero communication, and zero respect, she blows up on me. Tells me I am nothing but rude, they are trying to help, and that they are just going to refund all my money and cancel the appointment. The woman, Shirley, literally blackmailed me, to which I backed off (I really, really needed this appointment). Thankfully I was able to find another provider and get another appointment today. Find someone else. These people are rude, inexperienced, and frankly don't care about what you need, or how you feel. Save yourself a week of time chasing these people down just to get an appointment. You are at the complete mercy of this provider. read more

The first time I went was my first time seeing a psychiatrist. My appointment was at 3pm but I came at 2:30 to fill out paperwork like they requested. I did not get called back until 3:45pm. Once I did, the Dr did not introduce herself and did not say my name or ask how I was. She did not have my paperwork and proceeded to ask me the same questions about my family history over and over because I told her I didn't know of any relevant family medical history. After 10 minutes she prescribed me some medicine, told me nothing about it and said come back in 2 weeks. As I walked out I saw she was texting on her Mac during my appointment. I told the receptionist I was told to come back in 2 weeks and she told me the Dr is ok vacation so I can come back in a month. The next day I called the office to get more information on the medication and the receptionist was very rude and said I can make an appointment and pay or the dr will not talk to me. After a month I did come back for my follow up. The receptionist was very rude and cold. I went back to see the Dr and she could not look at me while talking. She kept looking at the mirror behind me. She asked me about my history again and did not have my chart near her. She wrote notes on a piece of paper that already had other notes form other patients on the paper. She then asked me how I felt and gave me some examples of what to say. She said some people say "I do not want to go on living" and she smiled and giggled when she said this. I'm not sure why this is amusing. This whole appointment lasted 8 minutes. She don't even ask how the medication was, she just gave me more. This "doctor" is extremely rude and unprofessional. I do not know how she is allowed to practice. read more

The receptionist is the rudest woman I've ever experienced in a doctor's office. Setting my appointment was incredibly frustrating, they have two different offices and its unclear online what number is for what office, I couldn't get them to call me back. Dr. Parvez made me feel like an addict, asked leading questions, paid no attention to the answers I gave - she knew she wanted to prescribe me the most expensive medicine and paid no attention to my medical history and what had been working for me for YEARS. Without insurance and the first consultation being so expensive, I stuck with her for a bit, but its not worth it anymore and advise you going somewhere else. read more

To think I nearly went here twice. I saw Dr. Sherin Parvez only a few days ago now and after some discussion with a trusted loved one, I've decided to not go back. Immediately, I got the sense something wasn't quite right. Sure, the office space looks decent - a bit vacant, but nothing too uncanny. Where I was seated, I could see what looked to be a mirror on in the wall, just below the flatscreen tv showing no doubt Google Image searched beach pictures. But my first red flag was the receptionist. Now I understand that sitting behind a desk for multiple hours a day isn't the most thrilling job, but Jesus, man, show something of warmth when you're dealing with your customers. Both when I signed in and signed out, she always seemed to want to rush me and kept her responses short. And when I couldn't bring my work schedule up, instead of just waiting for it to load while taking care of the one other guy at the window, she kept that rushing mindset up and just told us to call later. In hindsight though, thank god for that. Perhaps that's a positive I can give her. She kept me from coming back. The wait time was a little odd. I'm used to waiting a bit at any therapist's or psychiatrist's office. It takes time and the customer needs to finish, I get it. Still, it didn't help my anxiety. When I did get back into Dr. Parvez's office, it already felt cramped. A leather couch was pushed against the wall opposite her modern art museum like desk, resting just below... a mirror. I took a seat and began to talk with her. We discussed my anxiety, my depression... or more, I TRIED to, but it was difficult to feel confident what with her constant interruptions of "Okay, I got it" and her consistent "Mhm"ings. It's also probably never a good sign when the psychiatrist has to pull out their tissues instead of having them at the ready. People are going to be emotional when talking about their problems, Sherin. Have them next to your pen-impaled diamond, or just there in the first place. And also don't remove the tissues when the session isn't even over yet. You'll just look foolish if the patient starts getting emotional again, as well as completely lacking in any form of empathy. I sat through about forty minutes of her showing off her doctoral skills, listing off multiple psychiatrists when I was trying to say I went to a therapist, only to have her amusedly correct me when I awkwardly tried to explain who it was, as well as her listing off drugs she could prescribe me and the pills I had taken previously. You may have a medical degree, Dr. Parvez, but I don't. I'm eighteen and still trying to figure out how to balance a budget. If I cannot pronounce or remember the name of a five syllable anti-depressant right off the top of my head, I expect understanding, not blind listings. Around the end of my visit, as I heavily debated with myself the risks and rewards of taking Prozac -- as I tried to explain to her how my previous and first encounter with drugs, with the antidepressant Zoloft, really messed me up, not that she could probably bother to listen -- and while she heavily pressed upon me how she "has a medical degree" and "highly recommended I take it" because of "how I thought" and I guess my body movements, I noticed, in the mirror above me, the red light of an exit sign... the one outside in the waiting room. As someone who has read too many horror books, listened to too many of Reddit's short real-life horror stories on YouTube, and seen a few horror movies, I instantly got an eerie image of Dr. Parvez watching me and possibly other patients through her little one way window while they sat waiting. At the end of it, with her badgering for me to take the medication and knowing I had little choice in the matter in reality, I took the prescription for the Prozac. I currently started my 10mg daily pill cycle tonight, and I guess we'll see how this goes. Thanks for reading my experience in the almost Twin Peaks-like office. I have never felt like I have wasted money so much in my life. After 30 min in my FIRST appointment with her she wanted to put me on 3 more pills, none of which are related to my diagnosis. After having never seen my face and thirty minutes of talking to a complete stranger over the phone, not video chat, she wants to change my diagnosis and change course of treatment dramatically. My psychiatrist in Kansas City was a colleague and mentor for Dr. Sherin Parvez and started me on my journey to find a better quality of life with my disorders. When I moved to the Orlando area I thought Silver Lining Psychiatry would be a good fit. What I like best about Dr Parvez is she goes 'by the book', and always starts with the minimum dose. She also tries to stick to non habit forming meds as much as possible. When I was desperately looking for a replacement for my psychiatrist (I had switched insurance) and Silver Linings Psychiatry was able to see me and bring me on as a new patient. Dr Parvez was great, although because I live on the East side of town, I only saw her for one visit, albeit a very productive visit. Since then, I've been seeing Dr Saleh Parvez and it has changed my life for the better, no doubt. I'm very happy I found Silver Linings Psychiatry! My husband has been fine for years... we moved and all he needed was a doctor to prescribe his meds. Well... she changed his meds and messed him up big time. All she seems to care about is money. The receptionist doesn't smile, say hello....just takes your copay and shuts the glass door in your face. The place smells like a funeral home. When I first met the Dr. she tried to bad mouth the doctor my child previously went to. I really didn't care for her attitude. She was very cold, not personable at all. I had trouble getting scheduled for a psychiatrist in my area (near Gainesville), so I found this clinic and was able to get an appointment. I started coming here just prior to the COVID-19 crisis in person, then continued over the phone after. I found the Dr. courteous, attentive to my needs and succinct. The appointments were just what I needed and I have been satisfied so far. I would recommend this clinic. read more

RANT ! To begin with my first few visits I had to call 5 plus times to get in on a emergency refill. Dr Sherin is anything but kind she seems to not understand all patients are different so I decided to bring my mom thinking maybe it was just her rubbing my mom wrong. I lost my best friend this past Saturday and wanted to go on my meds to be able to deal with my anxiety hence I was taking when I started there, we got in the day after, she had NO sympathy for me at all my mom tried to speak Dr sherin then raised her voice knowing everything I was going through and made me have a panic attack due to Dr Sherin acting totally uncalled for. We will NEVER be back. She's so heartless we never even spoke rudely back and by the way after researching the laws she stated she knew are not true! Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to be even more bothered with. She DID write the meds because by law she couldn't let me go as upset as I was. I took them to be filled and guess what she filled out the perception wrong. I lost my maid of honor 3 months before my wedding my best friend doctors like her are supposed to help not make things worse. If I could give Parvez no stars I would...To start - It's obvious that her receptionsist isn't living the life she hoped for...Her rudeness only revealed who she is not who I am...As far as Parvez goes - she knows ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING ABOUT ADHD...She didn't even know who Doctor Amen is, she doesn't know there are 7 types of ADHD and she diagnosed me in 12 minutes....LOL...after her 12 min very rushed diagnoses, she tells me she's changing my meds around that have helped me tremendously to stay calm and focus on my job, family...etc..She actually wanted to take that away from me after I filled out (at this point I just circled whatever because I knew she knows nothing about ADHD, LD, Anxiety..nothing). I have a full complete 8 day diagnosis from a Neurologist in NY that she refused to review. I have a full diagnosis from Dr Amen who is the best of the best and anyone that I know that has ADHD and wants to better their lives if they haven't been diagnosed by him.....they know of him and have been to his website. She has never heard of Chadd, Attitude or any other on or offline community where ADHDers can meet like-minded people and share their stories. I just moved NY to Orlando. Parvez wasn't referred to me which was my mistake and I take full responsibility for that....I picked her because ADHD is listed as her speciality. Are you listening or seeing this Dr. Amen?? A 12 minute diagnoses works...right Dr. Amen? This Parvez is interested in her "couldn't care less" secretary collecting your money and she Parvez who knows NOTHING...I MEAN ZERO about adhd will diagnose you OVER Amen's diagnosis by googling 8 questions on the internet. If your child has ADHD and/or LD Run away from this Doctor. My girlfriend might have autism. We sought this place because it was close by, inexpensive, accepted our insurance, and specialized in autism. The psychiatrist we went to see said she qualified under the questions she asked her, but asked why she even wanted to know. Her tone implied that knowing was pointless. We misunderstood when we were supposed to be there, and the first thing she told us was we were late and she had other patients. She was dismissive toward any attempt I made to clarify my gf's answers. In the end, she told us to talk to our therapist. And this was well after she charged us $140. Never going back. read more

Since starting to see her for a few months now, she has never returned my calls or my emails and instead hides behind her receptionist to do her dirty work, she has repeatedly denied refills on prescription medication that I have taken for 20 years now and she holds me hostage until I make an appointment with her every time my prescription runs out. Sharin Parvis has proven that she really is not interested in her patients well being, but instead runs a greedy business. I have never had a worse experience with a Doctor. This is the 3rd time she has denied a refill on a prescription that I must take daily or suffer serious side effects if I stopped suddenly taking it. Honestly, I don't even know how she is still in business, caring and nurturing for people, with the type of work ethic she demonstrates. I lost my job because my panic attacks went untreated despite multiple pleas with her for anything to alleviate the panic and constant anxiety after memories of childhood trauma had resurfaced, causing my life to rocket in a downward spiral. You lost a patient. unforeseen events. I never rescheduled, or missed an appointment with my son. Today my son had an appointment with the dra Sherin Pervez, it was all right to go, but I had a car accident. My car is not walking. I called the consultant, who never answers the calls, I left a message explaining what had happened. 20 minutes later a very rude and rude woman called me and said she would charge us $ 40.00 for clearing the appointment. I tried to explain to her that I did not know they were going to hit my car, and consequently that I could not take my son to the practice. the woman, very rude, turned off the call, without letting me finish speaking, and charged me $ 40.00 on my card, even without my authorization. Dr Sherin Parvez lost a patient. My son has already been treated with it for 4 months, I pay 100.00 every month. I did not expect this attitude from the doctor's office, and I do not think it's right for the person to disconnect the phone in the middle of the call without letting me finish speaking. I tried calling several times later and they did not answer any more calls. It's not that kind of doctor I want to take care of my son's. I do not recommend!! read more

Do not waste your time. Dr Parvez is the equivalent to a narcotic pill mill doctor. I needed someone who both accepted our insurance AND had an opening for an appointment that was not months and months away. I thought I lucked out with Dr Parvez - WRONG. I took a family member there who was struggling with depression and thoughts of self harm, and she spent less than 10 minutes with him before stopping him to say, "I only prescribe medication. I do not do talk therapy. You need to see someone else for that." Then she handed us a list of counselors to call. He was already on medication from his primary care provider. Isn't a psychiatrist supposed to HELP people? She did nothing except take our money. She strong armed us into making a follow up appointment, but after speaking to our primary care doctor today (who was also outraged at Dr Parvez's behavior) we cancelled that appointment and found someone else. First off, I'm still a teenager and have problems with major depression, anxiety, and hallucinations. Not only do I dislike the fact that she doesn't seem to care about my concerns, she even went to the point of asking me "what I had on my face" when I wore makeup. I'm a little shocking to look at sometimes being more alternative goth, and she just looked me in the eye and asked me what was wrong with me. I had nothing wrong with me, she just kept persistently asking me what I was doing and why I look like this. My medications have been fine, but she never did anything other than up the dosage. I had been on these medications for a while, she never really did anything to change them in the year and a half I've been seeing her. Overall, I dread going to my appointments just for her to look me in the face and ask me if I'm mentally ok just because of my looks. In the end, I'm still looking for a different psychiatrist; people don't usually want to take me because I'm younger. I'm just really made uncomfortable by her and I'm reevaluating my choices in a psychiatrist. read more

Took my 12 year old daughter to this office due to recent behavior changes. I remained in room while Dr. Parvez asked her a series of yes/no questions. Within 5 minutes she had my daughter completely diagnosed and prescribed meds. It felt like we were completely routine to her & basically "shooed" us off. We were there a total of 15 minutes. This was our first time going to such a place and expected more empathy & care. To make matters worse, it has been a nightmare obtaining a report for school, much less ourselves the parents. After obtaining a 3 sentence "evaluation report" for school, it was signed, Front Desk. I've had to return to her office several times because of this. Furthermore, she charges $75 (aside from the visit fee) for this miserable report where she doesn't even sign her credentials. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
