The staff knew him so well that they could tell when something was off before anyone else could. They noticed changes in his mood, his energy, even when his oxygen levels seemed low or he just needed connection or support. More than once, they reached out to me simply because they knew my dad. That level of attentiveness and humanity cannot be taught. It comes from people who truly care. My dad participated in everything he possibly could; bingo, karaoke, bowling, crafts, physical therapy, social events and Walnut House gave him community, dignity, purpose, and joy during a stage of life that can otherwise feel very isolating for seniors. Honestly, he got more out of the daily encouragement and movement from the Walnut House activities and staff than he did from many outside services. Over the years, we also watched the facility continue to improve, renovate, and invest in the residents and environment, which we deeply appreciated. What meant the most to our family, though, was how much they loved my father through the very end of his life. After he passed, Walnut House helped host a memorial so that both staff and the friends he made there could say goodbye to him together. It was incredibly beautiful and something our family will never forget. Thank you to everyone at Walnut House for treating my father like family. We will carry that gratitude forever.

From the first moment I stepped inside Walnut House, I knew it was the perfect fit for my mom because like my mom, everyone there was warm and welcoming. There was nothing institutional or depressing about the place, but an environment with caregivers and guests who seemed to be genuinely happy to be there. My mom was only there a few days when she declared she had found her "forever home." Our family found communication with Walnut House to be excellent. At last, we could sleep peacefully knowing our mom would be safe at night. We expected that, but what we didn't expect was the incredible camaraderie, love, and peace that Walnut House provided during her stay--especially during her final days. Our family will be forever grateful.

The one thing that stood out for him and our family was the relationships that were formed with all levels of staff. Our father referred to Oakmont as his family. Our father spend the last 9 months of his life at Oakmont. Each day was different with many things that were offered and available to him. He took the bus tours, he played (and a force to be reckoned with) Bingo. He started a putting club and got people interested in putting around on a green. He enjoyed the entertainment that came in regularly for "sing song" as he like to say. And he really enjoyed the themed holiday decorations that came out. He felt a part of. The care staff did a fabulous job keeping him informed and with any kind of assistance. When he had a question they were eager to help. Everyone knew his name and he appreciated being recognized and talked to like a friend or family member. Anything he needed was taken care of. Any questions that came up, the staff communicated with our family and were also available to answer any of our questions. The Chef and Dining experience. Oakmont of Fair Oaks did not serve "restaurant" food each day. They served gourmet meals that were very delicious. The staff formed relationships with our father and he came to have a standing order, "the usual". For the holidays we as his family were invited in to share in holiday celebrations. If you appreciate direct and open communication with your questions answered or additional clarification needed from the family. And you value the forming of relationships, personal relationships, Oakmont of Fair Oaks did both of those with our father and my brother and I. My father felt as though he was at home and could spend the remaining months of his life with people who cared about him.

Unfortunately, my mom ended up in the ER with a 12x4 bruise on her lateral upper chest, a C1-2 and 2nd rib fracture WITHOUT falling and prior to that she "fell" or got pushed (depending on which staff you ask) requiring hip fracture surgery only 2 weeks after moving in. Not exactly evidence of a safe place. As an RN, and daughter it's hard to see a parent go through this let alone the stress on her and me thru this situation. Oh and a few things of hers I bought since becoming bed/chair ridden there were missing. So the facility is still nice looking and smells decent, and some of the staff are nice, but...

The administrator was rude and we felt never addressed concerns. We found a beautiful place for less than this place charges and there was activities and options s for socializing there. The staff has been awesome! I still have zero complaints. I want to give thanks to the new administrator, Toni Jones for making some positive changes. One of the changes made was the parking situation. I work around the corner, and I see my mom every day on my break. In the past I would drive around trying to find a place to park and it would take up some of the time that I could be spending with my mom. Not anymore! The change that was made is the staff park elsewhere. Now visitors can find parking. Parking is no longer an issue. On 5/24, Toni had arranged a "pink and purple candlelight dinner" for the residents and their family members. It was amazing! The food was so good I had thought it was catered in. The dinner was made from their main kitchen. A lot of smiles that evening. What a thoughtful/meaningful event for the residence and their family. Attached are some pictures.

Unfortunately, my parents spent many painful years living in sad, unsafe & neglectful facilities…read morenearby. After my father's death, I struggled to find a safer home for my mother. Right when it seemed impossible, a few in home support nurses recommended Gramercy Court, saying it is the home to their happiest & best cared for patients. By the grace of god, as soon as I inquired, a room became available for my mother. In disbelief we moved her into a lovely, private room with her own bathroom. She instantly made new friends with both residents & staff. She'd text me all day about the excellent food & would video call me every night smiling, in tears over how much she felt cared for. Admin Toni Jones is warm, present, supportive and professional at every turn, and has truly created a home like environment at Gramercy Court with the highest standard of care. A big thank you to her staff, especially head nurse Joanne, who love & advocate for residents like they are family. Gramercy Court has been a safe haven for my mother & one of the biggest blessings of our lives! My family and I highly recommend.

I asked her how she liked it, and she graciously shared her experience. She mentioned that her dad has been living there for almost a year, and although she lives out of state, she has been able to receive updates, which puts her mind at ease since their family moved him in. Although my mom was never able to move in (she passed away in the hospital), I knew this would have been the perfect place for her. When Daniel found out about my mom's passing, he sent flowers to my family. He truly cares, and I appreciate how involved his family is. During my tour, I was offered a plate of fresh fruit and encouraged to enjoy tea with the family. It's the little details that matter to me. The residents there are super nice and we talked to each of them to make sure they enjoyed being there and they definitely did. The place is clean, new and current and the staff is so friendly, professional and responsive. The food is homemade, fresh everyday. This is a family owned well run business and it's apparent that the owner and his family cares for the residents. My Mom already told me multiple times how different family owners spent time with her just talking with her. To me that's above and beyond the call of duty, and she loves it there.
