The first two contractors were what I would refer to as typical. The brawly type that come in their huge pick up trucks and really don't spend much time explaining their process. They basically look at painting as "every jobs the same" in fact I am quoting one of them. I had no feelings either way about who to hire of the first two as both seemed at the least capable. My third appointment was set and I had a meeting with Pretty Handy Mandy .She pulled up to my home and much to my surprise, Mandy was very young. I guessed around 24 or 25 years old and I wasn't far off. She proceeded to explain her process of painting, the preparation, the priming of walls where necessary, etc; etc. She was so positive, energetic and refreshing in her attitude that I could not help but to believe in her. I don't mean to sound pessimistic but young people today are typically for the most part, lazy and non goal oriented at least the ones I personally know. This young lady was impressive to say the least, measuring and figuring like she had been doing it for 50 years. I was really surprised as I never imagined upon first glance that she would be so professional. She showed me a photo album of her accomplishments and offered me a list of references, what more did I need. Well the best was yet to come. Mandy did her figuring and offered me a competitive price for the entire job. I accepted and we set a date to begin. I can honestly say that from start to finish all of her focus was based on pleasing my wife and I. She had a great crew of professional painters and they all had the same interest in pleasing us and doing the job right. This was no small job, inside walls, ceilings, crown moldings, base boards, doors, jams and outside the entire house pressure cleaned, painted and the staining of our patio area. Also some damage to one property that the homeowner ended up paying out of pocket. Because of this, we can only give 3 stars. However, the team who did the painting did a great job and we were pleased with the final result (even if it took 2 weeks longer than we expected). Would recommend getting in writing the time frame of your project, and if there is any damage, who is responsible.
