Called Silver Valley Propane ahead to confirm if I could fill my 5-gallon propane tank and was told yes. Drove over during normal business hours only to be told by office staff that the employee who handles propane was "busy" and couldn't help me. Wasted time and unnecessary gas because of inaccurate information. If propane service depends on staff availability, that should be communicated before customers drive out. I've never been on propane before so this was all new to me. I have a large tank and every time I call to get it filled they come right out. Last time they came I told the driver that I had been noticing a weird smell coming from underneath my gas stove ever since I moved in. He came right in and fixed it immediately, it was awesome! I also had him fill a few smaller propane tanks as well - super convenient not having to load those in my car and take them to the gas station. read more

After being out of propane for a long 3 day weekend, I was scheduled the fourth day Tuesday to be refilled. The driver refilled my neighbor in mistake of me, they said. Luckily I called asking why they hadn't come, in which I was told they did! I told the lady on the phone no I had not been refilled yet so after finally getting ahold of the driver he came to fill my tank. The right tank this time. I met him so I could pay for the tank to be filled all the way up. (They only fill it to the credit amount of $200 my tank takes $700 that's not much propane and I don't want to be left with out again. So after filling my tank full they wouldn't relight my house and connect the propane back up (since I wasn't going to freeze with my small children left without propane over a 3 day weekend we took it upon ourselves to hook up a small propane tank used for our bbq in the meantime. The driver told me he couldn't relight or connect my tank back up if he did it was an extra charge. I might not have picked a very good company and might need to switch. read more

I've always had good service from Silver Valley Propane until recently. There was a discrepancy in a bill....I came upon Marabel....she was most unprofessional and extremely rude. When I asked to speak to the manager I was sent to a line that just gave the ext. and said to leave a message. After a few days of not hearing I called back, talked to Shasta who gave me to Marabel.....my call was then picked up by someone, when asked his name he said Josh. He was very aggressive from the get go. He didn't act like a manager and when I questioned him he told me to 'buy my damn gas elsewhere' and hung up on me. I have been asking around and found that a man named Nathan is the manager. I would like to have an opportunity to speak with him as I'm sure Marabel is burying all her problems, as I've found out I'm not the only one to have a run in with her, and it will eventually ruin your business. That would be a shame, Larry started a family business that has been in the area a long time. I'm hoping to speak to Nathan or Larry about this. read more

Silver Valley Propane refused to replace a propane tank that has been on my property for twenty years. I am the third account holder at the address,with the same propane tank.The tank is very rusty. After I complained about faulty readings on the guage.Silver Valley propane confirmed the guage was sticking which was the cause of the incorrect readings.Instead of offering to replace the guage ,I was treated poorly and told that the tank was safe. I was using the guage to regularly monitor the propane tank for propane leaks.I do not feel safe with a sticking guage. read more
