We moved my father out after six months of being there. We paid the up charge for enhanced care. He was not given his medication at the times passed necessary. Parkinson's medication's need to be delivered in a very timely manner. This has ramifications on lucidity of the person. On more than one occasion when a family member was there, they were late with his medicine. Sometimes we had to request it after the time had passed. We purchased mattress pads in case of him, soiling his bed, and they never used them. They promised he would be taken out of his room, plenty and given activities to keep him busy. This happened rarely if ever. He was often sitting in his room with the TV blaring, wearing soiled undergarments. While he was in the hospital, we went to go retrieve his things, and the room had not been cleaned or touched. Dirty bedding was left on the floor and the room was a mess with the garbage can full. I almost forgot to mention that they lost most of his wardrobe in the laundry! Instead of someone running and getting him some pants from target or somewhere, they told us we needed to do it and then bring them by. I understand it was up to us to replace the entire Wardrobe and they would reimburse us, but that is ridiculous. The only thing I can say is that the place looks clean and is fancy like a four star hotel. The food is decent. I would not send a loved one here. Be prepared to pay River Oaks prices.. also be prepared for big promises with very few being kept. They are all about the sales pitch.

I visited Legacy Community Healthcare in Montrose twice for testing and eligibility (I am currently unemployed with zero income). After testing hiv negative the second time, I went downstairs to the Pharmacy at Legacy to see if I could get my Prep or a starter round of 10 pills. I was stopped at the reception desk and told that they do not do it that way here and I had to pay $20.00 to go into the pharmacy. I said that I did not have it since I have only $18.00 in my bank account . I was told to call Gilead pharmaceuticals myself to make sure everything had went through ok and that I would bereceiving my meds by FedEx or picking them up at a pharmacy near where I live For 2 weeks I have called Gilead myself and they have all of my previous records ,but, have received NO information from Legacy Healthcare in Montrose. Gilead has called Legacy with me on the line for a conference call and we continuously get answering machines to leave contact information and they will get back to us. It is going on one month and neither Gilead or I have received any calls from anyone at Legacy Healthcare in Montrose. However, I did receive a text message from Ambetter insurance billing saying that I owe $64.00+ . WHAT? It's been a month and no one has returned any calls to Gilead Pharmaceuticals or me and I have received absolutely NO Prep, and they want me to pay their bill? Gilead has sent me the enrollment form themselves and reached out again to Legacy HC Montrose and has received NO response. I went in to get help, and ultimately got none leading me to no choice but to go to an urgent care. NOT cool. Went in for testing for 2 times and they STILL did not run a UTI test regardless of all my textbook symptoms. The fact that they would be okay leaving a patient in total discomfort and treatment is beyond me.

Always taking my concerns seriously and coaching us through the stages of my wife's hard fought battle with end stage dementia all the way to the end. It was hard to do the heavy lifting in being a care giver for my girl, but they were with me every step of the way. I couldn't have done it without them!
