Seating around the perimeter makes for easy drink sharing/dancing as does the great sound system and cute lights for nighttime trips. And they have quite a large variety of whites, reds, and roses too. Cindy, one of the owners, is so very friendly and helpful. She will go through an entire tasting with you with the highest level of patience, allowing you to taste and try anything you'd like to. I love this. I enjoy planning my own winery snacks. I was bummed when many wineries quit allowing food because they opened kitchens. So if I have to pay $30+ for food. I'm buying less wine. This was actually our first winery on our wine-weekend. Tom is a wonderful host. He was able to tell us so much about each wine as we sampled all the wines. He really took his time to make sure we understood the process. He does a lot of blending grapes with other fruits to create unique wines. The fruits change the tartness and sweetness of a wine. My favorite wines were Kran Rose (I'm a big fan of cranberries), Rose of Traminette (spring, seasonal), Faithful Vintage, and Berry Blush. It happened to be my birthday when we were doing the tasting and Tom gave me a free bottle (afterall, we purchased three!). Also, Wenwood is known for the Pumpkin Wine. They'll teach you about each one too. If you like bourbons or whiskey, I'd highly recommend their Cream Sherry - it won 12th best American wine at the Decanter Wold Wine Competition (The world's largest and most influential wine competition) in recent years (just enjoy slowly - it's 19%!!). Also, they make their wines very affordable! From $11-$40, everything is in reach! (They do have a $75 reserve Norton on the list as of May 2026.) You can enjoy the restaurant on site, shop alllll the wine accessories, relax on their patio above the hills of vines, play a game of corn hole, and pose for a few photos. Several other couples who arrived around the same time were welcomed immediately, but we were left standing there without any acknowledgment. It was uncomfortable and made us feel overlooked in a way no quest should experience. I can't say why we were treated differently, but the contrast was hard to ignore. Because of the lack of attention, we ended up buying only a few bottles- even though we originally planned to purchase two full cases. We also chose not to buy anything from the stores afterward, which is unusual for us, but the experience at the beginning made it difficult to fully appreciate the visit. For a winery with such a strong reputation, I expected a much more welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. This was a one- star experience for us, and we won't be returning.
