I had to spend $4,000 to have fat removed from my butt because it had been moved to put in the hip. The hip was fine so I couldn't sue for malpractice. I tried communicating with the lead doctor to see if they could reimburse at least half of what I spent with no response. I looked deformed. I have a 7" scar that is about 1" wide. When I hear from other women that they have small imperceptible scar and I see that their profile is symmetrical I'm triggered. I chose the practice b/c my FIL has been seeing Dr. Waqaas A. Quraishi for ESIs for many years. During our first consultation, he spoke only to my husband while ignoring me. During that visit, I told him there was only one pain med I couldn't take because it made me so ill I couldn't eat, and it made me suicidal. After the first injection, I went to my CVS and found that he had prescribed that exact med. I called the office and was told there is no note about it in the file. He changed it to Gabapentin but was doling them out 14 at a time for me to take at bedtime. After the second injection, I called and left messages for Kathleen, his chirpy assistant who said, " Here's my direct line, call me anytime" for three days in a row. Crickets. On the fourth day, I called the receptionist and told her that if it was not taken care of immediately, I would show up in the waiting room and make a scene. Twenty minutes later, I got a call that it was done. When I found a new pain management doctor yesterday, he immediately diagnosed bursitis in my hip and offered to do the procedure then and there. I asked him about refilling my Gabapentin, he said, "Sure. Three times a day, right?" I was stunned that I could take it during the day as needed.

For example, several years ago she measured my feet for custom inserts to treat my plantar fasciitis. She carefully explained how to break them in: one hour on the first day, two hours the next, gradually increasing until I could wear them for at least eight hours a day. She also injected pain medication into my feet (ouch!) to provide temporary relief. Thanks to her care, I eventually fully recovered. I've also seen other podiatrists at this practice during emergency visits when Dr. Papathomas wasn't available. Like her, they are highly skilled and clearly explained their diagnoses. He's very good at honing in on the issues in your body and relieving them. I have bulged and mildly herniated discs in my cervical spine, and I am prone to severe headaches because of it. I look forward to Dr. Bergs adjustments because he's able to put me back the way I'm supposed to be lol. My headaches are much less often and less severe because of him. I like his adjustment so much that I travel from Queens to his office in Bethpage willingly. For me, he's absolutely worth it.

As I recently fractured my ankle (very slick of me, I know), I was on crutches. When I entered the waiting room there were wheel chairs waiting to be used! The clerk came around and helped me into a wheel chair despite my trying to protest lol. There is also a plethora of free snacks in a basket on the counter! Enjoy!
