It's Saturday afternoon 4/5/2025) after lunch we decided to try a brewery new to us set in an industrial park. First opinion was not positive as there are three doors with signs on them and a good amount of junk on the outside, so curb appeal was lacking. We went in, weren't greeted, but greeted the brewery-tender. He doesn't say anything really, doesn't welcome us, or offer to tell us about the brewery even though we share its our first time. The place is clean, with darts, and board games (in disrepair). The Rangers have just started playing, first period. I ordered a white wine, hubby a citra session ipa. Hubby thought the beer was great, however served with a 2" head so not as exciting. Quickly after arriving, a family arrived with a bunch of kids who treated the place as a McDonalds play space. No one said a thing as they ran crazy, throwing darts, and just being kids on a playground, yelling and screaming. Eventually, another group comes in, most likely owners as nothing was rang up, and kiddo was behind bar playing on POS system, but suddenly the bartender was friendlier, and the parents asked the kiddos to chill. This brewery can't grow with this experience to new customers. Dockside is only in their fifth year, they run like a well oiled machine. Plus side for this small brewery, it was clean, wine was not bottom barrel but a good choice, and hubby very much liked the beers. When we arrived, the bartender was watching the hockey game. The board games were all in disarray. I personally fixed most of them, because we were looking for something to challenge each other with besides drinking lol. Maybe in down times, fix things up. Overall, if not for the very rambunctious kiddos running and screaming, we would rate it a four. Today I can't. Six years in business and not growing, your beers are great, wine is better than most, but atmosphere is a playground. Another tip is to provide ice. Water provided is warm. Go check them out as beer and vino are good. read more

Milford Point Brewing is a craft brewery that opened in Milford, Connecticut in April 2018. It was founded by friends Chris Willett and Jerry Candido. The two are both Milford residents and originally met when both of their daughters played on the same softball team. Willett had been a fan of craft beer for some time and eventually started homebrewing. Candido had originally only drank macro brewery offerings like Bud Light, but soon converted to craft beer after trying Willett's homebrew. Willett began entering his beer into homebrew competitions and eventually beat out 40 other contestants at a contest in Stamford. Eventually Willett and Candido decided to join forces and open their own brick and mortar brewery: the first one to open in Milford which now has a growing craft beer scene. It is their mission to produce great-tasting quality beer for local beer drinkers. Most of their offerings are named after points of interest in Milford. I first visited Milford Point Brewing in March 2019. I devoted that day to trying out some new breweries in the area that I hadn't visited yet. Milford Point was my last stop of the day. They have a cozy taproom in a business park and most of the clientele seemed to be locals. I sat at the bar and ordered a flight of four which consisted of "06460" (Citra Session IPA), "Silver Sands" (IPA), "West Shore" (Double IPA), and "Settlers Stout" (Milk Stout). The Silver Sands IPA was my favorite of the flight and I purchased a four-pack of cans to take home. Milford Point makes a nice addition to the city's craft beer scene. read more

Might be a surprising suggestion but we just did our son's first birthday at Milford Point Brewing, and it was a huge success!!! Everywhere else wanted to charge a minimum for space and then a food and beverage minimum. They didn't charge us for the space, opened an hour early on a Saturday, let us put up all kinds of decor, and only charged us for fresh made pizzas, breads, and pretzels. We were allowed to bring in salads, soft drinks, and snacks/dessert, and we did a cash bar for beer/wine/seltzers. Since they don't get busy until the afternoon, we had the entire place to ourselves until 3pm. The staff is extremely nice, and Sal makes all the food on the premises. They'll even take the soft drinks you bought, put them behind the bar or keep them in the fridge, and serve them to guests. It was perfect for our family and friends who didn't drink, and those who did, and we got to enjoy the 1st birthday that we'll remember, but he won't. Highly suggest Milford Point Brewing; you will not be disappointed, and you won't break the bank. They also have an amazing selection of craft beers on tap; I'm not even an IPA fan, but I love all of theirs! Best part is that they have games of all kinds to entertain everyone, with darts, shuffleboard, etc. You can even bring dogs on a normal day there, and they do events. If you're looking for a nice down to earth vibe, genuine people, and a fun day/night in a group or with your loved one or with the family, this is where you should go! read more

I went on a meet up to Milford point brewing tonight. I did not realize that they did not have a menu but they do have pizza and pretzels. I enjoyed my beer very much and love the fact that they had small sizes. Which is what I ordered I had two of those and I actually ordered a pizza and had a couple slices and brought the rest home for my lunch for tomorrow had a great time tonight at Milford point brewing. read more

Not only a dog friendly brewery, but a great restaurant! I tried the new Bonfire IPA. It's a hit or miss for me with IPA's, but I was really pleased with this one. We ordered the Dry Rub Wings as an appetizer. They had an awesome texture and tasted sweet. Delicious! I had Street Corn for my meal. It came with fries and I added chicken. The dish is sweet but the jalapeños were a great compliment and added a nice kick! The portion was huge so I had enough to bring home as leftovers. Yay! My boyfriend had the Street Tacos with fish and a side salad. The tacos were seasoned nicely and the fish tasted fresh. There's outdoor seating which is a plus! The staff and other customers were very friendly. This is a great place to spend a summer day/night! read more

"I can really go for another!" Is what immediately comes to mind after I finish my Devon Wheat. It tastes great, and lends itself to another. And another. This small brewery has several things goig for it: Great beer, brewed by someone you can tell cares about what he does. Good atmosphere. Not huge, but a pretty nice bar and some tables. Darts, Ring Toss, shuffle puck, and a lot of board/card games. Dog friendly! For friendly dogs. Our Chewie was happy to say hi to everyone as we drank. Close to my house true, but also close to 95. If you are looking for a brewery with 20 different beers; this place wont appeal to you. Those places have there place, and I cant say I dont like some of those places, but I prefer this one over any of those. read more

The Milford Point brewing is a smaller size brewery/tap room that has 5-10 beers on tap at all times. The beers are average compared to the other breweries around (based on my taste preferences) but that wouldn't deter me from coming again. Note: they also serve wine and cider! I stopped into MPB a few weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon. The crowd was a bit older but everyone was friendly and it had a great atmosphere. Overall the brewery wasn't crowded and had a good seating options. I'm a huge fan of having activities at a brewery.. This place meets that requirement with shuffleboard, darts and hook game. read more

Great local brewery with a variety of beers. The bartender was a really friendly and knowledgeable guy. The deal with tasting is that you pick 4 x 5oz brews for $10. Some parking available and they have darts and other games/board games. Would definitely visit again. read more

Small brewery with limited selection of brews on draft. Beer wasn't anything special. Games were dispersed on tables. I'd give them two stars, but they get a third for live music during the day. Nice touch. An older crowd was hanging out, seemed they also may have known the owners or people working. Food truck was there. Small and tight parking lot. Beer here is decent. However, my visit was not great. The staff let one customer run the music, and he was clearly very tipsy, and played the same song repeatedly and way too loud ( initially the volume was fine). In general, while friendly, the staff was not attentive to us. My husband wanted to let them know why we were leaving, but could not even get the bartender's attention to do so. I won't be returning when there's so many great craft beer options in the state. read more

Small brewery that is opening a taproom in the next month or so. They will have more games and food trucks once that is added. I really enjoy their Silver Sands IPA, which is the most popular. The session 06460 citra IPA is also really good. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I'm looking forward to future visits. read more

Stopped by to check out this place as we live in Milford. Turns out so does the owner and he actually lives nearby us. The place is small for now but really expanding as he showed us the additional space currently being constructed. The place is dog-friendly and he let us sample all six of his beers. With the understanding that everyone has a different palate, we like about half of them and decided to get a growler of our favorite. The names are cute as they represent Milford CT and the artwork is legit. We will be back! read more
