He was a very thoughtful planner, always thinking of little things to make our designs better (ex: "What if we extended the wainscoting around the corner to carry the flow?" and "We should use a larger handle on this cabinet so that it doesn't put stress on the wood.") I knew I wanted him to fix the cap shingles on the peak and he quoted his rate for that work over the phone before he came.
