But the quote came quickly and was quite detailed. It included a good brand of the white EPDM I wanted. It was just as good or better than the quotes from some other bigger players. The price was much better too. So I hoped the no frills meant less overhead. I did check for reviews and they were good. So I decided to go with JM even though it was very hard to find much company presence on the internet. Communicating with Juan via text messages worked very well. I asked to add a plywood cover board and to help me locate the rafters and he was very accommodating. The team came out and Robin was in charge. He spoke English well enough to give me assurances they were going to do what I wanted. The biggest reason for replacing the membrane roof on my flat roof was to ready it for a solar panel installation, which I planned to do myself, if only I could get the 8 panels up on the roof. I'd asked Juan if the team could put the panels on the roof after the job was done. He was agreeable. Robin had the boys do it and did a good job of ensuring no damage to the new membrane by having them put an insulation board under them. My experience with Richard and crew was great at first, but of course that was when Richard was asking for payments when the job wasn't even 75% complete. When it came time to fix the issues that his crew caused to my home, he was nowhere to be found, he didn't even have the decency to come out and look at the issues. Richard even denied the problems that his team caused thru email and he didn't even call to discuss which is as unprofessional as it gets. The only time I saw Richard was when it was time to cut a check and that's it. His crew even bad mouthed him while doing the work. I'm also not the only customer that Richard's team has had issues with. Multiple neighbors have complained to me as well as the car wash in town who also was very unhappy with the work done by Goddard's. Do not hire him! He's full of it And the only reason why he gets one star is because in order for me to post this I have give it one. Such a shame for a very good paint job done to be ruined by stupid mistakes and complete utter unprofessionalism.

After 35+ years, we've noticed some of our wood sidings and windows sill were starting to have wood…read morerot due to weather wear and lack of maintenace (previous owners never re-painted for it's first 20 years). So we were looking for a company which both paint and do carpentry work to fix all the wood rot around the house and paint afterwards. Our contractor friend, Lenny Sims, recommended Rich Goddard. He gave us a reasonable price for fixing the wood around the house/deck and paint all of the exterior. We were expecting some patch work but his Guatemalan crew (he has multiple) was very professional and very hard working. They washed the house, scraped off the paint in bad areas to expose wood rot where we didn't even notice, actually replaced the wood in many places and not just use wood filling, and then beautifully painted the entire exterior including gutters, door, windows, etc. When they finished, everything was cleaned up nicely. It was beyond our expectations and worth the cost. Our contractor friend said they are not cheap but can't be cheap with good quality. Definitely recommend their work. Beautifully done.

Frank was a no show to give me an estimate, no communication that he was running late or unable to make it. He accommodated coming early one morning to give an estimate that seemed fair. Fast forward to when they were scheduled to do the work, 30 minutes past start time no sign of Frank's team and no communication. Contact the office find out that they won't make it today. My experience has been poor communication and unreliableness. Won't be giving them a chance to reschedule and waste anymore of my time. It was a small job so maybe not worth the effort to provide good customer service. Seeing the business's response adding this - I understand things happen and I am not expecting perfection by any means but a little bit of respect for my time and communication would have been nice.

Finally we were at the point where I could cover the studs and insulation and I am glad I didn't leave that in scope for my GC. I looked around a bit and found these guys. I don't have much to add that the other reviews haven't. Frank was communicative throughout the process from quote through execution and final invoicing. His crew got started right after we approved the work and they were onsite every day working to get the work done. He brought over a crew of like 4 or 5 guys who hung the drywall, mudded, sanded, primed and painted the ceiling of the 2 garage bays, enclosed stairwell and 500sqft bonus room with high ceiling, in like 5 days! If my GC would have been scoped to do this it would have been a 2 month process. Frank personally did a walk through with me after. Highly recommend.
