What a great experience! We spent two weeks in an RV from Meacham's and it was a blast!…read more By booking in advance and paying in full, there was a substantial discount. And, due to the pandemic, the owner (Andrew Meacham) gave us a better cancellation policy than normal. When we first arrived after a day in the park, everything was set up. The camper was clean - very clean. (Andrew even assisted in contacting Fort Wilderness to change our space to one we had requested and didn't receive). We brought many items that were supplied - so don't pack towels, toilet paper, paper towels - these are all provided. There were also coffee filters, but I'm not sure if these are always supplied. I would highly recommend getting a camper with an outside kitchen - we used ours extensively. Even on days when using the Disney grill having the kitchen made it easier to store paper towels, plates, utensils and food. Next time we'll probably go for the deluxe camper. Meacham's length of stay Golf Cart deal is well worth it too. (We also rented a fire pit, but didn't really use it). We had some minor issues over the course of two weeks which Andrew promptly addressed. As for the campsites, I'd recommend a Premium site over a Preferred as the site is bigger and there is more privacy. Staying in an RV saves A LOT of $$ on food. We started our trip at POP Century and might have spent more on eating out in two days there than we did at two weeks in the camper. We cooked most of our meals, or prepared meals to bring to the parks. Fort Wilderness has a lot to offer. We visit Disney yearly and usually spend a day or two there. Having two full weeks really added to the enjoyment. Biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing (we brought our own rods), swimming, horseback riding and more. Some activities that we've done in the past were not available due to the pandemic (motor boat rentals, the campfire program, wagon rides), but there's still lots to do. We did notice a significant increase in occupancy on weekends with many locals visiting. This did put a strain on the pools. Pools were nearly empty midweek. I highly recommend a stay in an RV at Fort Wilderness - and Meacham's is the way to go!
