On Friday July 31 'Simlo on Wheels' food truck came to my job in Fayetteville. I stood in the hot sun in line to place my order. I waited very long but when finally receiving my order I did not get what I ordered. I paid $16.99 for a roti goat entree and did not receive the goat nor potatoes inside the bread. I called the restaurant and received no answer, due to voicemail not being set up yet. I am very disappointed in this experience as I was referred to try this place from another colleague. The food was great. I got 2 Beef Patties and the Jerk Chicken Rasta Pasta. The Beef Patties were cooked prefectly and were fresh. The Jerk Chicken Rasta Pasta was full of flavor and tender. They give a BIG portion also. It was enough food for me to eat 1/3 at the restaraunt and I ate the rest for dinner and some a breakfast the next day. It also has great reheat value. My husband had the oxtail (for 2 meals in a row - it was just that much food); I had curried goat (good thing I only had 10 fingers cuz I was licking every one of them); and my daughter had stewed chicken. I didn't hear a word from her when she was eating. She had two meals also. Their food is amazing. Be ready to wait because it's made to order. People are waiting but no one seemed impatient. I think one gentleman that ordered couldn't wait to get home - he sat down to eat part of his meal before he left. If we didn't have hungry grown folk at home waiting, we would've done the same. The Jamaican/ Caribbean food scene has never impressed me here in Fayetteville. I actually stray away because it just hasn't been good. This is by far the best in Fayetteville. Nice clean space with minimal seating. The music definitely threw me off. Not sure if it is always like this but the vibe was very 90s Pop, think Backstreet Boys. The food took about 15 mins to come out. The food was great. The curry chicken patty was hot n ready. Ordered the oxtails with rice n beans n cabbage, stew chicken and curry chicken with white rice. All the meats were great! The rice and beans were on the sweet side. Not my favorite and would recommend the white rice. The cabbage was good and a lil spicy. Very tasty. Jerk was not too spicy. It has a slightly milder heat than what usual jerk has. The stew chicken was also very flavorful. Both dishes the meat was tender. I did request extra sauce on my rice and peas but i did not get that. But the rice was still very fluffy and yummy. And where my plantains? No plantains with meal? And that juice. Stopped by today for a late lunch... Decided to try the Brown Stew Red Snapper with a double serving of cabbage as my sides. Not doing carbs so didn't want the rice...The fish was flavorful and seasoned to perfection. However, I could tell the snapper was not freshly cooked... Pretty much heated up one time too many. The cabbage was delicious as always. Just an observation for the restaurant cook; you'll need to closely monitor the red snapper and eventually get rid of it if you don't sell within a reasonable time after the fish has been fried/reheated and stewed in the Brown Stew sauce. The snapper is not cheap as you know so no reason to serve it when not at its best! read more

My boyfriend got the medium half and half jerk chicken&curry chicken with rice and plantains (I tried some of his chicken and it was soo delicious as someone who doesn't even eat chicken like that, not dry and has a ton of flavor) I also went within an hour after they opened too.
