The food looks good but it has no flavor , the rice has no flavor at all . The oxtails barley have any meat on it it's pure fat . And the cabbage taste like it's been in seafood I wouldn't try again . The gravy is also so much oil.

I am from St Lucia in the Caribbean's and so I think because of that I can definitely tell what is great Caribbean food. My usual is oxtail, rice and peas, cabbage, and fried plantain ( although they are almost always out of plantains). It is always hot, seasoned well, and until the last couple of months a good serving portion. They have now downsized the portions but the price remains. I have also tried their roti; both chicken and shrimp. It's very meaty and full. The wrap is a little thicker than I prefer but it is still very good. The one thing I have an iss with is on the weekends the don't always open their doors at the time they have posted. And this have been on at least 5 occasions that is why I am mentioning it.

Consistency is the word to describe this place. I get the oxtails or jerk chicken and I haven't been disappointed yet.

Curry goat and ginger beer here is pretty legit. Strip mall seemed a little sketchy if you're going late at night. Worth a try.

A Trinidadian /Guyanese answer to a burrito. While this didn't exactly duplicate that experience (meat wasn't boneless & not exactly a burrito) , we all LOVED our meal. Dhal Puri enveloped moist curry chicken. While ambiance is sparse, the star of the show is the food. Second runner up - The hubby wife duo were wonderful. If I had to critique anything, perhaps the cabbage was a hair too salty and veered a tad bit too crisp. However, the company, & the service was top tier. Lastly, the Caribbean diaspora is wonderful. Many of us are only familiar with 1-2 flavor profiles. Go with an open mind. Trinadian-Caribbean: 4.5

I came in search of the cuisine of Trinidad and Tobago, a distinctive mix of Caribbean and Indian flavors. It was a pure takeout with not much to offer inside and it was a reasonably nice day. I ordered a veggie combo, not being entirely clear on what it would amount to. I ended up with a whole lot of rice and a couple of premade dishes, one with chickpeas, and one with potatoes. I was not impressed with his combination and would have preferred more variety and more vegetables which are common to the cuisine. I didn't want to order anything additional because that was already a ton of carbs. The flavors, including a house, hot sauce, were distinctive. If I came back, I would place a more customized order as they did have a wide variety of vegetarian/vegan options. It would be nice to see them in a more downtown space, as there is some need for variety in this area.

Welp the service is what it is. That's already been thoroughly discussed on here, so let's get into…read morethe food. I got the large oxtail and was definitely disappointed. They are sliced very thin so it appears you are getting a lot of meat but you're really not. Even with them being sliced so thin, they were tough as rocks and not tender at all! The flavor just wasn't there for me as well. It was definitely a miss. However the rice and cabbage were both tasty. The beef patty was good but I'm pretty sure it was commercial so really not way to mess that up. There's only to-go available at this time. Overall, wasn't return or recommend.

The portions....my God, the portions. Why? Actually, I don't even care. The fact that I paid $12…read morefor a large oxtail plate and got 3 days worth of food speaks to the portions. 3 days! Worth of food! So much food! When the guy handed me the bag with my food, I thought he'd put a brick in it or something, it was so heavy. Lemme talk about that rice, though. I wasn't sure what to expect from the peas and rice since I've had it a bit dry, I've had it mushy, I've had it this way and that. A&M's peas and rice might be the best I've had. It was almost succulent. Granted, there were oxtail on top and, therefore, oxtail juices had seeped through in some areas, I'm sure. But even the places that hadn't been touched by the oxtail were....juicy? I don't even know the right term to use. But it definitely was not mushy or watery or dry or bland. Very good flavor, and tons of it. The cabbage was also a great consistency, which is hard to do when you're making a large quantity of cabbage. That wasn't mushy either (overcooked), nor was it hard (undercooked). It still had a bit of a bite to it, which is how I like my cabbage, so it was delicious to me. The roti skin was hot and ready to go, packaged separate from the rest of the plate, of course. Great flavor, a bit flaky, which I like. I wrapped a bit of everything in about half of it (peas n rice, cabbage, oxtail meat), and it held together really well. The ratio of items was what I'd expect: tons of rice, a side corner of cabbage, several oxtail on top of the rice. I could have actually done with a little bit less rice and a bit more cabbage, but I'm not complaining about how they packaged it. Great food, nice establishment in an empty shopping plaza. FYI, they have a free chicken platter on one of their special nights (can't remember which one, and there's a $5 admission to get in). I shall return!
