6 months ago My wife and I suffered injuries from a rear end accidentvon I45 after coming home from a celebration of life in Minnesota. We were hit by a minor who did not have a driver's license to drive on his own without an adult present. In addition, the trucknhe was driving was not registered nor had it passed a safety inspection. He was missing wiper blades and had cracks in his windshield. It was raining at the time and first responders were already on site dealing with multiple accidents and were waiving people down to stop, slow down and change lanes. The teen. Never stopped or slowed down and hit us full speed on the left rear corner of my wife's 2018 Lexus RX450h SUV. I had just had back and neck fusion three weeks prior and for the first time in many years I was free of pain.​ in addition, this area of I45 has had a history of accident because of poor drainage. Sharon Fletcher Cantrell took our case and had her assistant, Ann Marie McGill, work with us as well. Everything seemed to be going well but they chose not to pursue DOT for partial liability which we understood. My wife and I are 70 and 71 years old and are both devout Christians and chose Simmons and Fletcher because of their claim to be a Christian firm. It has taken a lot of prayer and waiting on the Lord to finally provide a review so others may know of our experience. After believing all is well and moving forward, Sharon notified us that they are withdrawing from our case without warning or even knowing the real reason. We have been devastating as they had done so much work and we are now left with unpaid bills and creditors demanding money. This is not what "we treat you like family" means nor how Christians should treat anyone. Since the July 2019 accident I have had 5 surgical procedures on my neck and still having pain. The Dr's now recommend a disk replacement. I have had on going treatment for pain, torn rotator cuff which resulted from the hit and wearing the seatbelt. Maybe, our case is the exception and not the rule but, I want others to know how we were treated and abandoned by Simmons and Fletcher and Sharon Fletcher Cantrell. read more

I had slipped on a wet floor in the middle of the afternoon at NRG during the big game when there were 60,000 visitors attending the game. Traffic was very backed up. I was driving Uber and had just dropped off my pasanger when I decided to take a break since traffic wasn't moving and pulled into the Cafe off 610 . I walked in, wasnt in the building no more than 2 minutes when I realized i left my wallet in the car. I was parked at the front door. While i returned to my vehicule I slipped and flew into the air like a leaf falling off a tree , i hit the floor very hard, i was in a state of shock, and just wanted to get up, which i couldnt. I crawled to my car, it took me over 4 hours to get back into my side of town, the Woodlands, and went to the emergency room where i was diagnosed with a double hip fracture. I was admitted overnite, the first thing I did was call Simmons and Fletcher , i was refered to them thru friends who had sucess with their claim being represented by Simmons and Fletcher. They accepted my case. I was guided by Amanda Johnston thru the process and she won my case . I was very pleased with how she progressed and handled all the requests from the location law firm. Amanda Johnston truely sucedded in every aspect of closing my case with my benifits being her priority. I have no idea whether Simmons and Fletcher Law Firm is excellent or terrible. I contacted their office Thursday August 5, 2022, in the afternoon regarding filing a lawsuit against Methodist Hospital, The Woodlands regarding my wife falling from a curb in their parking garage. I talked to their call taker, explained things and was almost immediately advised that I would be referred to attorney at another law firm. I never was offered an appointment date/time to talk with one of their attorneys, just attempted to pawn me off to another law firm. Nothing Christian or professional in my dealings with Simmons and Fletcher Law Firm, however, I do wonder if they were in some way to obligated to Methodist Hospital, The Woodlands or just afraid to take on Methodist. My advice to a little person needing an attorney, look elsewhere, chances are you won't find the help you're needing at Simmons and Fletcher. read more

No, we cannot recommend Simmons and Fletcher, and yes, we realize many other people feel differently. We misunderstood the way things work. As we wrote in a follow-up email to Karon, our case manager, with a copy to the attorney we have never met or talked with, we would have been far better off had Simmons and Fletcher told us five or six months ago there was insufficient loss for them to be involved. At least that is only conclusion we can reach. It is not like anyone at the firm has reached out to us except for a letter withdrawing their representation almost six months later. We are the ones who found ourselves following up with Karon for updates. After over two months of "working on our case", assembling the medical information, billing copies, photographs, confirmations from medical providers, Simmons and Fletcher wrote a letter to the other insurance company with a demand. We had no idea what that demand was until after our case was dropped. We waited several weeks for a response to that demand letter. We did the usual follow up with Simmons and Fletcher so we would have some idea how the matter was progressing. Last month we were finally advised that the case was being reviewed by the attorney(s) responsible for litigation on the second Wednesday of the following month. Low and behold, a rejection letter arrived from the other side just in time for our case review and evaluation as to whether Simmons and Fletcher was willing to litigate. Had we not called our case manager for a follow-up a day after the case review, the news informing us that Simmons and Fletcher was no longer representing us would have arrived one day letter by certified letter in the mail. In our opinion, not quite the manner of communication it seems one could reasonably anticipate with the marketing direction Simmons and Fletcher projects in their advertising media. The facts of the case have not changed since that January meeting. We left their office in January after a discussion with a legal assistant thinking an initial determination would be made in a short period of time as to whether or not Simmons and Fletcher wanted to move ahead with the case. Apparently that review took longer than we thought. We sure would have appreciated a determination from Simmons and Fletcher five or six months ago that there was no benefit in their representing us. We personally paid significant amounts of money to medical providers thinking that Simmons and Fletcher was going to help us like the clients who wrote the letters in the lobby binder. So in other words, game over after a simple letter last week from the other side denying the claim. As we told Simmons and Fletcher in an email last Friday, this would have been a much easier situation to accept back closer to the beginning five or six months ago. We regret ever reaching out to Simmons and Fletcher. That was our mistake. We thought we had an entirely different type of law firm representing us than some of the other practices that we wanted to avoid. Six months have been lost and several thousand dollars of our money spent on medical expenses which our health insurance company would not pay because this was a third party accident and we had legal counsel. We are pleased other clients felt positive about their experience but we do not share in their enthusiasm. The "on hold" office recording at Simmons and Fletcher encourages callers to recommend Simmons and Fletcher to other people. We cannot do that. read more

For many years watching Simmons and Fletcher commercials made a good impression for "Christian Trial Lawyers ". My experience is such to where my husband and I were left in bewilderment after months of waiting to be left with sorry we cannot move forward in your case because the insurance company denied the claim after surgery. I went and presented a personal injury case about my son breaking his arm at an apartment complex. About 1 year after taking the case they said they couldn't help me cause my ex signed a waiver. My ex signed it but I didn't (ex husband). I went to another attorney and she took my case. The attorney I went to is an advocate for children. We settled out of court for a good sum. I normally don't write reviews but In this case I felt one was in order. I had a personal injury case that I brought to this firm to review. They reviewed the case and proceeded to move forward with it. I met with these people on 2 occasions to provide input and documentation and on each occasion asked the same question, is this a case worth moving forward with? The answer always vague but never did they say "No it is not" or "chances are slim" or any indications that is was not worth their time or mine. 2.5 months later they receive a denial from the party that I was attempting to recover damages from. With this denial they sent me a certified mail saying now they don't want to move forward and close the case. I was stunned. I don't know what they expected the other party to do, of course they were going to deny the claim. They didn't ask me my thoughts or if I wanted to continue with actions. Just closed the case. They wasted my time and never even really tried to do what I would expect a law firm should do. I have now found another law firm that is actively working on my case. This placed sucked. read more

I called and made an appointment a day or 2 after my accident and met with their paralegal. She laid everything out and answered every single question that I asked. After the process started she would call every week or so and keep me updated with the whole case. If I had any questions or concerns in between calls I was able to email or call her and she would respond within in 24 hours. Simmons and Fletcher has no regard for you and view you as their next meal. Leaves you completely in the dark as well. I've even asked so many times to please just update me on the case and every time there was an update I would have to call and ask for an update after asking nicely to just let me know things without having too ask all the time..yet I still have to wipe asses to get information. When things finally came to the end and even then they told me they would contact me about my check as soon as it hit their office. Yet again i called mid day 2 hours before they were closing to ask if a check for me has arrived and what do you know?? Checks there and I don't know how long it was there for bc I stopped calling and gave it a few days. Again no call no nothing I know checks don't come in in that late. Settlement was shit I've talked to a lot of lawyers and they told me Simmons likes to low ball people. And by the reviews I've seen lol now I know why it's not highly rated.
