The Village Vets are now owned by separate owners under the same management group but def not the same, the treatment we get at the Village Vets ER is always amazing, unfortunately I can not say the same about Avondale location since we no longer feel welcome there . They are now our first call when we realize we have a foster cat with a potentially medically complicated or confusing case. Doctor Lloyd has been able to help us get answers and better understand treatment options for medical multiple foster kitties for us over the last few years - from an older kitten who kept getting high fevers and bizarre symptoms, a young cat that showed signs of feline hyperesthesia, a tiny kitten who turned out to have a rare congenital cardiac condition (both are adults and doing great!), our own sweet but very skittish cat who needed complicated dental surgery, and a geriatric sweetheart with a laundry list of medical issues who found himself on an EU list at a rural shelter, Dr Lloyd helped us understand what to look out for with his conditions and what to balance in his treatment plan for best quality of life during his hospice foster time with us. They have always taken the time not only to explain any findings or recommendations and answer questions, but to make sure the cat had the best possible experience during the exam with the least amount of stress. The bedside manner grabbed my attention before they'd even had a chance to show the medical brilliance. After searching the local vets we decided upon EA Animal Clinic and we are very happy. Our other 2 vets did not see a problem that our 7 year old pug was having and misdiagnosed her (they have been good vets so this is not a blemish on them) so we brought her here and they immediately found the issues. Unfortunately they had to refer us to another facility for a procedure but we feel very comfortable with this vet and staff and will continue to come to them with all of our pets. I will give 4.5 stars...one thing is if additional testing or treatment is needed after discharge, I would suggest the fee for initial exam be waived beyond the 24 hour period.....say 72 hours. If a return for the same problem is needed in that timeframe then paying for necessary treatment or diagnostics would be helpful. All in all, this Veterinary ER is highly recommended and I wouldn't hesitate to return.
