Our little chocolate lover waiting for results
    Roxanne P.

Brought my dog in for chocolate ingestion at the recommendation of our normal vet. Of course it was super dark chocolate so I was in a pretty good panic. Front desk staff was super nice and understanding of my tears. Told me I would wait 5 min, it was about that when I was brought to an exam room. A Vet tech saw me almost immediately to explain the process- they'd induce vomiting then go from there. Took her back, and then about 15 min later brought her back and I got to see the vomit (definitely chocolate). They were so nice and informative. Then told me they'd call poison control for a recommendation on the amount of chocolate and treatment, and after they get that info the doc would see us. Then came a long wait because Poison Control had them on hold. The doctor came in every 30 min to update us and never made us feel neglected. They let our pup hang as well, and let my husband in when he arrived to the room. When they finally got an answer they came in right away with treatment options, which included an outpatient option. Felt like they gave us all the info and the price isn't too bad for the immediacy and good service. Recommend this place for emergency needs.

Brando ear wounds. The wounds are healing post this photo with the antibiotic and Silver Sulfadiazine Cream applications as ordered.

5 stars for the hospital and staff…read more 1 star for the ER I changed my loved ones insurance to have Emory. It's a higher standard of care and I like teaching hospitals even if 5 scribes and students always accompany the doctor. HOSPITAL/CLINIC Self-parking and valet is a headache and expensive unless you're admitted for three weeks or longer, then you can buy an in and out pass. No parking validation for emergencies. Although the ER and hospital rooms have WiFi, common areas and clinic lobbies lack cell service. Uber drivers can't find you because there are several hospital entrances. Allow plenty of time if you have more than one appointment in different areas (A, B, C). Eye doctors are on three different floors which is confusing. Emory is huge so take advantage of wheelchairs if needed. Some doctors don't read the chart so be prepared to repeat yourself and take notes. Nurses are caring and hard working and the ICU is excellent. There are filtered water fountains & a cafe that's always open for delicious hot meals or snacks although the prices recently increased. Take a pic of the patient menu and call their order in. Clean and comfy rooms have couches, cable, storage and a couch/recliner for guests, some even have views. I love 'My Chart' where records, appointments, prescriptions and communication with your provider is just a few phone clicks away. The ER is another story entirely. EMERGENCY ROOM First visit was for a serious emergency which required surgery. The stay was extended several days for an MRI. We were told even patients arriving in ambulances were lined up stretcher to stretcher to wait for an MRI. Second trip after an accident involved a reasonable wait time and thorough care. But the third visit was the last. We waited in a freezing lobby crammed with sick people for 15 hours before seeing a doctor. We were given a wait time via app which extended until updates stopped completely. I've never heard such bloodcurdling screams, one patient in back sounded like he was being tortured. From 4pm to 6am there were NO DOCTORS. A young man was was crying out in agony after losing his mom. Sadly, people were taking their frustration out on the front desk person due to a lack of security. One guard ran out from the back after being stabbed in the hand by a patient. I had to go for a walk to calm down while my loved one froze, waited and starved. No-one informed us of a cafeteria. Thin blankets were handed out and patients were told no meds without first seeing a physician. We didn't see one until the morning shift arrived. The nurse admitted someone died due to lack of staff and she was going to quit. Thank God my loved ones injury was not life-threatening. I filled out a survey and never heard from Emory. As frightening as this ER experience was, I'd still choose this campus over Emory Decatur where previously, a serious omission was made during surgery and the room wasn't clean. Grady isn't even in the running. But since we're privileged enough to have a car, we'll drive the extra 15 minutes to St. Joseph's for future ER visits. SUM Emory University Hospital (Clifton) has room for improvement, especially regarding ER and parking. But cleanliness, care, comfortable rooms, My Chart, meals and staff are recommended.

After 3 decades…read morebeing a patient with VAMC system & I have visited numerous of VAMC in 49 US States, I can truthful say that Atlanta VAMC is the #1 worst. Being a patient at Atlanta VAMC I've been subjected to a coordinated campaign of abuse and retaliation by the Atlanta VA leadership & staff to cover up vendor fraud and staff misconduct. I was forced from my mobility scooter to mobility wheelchair because PM&R stated that they don't provide elevated leg lifts for scooters. I was in my 2nd device mobility wheelchair when I brutally assaulted by a resident Terri Vegter at my prior residence. Which I have included videos in this review. In the video which runs 2:47, when it absurdly ends is when Terri Vegter hijacked my mobility wheelchair by having control over my joystick while she was strangling me with my own key fob. Her actions made my mobility wheelchair crashed into the neighbor's across the hallway, my joystick & right armrest was severely damaged. I went to the Atlanta VAMC Physical Therapy Department showed Barbara Harris & Jill Siok the damage & videos .Along with the Wheeled Mobility Committee, Jill Siok & Barbara Harris intentionally delayed repairs for months, forcing me to use my mobility wheelchair for 4 months held together by duct taped. Their delays resulted having to have a 3rd mobility device (power chair). I discovered the VA "We Fix It" delivered used, refurbished chairs with hair-embedded wheels. Despite independent technicians Osteen Salman verifying that the damage was due to previous vendors negligence &: not my own, Prosthetics Chief Jeffrey Jarvis & Supervisor Nikki Collins verbally assaulted me, accusing me of "abusing" equipment to protect their fraudulent vendors. Medical Neglect & Silence on September 2025, I collapsed at a Cobb County VA town hall with a life-threatening blood pressure of 201/201, Atlanta VAMC Director Kai Mentzer displayed a sickening lack of professionalism, & showed no concern. falsified. To silence my reports of fraud, Dr. Norvel placed a retaliatory "flag" on my record the first in my entire history as a patient. The Atlanta VAMC attempted to gaslight me, but I have the receipts, serial numbers, vendor statements to prove the fraud. It took a WSB-TV news report & a private donor to give me back my mobility because the VISN 7 leadership and the VA system failed me at every level. To my fellow Veterans: Be warned. When you speak the truth about this bureaucracy, they will use "flags" as weapons to discredit you. I am documenting every name & every lie for my upcoming book. I will also be personally sue everyone involved. When it comes to Atlanta VAMC PM&R Physicians Dr. Keyonna Jenkins, MD Dr. Ka Hoi V. Hui, MD, Dr. Demosthenes N. Sarlis, MD & Dr. Jeffrey Eliason, MD they will make determinations without even examining you. These Physicians that are listed above claimed after looking at my 3 decades plus VAMC records for 20 minutes that they couldn't find no need for me to have mobility devices. Is impossible to go through that many years of records in that little amount of time. I'm extremely thankful that the Huntington West Virginia & Louisville Kentucky VAMCS took excellent care of me specifically their Prosthetics, Physical Therapy & PM&R departments. Even the VA OIG have shows how Atlanta VAMC is a great failure by their reports. When it comes it to VISN 7 leadership and some staff like Donovan Ohrt, who's the Patient Advocate he's very unprofessional, & doesn't do his job. I'm praying that the next US President fire the unprofessional leadership & some staff within the Atlanta VAMC and VISN 7. Specifically Atlanta VAMC Patient Advocate Lee, Renee' Francis-Turner, M.A., Congressional Liaison/Public Affairs Specialist Atlanta VA & Dunte Artis, Management & Program Analyst, Office of the Chief of Staff, Atlanta VAHCS who are extremely professional and needs to be fired. Please watch the evidence where Terri Vegter covered up my Ring doorbell camera afterwards did the brutal assault. * https://youtu.be/cAVR2Zo2SfU?feature=shared * https://youtu.be/bF9UICkedxM?si=7J4kr_hOo6hMsYC1 Thanks to WBS TV2 for airing my story & a Donor for my new customized mobility wheelchair that Atlanta VAMC failed to do.

Walked into a Welcome Center area that was staffed & very clean! Nice area. Plenty of great signs to point us in the right direction. Love that! Nice & big restrooms as well. Dad wanted a vending machine snack, and they have a few. 1 down where we were & another little self-serve coffee/snack station upstairs.
