If you are an American and you care about your health, save your money here and invest it in a PPO in the U.S. They have the worse customer service and when it comes to a serious diagnoses such as cancer, you are going to want to see a specialist in the states where they have advanced technology and treatments. SIMNSA is not that place. According to Dr. Diana Rojas from infectious disease with SIMNSA, the dr's here at SIMNSA just do chemotherapy to charge the insurance not to help the patient because they are going to die anyways. Those were her words. Dr. Diana Rojas, also told a cancer patient to, "stop fighting you know where this is going to end." Dr. Diana Rojas is not even an oncologist and is only speaking from her own experience since her mother passed away from cancer. I recently called the emergency customer service for information and Adrian and Alfonso were rude, unprofessional, and unwilling to help. They both spoke over me and they both hang up the phone on me without assistance. If you want a cheap health insurance and don't care about your health, then expect to receive cheap service and results. This place is a scam for Americans to come down and get medical help or dental help. They promise you a fast pass, and then they tell you their system down. They ask you to come the next day and pick up a pass. However, when you do. I'm sorry that was for that night only. This is the second time this has happened to me. Tired with Simsa nowadays, going to the specialist is annoying. Follow-up appointments are required to first go with the general doctor to have a pass for the specialist. Meaning two visits on different days for the same issue. For my family, living in the USA very close to the border and crossing with a Sentri card means about 3 hours total per visit. Specialists are usually available 7-30 days after general doctor visits. So it is a waste of time doing two visits. The waiting days between appointments make SIMNSA a costly option if you are considering your time is very valuable. For me, it is 3 hours round trip per visit. I can not imagine how long is for people living up to the north of San Diego or without a sentry card. .... It is ridiculous that we prefer to go with another specialist out of Simnsa to make our time well used. read more

I have been to Simnsa twice I enrolled with MEXSALUD and it is way cheaper then the insurance in San Diego. The doctors have concern and take they time with you only thing is I was charged my phone bill for calling to Simnsa for some odd reason it is coming up as calling the carribean. I was very surprised on the level of service we have received especially while in Mexico. My boyfriend does not speak Spanish and was nervous about going to the dentist here. However, he was very please and surprised on how well some of the staff spoke English there. They did a deep cleaning on 1 side of the mouth and he only paid $36 out of pocket and they did a really good job. He had a deep cleaning done less than a year ago in the states and there was a big difference after getting it down there. The facility is very clean and there is a secure parking lot. They also validate the parking and you get a 2 hour free parking. You should also make sure to ask for the Pase Médico which I believe was $5. This will allow you to drive back in the Medical lane which will put you almost to the front of the line to cross back. If you have the option to get SIMNSA dental coverage I would def recommend it. read more

I'm at a wow with this medical facility. It's always smelling clean and refreshing. They have employees everywhere in case you can't find were you need to go. I went in for my first doctors appointment and the doctor was very thorough and about my concerns. Also answered all questions and concerns i had. Simnsa's healthcare workers are very respectful and professional. Walk-ins are welcome and do not take long in my experience no more than 2 hours. All physicians care for your health and listen EXCEPT "Salcedo Hernandez Juan Lorenzo." I unfortunately had the worst experience with this provider. He does not care nor listen to you, very unprofessional and uneducated. I saw him twice as a walk in and both times came out upset. I was only seen for less than 3 mins, he really hates his job he should not be a MD. Highly recommend to not be seen with him for your healthcare issues/concerns. read more

As a San Diego resident I don't usually go to TJ much, but it is about a 5min walk. I had some dental work done, and the people were amazing and super nice! Zero stars for SIMNSA I'm trying to make them pay for an emergency I had on December 2021 and today March 26 2022 I am receiving the same bills saying I'm past due. I sent SIMNSA claim department many emails with my bills , and they just told me is in process last time they told me it will be resolved by March 14 but guess what not true. I will go to to the business bureau to put my complain and of course to my company because they are a fraud!!! Stay away from Simnsa!! read more

I totally understand the issues they are having during Covid, however this problems precede the corona virus pandemic. 90% of their doctor and specialist lack education, they are conceded, RUDE, and insulting. You make an appointment with them, your insurance pays and you pay your co-pay so is not free, but when they see you is like they are doing you a favor and not getting paid for it, even the doctors that volunteer to treat people in need for free, have better manners. I'm really disappointed in the lack of care from the doctors, I had seek help in the U.S. for an issue they took almost 2 years with one treatment, physical therapy, and pills, with nothing resulting from it, the first doctor I showed my X-ray in the U.S. immediately said that I needed surgery, and why had I waited so long!!! Needles to say, they took care of me, of course having no insurance in the states and Simnsa not covering, it had to come out of pocket . Came back to Simnsa to renew a prescription the hospital in the states had covered, they said I had to see a doctor again since it had been a year, I understand that. But I had a phone appointment at 8 a.m. and called as told @8:10 when the Doctor didn't call me, she was busy disinfecting her office she would call in a few min. No call, I call again, she was with a patient, again waiting 2 hrs later no call, so I call again , this time they were able to connect with her. A lady answer the phone with un upset tone "How can I help you" I didn't know if it was the receptionist or who, until I had to ask her if she was the doctor (and said her name) and she said "yes, how can I help you" no professionalisms!! I mean how hard is it to say " hello my name is doctor Smith, sorry I didn't call you at your appointment time but how can I help you" Simnsa needs to send them to a basic manners training!! Normally, I think the service here is great. But today I came to my appointment on time and because the scheduler made a mistake they moved my appointment to a later time. They then switched my two appointments which were supposed to go in order because I have a tumor and need to ask the oncologist a question first before going to the second doctor. I don't appreciate their inconsistency in their scheduling. They do not consider a persons time. I'm very disappointed and upset. read more

Worst reception customer service ever !! I've never had a problem with the actual care providers but their front staff are the worse! If they would stop chatting and mingling amongst themselves and actually do their job , it would make your visit a much pleasant one! When u ask them if someone can please check someone in they roll their eyes then tell u to grab a ticket and continue to talk amongst themselves. Tonight I counted 16 people seated waiting to be called and 10 people in line waiting for someone to acknowledge them this is inexcusable! Ps. Was advised to go early between 9:30am to 11am & get there at 10am to get the run around & no service. This was an emergency due to major molar pain for a couple of days. I can't believe it was here all along. I know I should but, I rarely go to the doctor. I'm getting older and I'll probably need to more. Through my company insurance, I've gone to Sharp. And if if you've only gone a few times to see your primary over the years or, for glasses, everything works fine. BUT, if you really had pain and really Need to go see a specialist,.. Welcome to a world of frustration. Other than Urgent Care or Emergency Room, you will have an appointment far into the future. A month or more. And, if you have real pain, it does not matter. In short order, I learned that American Healthcare sucks. And I pay more than $500 per month to be wait until they say. It is disappointingly obvious now, that in the US, money rules the industry. Doctors do not care about your pain. They only care about theirs. Now, it's November. And it's time to renew (or not) my healthcare insurance through my company. And, short of mandated Obamacare, I don't see how I can continue to pay for non-service. Hell, if my cable is acting up, I call the cable company and complain. They then credit however many days it wasn't working for me. BUT, I still pay $500+ dollars a month, though they may give me an appointment 2 months into the future. (As they did). Enter SIMNSA. In Mexico (Tijuana), within walking distance from te border, is a jewel. A diamond in the ruff, as it were. My family told me to come here. That it's great. And as usual, my family is right. I walked in without insurance. I was examined by a wonderful doctor. (My new primary). I had. X-rays. I had my prescription filled. We signed up for their family plan. And, we left less than three hours later, I felt like crying. I was so thankful. So grateful that, in this world, there ARE good people that care about me, my family and everyone. Of course, of course it's less expensive. But, I wasn't looking to save cost. I needed and received attention asap. And now I'm going to coming here. All the time. Because the people here care. They really, really care. I encourage anyone who can. If you are like me and kinda learn about things later rather than sooner, come to SIMNSA. Don't frustrate yourself with doctors that put themselves first. For context: I wanted to see a rheumatologist. And first one I called, could give me an appointment 12/22/16!!! the facility is great! but customer service leaves you frustrated , they all give you the run around , no one seams to know what they're doing . the doctors don't care about the patient . they want you in and out ,don't take the time to hear your concerns , they fight you on extra procedures that require exams , tests etc. they're there to try and save the hospital money and not the patient. so you end up changing doctors over and over. and most of them don't know what they're doing i hate to say it they seams like they are interns and not profesional ..my wife my, children and me hate going . but have no choice (for now) every body there seems to like working there because of the facility and clean atmosphere but as far as caring for the patient.. not even close! very disappointed ! heck for the money i pay $over $500 monthly i except better i shouldn't have to go outside of simnsa to see a doctor but ive been paying out of pocket , so i could go back and proof to them of the misdiagnosis. read more

I called about a previous procedure that was done for me in the dental section. They told me to go in and see the same dentist so he could have a look. They made me an appointment just in case. I was there a half hour early and didnt go in until 40 min after my appointment. When I saw he him he told me everything was fine. I was with him for 15 min cause I had been having pain in the area. I ended up leaving. and at the front desk they were charging me. They never told me over the phone or in person that I had to pay. They went to talk to the dentist and he said he was charging me because it was out of the insured time frame. I still dont feel like my teeth are ok. They charge was definitely not called for. Apparently they dont like to tell you what it will cost until after they have "helped you." read more

I just went to try the services because my work insurance cover it with a very low co-pay. In my family we also have the believe that the medication in Mexico is better than in the US, here it seams they don't cure just control your diagnose.
