I lived for over 4 years with debilitating right hip and knee pain. And, then, I was referred to Dr. Simon Dardashti, at a time when my primary care doctor left Facey and a replacement had not been hired. It was very fortunate for me. I've been suffering with low back pain from hip to hip down both of my legs for years. This man Dr. Dardashti is one of a kind. I can tell him my symptoms over the phone and he will go back through my records and see when I've said those same symptoms in the last six years and he'll know exactly what I need or he'll fit me in his busy schedule to see me and the people in his office, especially Able always find a way to get me in and manage my pain even at home and keep my pain controlled until I have my appointment to get shots in my back. I'm the biggest baby when it comes to needles. I just can't seem to relax, and he finds a way to relax me enough to the point that I don't even know he's injecting me. He cares about your life. He goes above and beyond to know what your day today activity is and he truly cares about the people who come into his office. I can't say enough about this incredible human. I could not do all that I do without him. I take care of my two grandbabies I care from my mom who's 83 in bedridden I run a full-time business and I try to fit a workout in twice a week! During an emergency i tryed to get some pain pills because the 12 the ER gave me were gone and i am in a lot of pain. After two day and at 5 pm Friday he denied my request with out talking to me. He said i need to wait for my appointment a month away! He said to go back to the ER! Thats a caring Doctor(NOT). I have been in bed since i went to the ER and its very pain full to lay down much less go to a hospital ER. I would give 0 stars if i could! This dr is by far the worst at Facey! He's very new to Facey. The only good thing about him is his tone other than that he's very condescending and doesn't offer a treatment plan. I asked him for one and didn't receive anything he was absolutely horrible! What kind of doctor doesn't make themselves available to their patients?? I asked him if I could contact him by way of the office should something go wrong and he said no. He also lied in my chart by stating we went over things which we didn't I will be reporting him to my insurance company! He's just looking for a quick money grab! Facey hired a real life quack. Dr. Dardashti treated me more like a friend than a doctor. He's compassionate and very thorough. I went to see him for my neck pain, he showed me my MRI images and taught me posture changes that have helped a lot while I'm on the computer. Dr. Dardashti is the worst pain management doctor I have ever Seen. I wanted to change my pain doctor because I moved so I saw this provider recently. He would not Prescribe me any pain medication for my chronic neck pain, four fractured ribs & a rotor cup injury from a recent fall. I had been on the medication in question for three years and he said I was on a high dose. All he suggested was to return to my old pain management office. I just thought it was very strange that a pain management doctor was not interested in helping me with my pain. So what a waste of $75.00. I believe he called my primary care doctor as well because he was uninterested in helping me as well and said alot of the same things the pain doctor was saying. I should have just got up & walked out of the office but I was and am still in alot of pain. I feel foolish trying to reason with an unreasonable doctor which I don't like to even call him a doctor. He had no sympathy for me at all. I even had seen him years ago when he was with UCLA in T.O. and he was prescribing medication back then. Would never recommend him to anyone! read more

In one word, Dr. Dardashti is compassionate. He truly understands all the complications that go with pain that has been non responsive. I've had two cortisone shots and have an ablation of the nerves in my back scheduled. He is gentle and talks you through the procedures to ease your anxiety. If the procedures are uncomfortable, Dr. Dardashti will listen to you and go slower or find a more comfortable path to the nerve. During office visits, he really listens and only alters your medications with your permission. I truly feel a parter with him in my care, and he makes it clear that is his goal. He's said many times if I'm unhappy with a regimen he starts me on, it will only add to the pain and stress. Dr. Dardashti has been my doctor for about two years now after several others. If you are looking for someone to listen to the trial you've been suffering with pain and all that goes along with it, please see Dardashti. He will guide you with compassion away from the cycle of pain while keeping you as stress Free as possible. Also, his nurses are wonderful and all calls are returned usually within a few hours and most of the time by Dr. Dardashti himself. Be sure you ask how much his office visit is and what your insurance will cover. He charged $800 for a short conversation with 2 prescriptions. They didn't even have my records in advance of my appointment. Since he's out of network I am stuck with a $400 bill. They lowered it to $250 which is still completely unreasonable! This is everything wrong with insurance today. The absolute gall of charging $800 is just disgusting. read more

It's almost impossible to get through to a human at this office. Expect very long hold times (like about 18-20 or more minutes of recordings before a human picks up). When you finally get through, it's not the office you need but an operator for all of the doctors in multiple offices. Then you have another long wait if you actually want to talk to someone at the office. Then when/if you ultimately talk to someone, the team is not very courteous in my experience/opinion. Note: if you are 15 minutes late for your appointment, you might be turned away even if you're in your late 80's, disabled and transported there in a wheelchair by medical transport. You won't be able to get through on the phone easily to tell them you're running late due to a late medical van pick-up. This was our experience, calling to give them a heads up, getting hold recordings etc., arriving at the building 15 minutes late, then turned away at the office. The medical van had left, in the meantime, so there was an hour and 45 minute wait at the building for the medical transport to come back and pick the patient up from a doctor visit that never happened. The level of compassion at the office about this predicament differed from some other medical offices I've dealt with which exhibit some degree of understanding for elderly disabled patients who are dependent on medical transportation companies which sometimes are not on time. Needless to say, we won't be returning. read more

My regular doctor of many years, Dr. Wilson, referred me to Dr. Dardashti for pain. I have multiple interconnected problems that cause me pain. It takes an expert to really hear a non-expert. If you can engage Dr. Dardashti and allow him to know you, he will take care to know and to understand you. He will give you opportunities and options for pain relief. He is great doctor- very deliberate, calm, reasoned. He will help you. Like many super competent people, he has a great staff. Abel, his assistant, has helped me almost as much as Dr. D., especially with surgical procedures. Abel appreciates that I am in pain. He is unfailingly cheerful and positive, even though I sometimes am not. He makes me feel better and more confident before the doctor gets in the room.
