The vet techs were so kind and comforting during stressful moments, and the veterinarians were knowledgeable, attentive, and truly amazing at what they do. After they had attended to my pug they wanted payment to which I went to write a check and then informed me they don't take checks. I only had a checkbook and they decided to ask the owner if they could take my check. They were told no and not to dispense any meds that I was to give my pug. I was told I could pay with a CC but I don't use credit cards now that I'm retired nor was it made clear to me that checks weren't allowed. I had used that vet since moving to Port Charlotte in 2018 but the business was sold and under new ownership. My money wasn't good enough for them and now they won't get anymore of my business and I own 6 dogs and a cat. Terrible experience and I would advise anyone who has standards not to use them. I took my dog to another vet and had no problems paying by check and they were cheaper. Money grubbing losers!

After too much time not eating the wife and I decided that he needed to be seen. We are somewhat new to the area and had yet to establish with a new clinic. It was a Saturday and the office was pretty busy but they were able to get him in and was seen in about an hour. The staff were very polite and the vet very professional. Dr…read more Hall and his staff were very kind on the surface but there were many things about the clinic and care that concerned me. Let me start by saying it was difficult to even find the place. It was pretty dead with not much activity in the clinic, the place smelled like animal urine upon entering, the outside of the building was looking pretty rough and unkempt. Even the parking lot looked tired. All those things I can set aside except for the fact that my dog suffered needlessly. He broke his leg while we were on vacation for Christmas and therefore needed surgery to repair it. All they needed to do is check the incision and re-wrap it in a splint provided by the previous clinic and just ensure it was healing properly. He developed wounds and swelling due to it being improperly wrapped and inadequate padding and protection to his skin. ( He had several wraps and each one was not done properly).We had to take him to the ER on 2 occasions due to the pain the wraps were causing,even had to drive to Sarasota as no one locally could see him. When they unwrapped the most recent wrap he had wounds that appeared to have been there for a while and there was evidence of friction and rubbing over the surgical incision that should have been healed weeks ago. The ER vet had to treat the wounds and dress them and apply a brand new splint. We had to see a new surgeon the next day and got a second opinion and transfer his care to the new surgeon as we did not want to follow up with this clinic, even for his teeth that need some work. We just can't trust them. We asked every visit how his skin and incision looked and they always said he looked good, no problems. That's why I was floored when I saw how bad the wounds were on his arm which could be worse than even the initial fracture and he could risk losing his arm!! He was uncomfortable and in pain quite a bit of the time. Do not go to this clinic!!The reviews are mostly from 5 years ago and do not reflect what it's like now. I hate having to write this review but people need to know. Not sure what type of surgeries Dr. Hall is performing but it seems like the emphasis is on advanced dentistry. My dog's follow up post op should have been fairly straightforward but that's not what we got. I'd post a picture of my dog's leg but not sure people want to see it.

It was so refreshing to have the vet spend time with me. I was previously told my dog had a heart murmur but never knew how bad it was. This vet told me that it was only a 2 to 3 out of 6. That gave me reassurance. My dog is 13 and I want to keep her as healthy as possible. Love these guys.

Pro's: Vets are knowledgable and good with the animals except for the original vet not closing exam…read moreroom doors multiple times when your pet is free in the room. They seem up to date on latest practices minus things like CT's etc. Cons: It's the business practice side, communication, and lack of access that I'd say look elsewhere. Also, a vet willing to turn away an injured animal on a Friday afternoon is a major major negative especially with a prior scheduling arrangement. In 20 years of rescuing and fostering, I have never seen that action taken before. I have also never seen a practice before where you cannot leave a message or ask for a call back when their own lines are busy?! In fact, if you call most times, you cannot get through during their posted business hours. instead you get a message that states "if our 2 lines are busy then we are busy and so try calling again". No voicemail, and no way to return the call when They've left a message for you. No way to let them know you respected their time and tried to return their call. Other issues have been errors and missing rabies tag numbers they are required to submit. Lastly, most appts are more than 2 weeks out. Even with a sick or injured animals its often a 2 or more days wait. If anyone is familiar with felines - cats, by the time your pet shows injury or illness, you do not have much time left to help them. I've tried working with them for more than 6 months because they were recommend including driving up to them when can not reach by phone to answer their questions. I'm paying for this? And I'm not one of those rescue fosters that asks for free or very low fees. Professionals get to be paid for their training and experience. My experience has increasingly difficult and not willing to risk my job or my animals health trying to get it right with them. Final recommendations : 1) The younger staff need some additional customer service training including how to respectfully talk with customers, deescalation skills if unfortunately needed and simply how to build rapport. 2) Add an employee for simply handling your scheduling, phone calls, messages, and technology. Don't overload your vet techs with that front desk duties. bad business practice and creates their surly attitudes. Its great if your that busy and a growing practice. you will not be for much longer if you ignore addressing these gaps and your not given best care to the animals and their families.
