I have a high standard when it comes to my pets, I have been going here for 3 years. We use Dr…read more Seibert as our primary vet, he has a tender touch with the animals and even though they are nervous, he helps them relax. He takes the time needed to form a solid diagnosis and then makes sure he explains everything to you. He gets points from me cause I can be an overprotective mom and he handles it well. He will explain the options, give his advice and help you make a decision. An absolutely awesome vet. The staff are all attentive to the animals, they all care so much, it shows in all that they do. My little dog needed emergency surgery, it was on the weekend, so we took her to the emergency hospital. Dr. Rand's wife works there, she told she was calling him in to perform the surgery cause she had a heavy case load. He did an excellent job and saved her life They are also AAHA approved, which puts them at a higher standard!

Today I needed the LAST of all of my animals left just to be seen. She is a Pomchi, around 10 years old (she was gifted to me) and all I wanted to know was the price of JUST an office visit and I got a nasty email with more emails that could NOT just give me ONE SIMPLE ANSWER, how much is it to see my sick, elderly dog? When I did pick up my other dogs ashes, it was as if they didn't care. I will say, the nurse that was there the day I had to put him down, SHE is above and beyond way too good for that place and the Dr. that put him down seemed annoyed with us at first but then seemed more apathetic.

I was very worry after seeing my pet in pain that I had to call my first Vet from a different city to help Groves. My Vet before Groves use to giver her a shot that really helped, and within two hours the red spots of this allergies went away, However I did not know the name of the medicine and in desperation I called them and begged them to tell my new Vet the solution. After that they started treated her with the same shot a doubled the price. Their prices are ridiculous! And they want to sell you all kinds of products in each visit. The name of the shot is Cytopoint, it helps with severe allergies.

Without going into the excruciating details of the visit, I'll just say stay away for the benefit…read moreof your animal. The key highlights of the visit were that it was our first visit here and they didn't even bother to have a discussion about my two cats' history or background, they immediately started trying to give services that were not needed, and the biggest fail for them was that they don't examine the animals where you can even see what they're doing. And not only did they take the animals to the room, they didn't even give any paperwork of what was done. They also wanted to charge me several hundred dollars to sedate my declawed cat, that is basically a giant teddy bear and has literally never attempted to hurt another thing in his life. (Granted I know he's not on his best behavior at the vet, but if they'd let me be with him or did anything proactive to make him comfortable, he wouldn't have been as difficult.) Every concern I mentioned came with a sales pitch for some random product without any scientific discussion of the problem. I don't mind paying for anything that my cats may need, but the aggressive sales tactics here are so transparent and inappropriate. I left with tons of product flyers, but no invoice or medical record of what just occurred. Someone posted about this office on facebook and I feel like it sums up the experience pretty well in saying that I felt more like I was buying a car than taking my animal to a medical appointment with all of the aggressive upselling and product promotion. This place wasted my money and my time. I still ended up needing to take my cats to another vet that felt more trustworthy and nurturing.

Now let me say this.. we have travelled and lived all over this beautiful country of ours and I am telling you this vet emergency clinic is not just the best in Florida but the best in the country!! We cannot thank the wonderful angels that work here enough! They provide round the clock 24/7 dedicated love and attention to every animal brought here. Now I want to personally thank: Dr.Febbo, Dr.Angie, Meghan, Bernadette, Sarah at front desk.. you all are doing gods work and I thank you for your tireless efforts in helping and saving the animals in this community. Our animals are our family and when you come across people like this you need to be grateful and appreciative of having such a strong 24/7 team in charge of caring for ur loved ones. Thank you!!!!

Unfortunately I have to go here many times! Just 3 days ago,…read moremy little dog got bit by a Pygmy Rattlesnake! They are always so polite and work as hard as they can to help every animal that comes in. Service is based on severity of an animals condition, same as a human hospital. Some people get so mad because they have to wait, sometimes for hours. But take a minute to think about it. If you have a pet that was hit by a car and needed immediate medical attention, would YOU want to wait until it was your turn! While watching them help another animal that maybe had a broken leg. I GET IT, as an avid pet owner who loves her dogs, no one wants them to be in pain! I have gone there with a life emergency and was seen right away with surgery required. Other times I have had to wait for hours. I am good with it either way! Folks complain about the cost, yep, it's expensive but again, how much does it cost to go to the emergency room for humans? Plus, most of the people that work here also work at regular vet locations. Do I recommend them? You bet I do!!

Not only did they help save her life during one of the scariest moments I've ever experienced as a pet owner, but they also gave her incredible care through her eye surgery and recovery. Every single person we interacted with showed genuine compassion, patience, and love for animals. They treated my dog like she was their own and made sure I understood every step of the process. The vet techs were so kind and comforting during stressful moments, and the veterinarians were knowledgeable, attentive, and truly amazing at what they do. Because of this team, my dog is happy, healthy, and still by my side today. I will always be grateful for the care, dedication, and heart they put into their work every day. Thank you for giving my dog a second chance and for treating both of us with so much kindness.

After they had attended to my pug they wanted payment to which I went to write a check and then informed me they don't take checks. I only had a checkbook and they decided to ask the owner if they could take my check. They were told no and not to dispense any meds that I was to give my pug. I was told I could pay with a CC but I don't use credit cards now that I'm retired nor was it made clear to me that checks weren't allowed. I had used that vet since moving to Port Charlotte in 2018 but the business was sold and under new ownership. My money wasn't good enough for them and now they won't get anymore of my business and I own 6 dogs and a cat. Terrible experience and I would advise anyone who has standards not to use them. I took my dog to another vet and had no problems paying by check and they were cheaper. Money grubbing losers!
