They are not open. They do not answer their phone. It has been about a year since I dropped off my clock. Can anyone tell me what is going on, or how I can get my clock back? At this point I do not care if it has been repaired. I had been a loyal customer for years. I bought clocks, recommended them to friends, etc., in addition to having them care for my family's clocks. I had an old cheap clock that I had grown attached to - nice wood carving, but battery-run - and the "engine" (I know nothing of the nomenclature of clockworks) stopped working. My wife said she could fix it if I bought a replacement "engine" for probably ten bucks. I went to Simoni's and Cheryl helped me: she was friendly and efficient. She tested it, said yep: I need a new motor, and wished my wife luck in fixing it, which was sure was do-able. My wife later confessed she felt bad: she'd tried to fix it but couldn't make it work and told me to just go back and pay Simoni's to fix it, which I did. Cheryl found out the "made in China" motor she sold me was defective, so she found a different one and took pains to install it herself, all the while keeping up a funny banter about how fast culture and society seems to be moving these days, piano tuners, the Giants, etc. This is someone who knows her way around the faces of clocks. Watching her work was marvelous. She fixed it, we waited and watched the hands to make sure they moved correctly, and they did. There was no extra charge, and she asked me to please tell my wife that it wasn't her fault. What a delightful experience. read more

I took my clock to Simoni's Clock Shoppe to have its chains put back on and oiled. Over the course of 4 months, I called them and was given a new deadline over 3 times for when the clock would be ready. I finally realized that it was never going to be finished so I had to go and pick it up. When I arrived to get the clock, the male owner was extremely rude. I explained that in the future when you can't honor a customer deadline that it would be common courtesy to call the customer and explain. He sarcastically apologized to me and told me that family comes first. I don't understand how that has any baring on honoring customer promises. If your family comes first and you can't run your business then close; I am not demanding that they stay in business. Find another clock shop; by the time that they finish performing maintenance on your clock, you will have forgotten that you even dropped it off there. read more

Awful service! This store has had my clock for over a year! No response to requests to get my clock back. It had been promised to be ready for pick up several times and each time it was NOT ready....no phone call, no correspondence, no clock. They do not have an answering machine to leave a message. They close their store during 'open' hours, which are already limited. Terrible customer service and at this point....I just want my clock back! read more

I brought a treasured family air-loom Seth Thomas clock to Simoni's, years ago, when it stopped working. They repaired it at a reasonable price and it still keeps good time. Very pleased! read more

My usual watch repair guys (Olde Towne Jewelers in Santa Rosa) recommended I take my antique clock to Simoni's. They are SO nice and very informed. They were able to identify problems and give me a decent quote. They are well known in the area and backlogged so the completion date was a bit far off, but then they surprised me by finishing way sooner. They were able to reverse a previous, botched clock repair and also avoid ordering a part they thought I'd need when they initially looked it over. They really seemed to be perfectionists, truly desiring that a clock be in excellent condition without gouging the price up for unnecessary work. They even brought it out to my car when it was done as I'm disabled and its hard for me to get in and out. I was impressed with my whole experience and recommend them. read more

My mom's cuckoo clock stopped working. I brought it in and Cheryl and Sean were great. They said it would most likely be a simple repair. I left the clock with them and they had it finished quickly and at an affordable price. It was great being able to use a local company and it was a very pleasurable experience! read more

I do not recommend Simoni's Clock Shoppe. As stated by a previous review, they do not give you an estimate or quote of what your work will cost. I was just having the motor replaced in my clock. My mother has done this for me easily in the past on other clocks, but I decided to just take it in. The clock is not an expensive one, but I like it. Three weeks later, I finally get ahold of them (they rarely answer the phone during business hourse.) I was told, "oh, let me see if I can find that clock." She finally found it and told me it would be done tomorrow (now three and a half weeks after I dropped it off.) They have strange hours, so I had to leave work in the middle of the day to pick it up by 2:00. I did this two times, arriving at 1:45 and 1:50. Both times no one was there. My boyfriend stopped by on a Saturday during business hours...no one there. There is no way to leave a voicemail on their phone. Finally, on the fourth try, I arrived and they were there. Now I have lost over two hours of work time. She brought the clock out. The hands were supposed to be painted copper like the clock. They were painted brown. She told me that she could not find copper--okay, then give me the option of a color or doing it myself. Now I cannot see the hands and cannot tell the time from across the room. My final bill was $48.00! WHAT??? She rounded it to 45 since I had to come in so many time. Wow, thanks. But no Thanks. Do not take your clock here. I will find another clock shoppe in the future. Bad business practices and ridiculous labor cost. read more

When grandpa was working at this shop it was AWESOME. Since he has been too ill to work any longer, it is poorly managed. Their wait time is ridiculously long. I have brought three clocks in for repairs in the past two years. One had to be sent to the east coast and have all the repairs redone. One clock works well enough, it was only oiled. The third clock was in the shop for most of 18 months. It was there once for 9 months and $450 was charged. It came home in worse condition. We returned it for further care and it was further broken when we returned to its spot on our wall. This antique clock will never be the same. Don't take your valued clocks there for repairs. read more

Nice people, knowledgable, but the service is poor. Finding a time when they are open to either drop off or pick up a clock in need of repair is a really challenge. Out to lunch most of the time. read more

They have had my clock for about three years now, and Ive been trying to reach them to find out when it will be fixed but they never answer their phone, or are never open and you can't leave a message. Very frustrating. I sure hope they do a good job on the repair. read more

My experience was that of Chris, but they had my clock for 9, Nine months. It went in for a gear replacement and a rubber belt that drove a water wheel on the clock. Excuse after excuse! I went and got the clock to find that the gear was replaced but I am not sure since they then told me that the clock would not keep running. Not an issue when I brought the clock in. The rubber belt was also not replaced. They are not in their business, during their business hours, 50-60% of the time. read more

Took a schoolhouse clock in for repair in December,2015. After many return trips we were given our clock back in July, 2016 with instructions to call the manufacturer. Clock not repaired,in fact, we were told that the bezel was fixed but broken again in the shop. No charge but inordinate frustration. read more
