I have a 1979 Howard Miller Grandfather Clock that would stop at 1:21 am & pm. I would reset it and hope it worked, but NO - it stopped again. Called Time Standing Still on a Friday and they had an opening on Monday. Arrived on time, took the clock apart and for them it was an easy fix. Both Rose and Lloyd have expert knowledge of clocks. Lloyd took the clock apart and did a cleaning and had it back together and running again in about an hour. Very knowledgeable about my clock. Even wore gloves when working on the clock. Our clocks were damaged by smoke during the 2019 wildfire near Windsor, CA. My insurance agreed to the cleaning of my clocks as they were not easily replaced. I had two grandfather clocks and 5 cuckoo clocks. We went online and found a local company called "Time Standing Still". It was important to us to try to use a local company and support the local economy. I selected without reading Yelp reviews. That was a mistake as there was a review of another person that had problems getting their clocks repaired and returned. Our story is simple. Lloyd and Rose are great people and represented that the job could be done by Lloyd. They packed up my clocks on 1/20/2020. It took several months to get my grandfather clocks completed and returned. There was very little communication from them on why it was taking so long to get the clocks cleaned and returned. However, upon return, my grandfather clocks worked perfectly and kept great time. I was please with the job, but not with how long it took to get my grandfather clocks back. Little did I know I had not seen anything yet. I did receive two of my cuckoo clocks after about 18 months. The other three were not getting any attention. I actually had to go pick up the last three today on 1/12/2022, a full 2 years after they were picked up for repair. No work had been done on them. I will not recommend anyone get out-of-home service from this company. I am extremely disappointed. read more

Came out and fixed the grandmother clock, took a mantel clock and said it would take a year to repair on 12/14/15, Was fine with that. One year goes by and I called they said it was on the shelf and was moving it to the desk and would have it soon, that was in late January of 2017. I have called several times only to NOT get a return call and if you happen to catch them , it is, will check on it and get back to you. Here we are on 7/11/17 and still NO up date, NO Clock. NO NOTHING. I was very pleased with the repair of the grandmother clock but this mantel clock is another story. read more

Our grandfather clock circa 1800 was damaged when we moved from the coast to Sonoma county. Time standing still repaired it and it is accurate to within 10 seconds a month -not bad for something over 200 years old! I was referred to Lloyd and Rose by another clock repair shop because they are willing to travel, and I live some distance away from Santa Rosa. I emailed, and then Rose and I talked on the phone. I asked them to come up North and take a look at our pretty old, big, and never before serviced grandfather clock. Lloyd and Rose arrived right on time. Lloyd took one look at our clock and immediately knew just what to do. Lloyd is a clock specialist. Clocks are his passion. He inspired confidence in his ability from the very first time he checked our our clock. These folks are really fun to talk to, and not just about clocks. Lloyd is very knowledgeable, and Rose takes care of the paperwork end of the business. Turned out we needed a new movement. Lloyd showed me the problem. I think he enjoyed teaching me about the clock. He explained everything. They took the movement, and returned a few weeks later with a new movement that Lloyd had thoroughly tested before installing it into our clock.
