This was my second trip to this facility, and I am happy to report that it is clean, and the staff provided excellent service. The one frustration I have was the process for setting up the appointment, and going through the registration process. They had trouble finding the order of the Dr sent in and connecting that to my appointment, and they asked me to fill out paperwork when I arrived that I had already completed online. For this visit, I had the bone density scan, and mammogram, and that process was very efficient and as pleasant as can be under those circumstances. read more

The ease of setting up, checking in, and the appointment process was impressive at Simon Med. It can be nerve wracking trying to schedule an appointment especially for a mammogram, but the staff were super helpful, flexible, and persistent. I like that I was able to speak with one representative that handled the scheduling and when I needed to change my appointment I called her directly and was able to change it. I was running a little late, but this did not bother the staff and I was able to turn in my paperwork and be seen quickly. The technician that did my mammogram was very professional and kind. It's located in the CVS parking lot. In-between CVS and Firehouse subs. On Florence. Came in a Friday at 4 p.m. there were 2 people in the waiting room. I was greeted right away. I checked in for my appointment at 4:15. Since insurance doesn't cover the CT it was $85, they take cards. I had to answer some questions and was given 3 papers to fill out. I was called back at 4:10. I went to back was asked to confirm my b-day. Then we went to the CT room. Was in there for about 20 mins. While in CT it gives you audio directions on what to do. Results are suppose to be 3-5 days. After I finished the tech. said, "have a good weekend." I was very impressed on professionalism and how quick everything went. read more

Worst place to try to call or communicate. Call center is staff by people outside of USA and while they may speak English they do not understand English. Scheduled an ct scan 3/12/2025 and insurance denied and reschedule again after an successful appeal and we stooped in Simon med physical office and was told everything was fine for our appointment on 4/11/25. Arrived as scheduled and told denied by insurance. Called insurance and was told it was approved . Ended up calling Simon med 5 times only to get disconnected . Received copy of denied from Simon med dated 3/25/25 way before appeal which was dated 4/25/25. no one can explain anything or provide help or assistance. JMHO.... The tech for my my bone density x-ray was great, explained everything and took the time to answer any question I had. Waiting room is small with uncomfortable plastic chairs. While I was required to wear a mask which is not a problem, it's their facility they can make the rules. Absolutely no other covid protocols were observed, no wipe down of chairs in the waiting area, same with the reception counter where people were filling out forms and handing them in. While I am no medical professional seems like if all you're going to have me wear a mask and no other protocols, why bother? This is my only complaint, but for me it is a big one. The two individuals at the reception desk clearly did not want to be there and while the waiting room filled up while I was sitting there they did treat everyone else the same. Patients were ignored, treated with disdain and were rude enough to interfere with the employees conversations which obviously were more important then the patients. For my part I won't be troubling them again. In reviewing the most recent reviews this seems to be a pattern. For me it is hard to blame the employees at the reception desk as they have obviously not been trained any better which is a fault of management. Or maybe management just doesn't care either way I won't be back, nor will I recommend this site to anyone or should I ask or recommendation Again just my humble opinion. read more

I have had the worst experience with SimonMed Imaging specific the Casa Grande office and their Billing office. 1. In April 2022 I was scheduled for two MRI's by my neurologist. I call prior to visit to find out my out of pocket and was told with my insurance it would be $850.00, well I had a friend who had recently had an appointment and they told her the price for each MRI was $300.00 each so I ask why would I pay $850 for a tests when I could pay $600 for both private pay. So they update system to charge me $600.00 which I paid at time of service. 2. I was then ordered additional x-rays and CAT Scan end of May 2022 I ask what my cost would be with insurance and without I was told I could get in for at my appointment so I went and could not get an answer from them. They said we could do the test then figure it out I left office with them telling me they would get back to me with price and the could reschedule been over two weeks. 3. Today received text regarding my bill of over $1500 for April MRI's. Tried to call and got girl on phone that barely spoke English She transfer me then hung up tried to call back to office and machine said closed though hour showed open another 22 minutes. Bill reflected my $600.00 but no insurance bill as was private pay and was supposed to be full payment. 4. This office is a mess they eat and drink at desk and equipment visiting and laughing as patients wait. I was ask to ware a mask but staff sat at main reception eating with mask off. 5. My insurance is out of state but UHC with most companies large as SimonMed have National rates / contracts as well as they should have a posted private pay schedule. Can't get an honest answer at time of service. 6. Arizona has a surprise billing law that requrires companies to make consumers aware of out of medical expenses prior to service. Action: 1. To share on Facebook as medical companies should have to be honest with the public and you should know their reputation. 2. I will be calling my physicians / providers tomorrow to let them know of issues with this company and as I was in healthcare in Arizona for over thirty years to encourage them to use other providers. In Casa Grande location I was scheduled for imaging Mar 14. A call the night before said there was no tech available. Rescheduled for Mar 24. Received a message the morning of; No tech available. Rescheduled again for Apr 7. Received a confirmation email. I went inside and was told the tech was helping in another room and couldn't do my imaging. They said they tried to call me, but I received none. Also, my father had a scan scheduled last year and was told upon arrival there was no tech available. So had to reschedule. This is unacceptable to be treated this way. A lot of people are frightened by possible bad news and SMI needs to support them, not make their anxiety worse. Whatever the reasons are for such bad service, management needs to fix it. I will not return. read more

So, after posting my Yelp review on 05-03-23, SimonMed emailed me directly. They said they would reach out. I replied and gave them my phone number as they stated they wished to contact me. The following day, someone called and left a message and said they would call back later in the day. They did not. The message also stated they would call today, 05-05-23 if they couldn't reach me yesterday and they have not called. I did in the meantime receive an email from an unknown entity (change healthcare.com) acknowledging that they owe me a refund of $350.00 so I'm assuming this is it! The email stated, "Hello after reviewing your account I do see a refund for $350.00 it will be emailed to you as a check. Should take 3-4 weeks to receive it." UNBELIEVABLE!!!! This place has the worst receptionist/ front office staff that I have ever seen. I went in for my scheduled MRI. I am on crutches, arrive at the front desk and the 2 ladies behind the counter were chatting and clearly couldn't be bothered with my presence. They finished their conversation and then I was asked if they could help me. I stated I was checking in for my appointment and she asked for photo I.D. I told her I would have to sit down to get it out of my wallet, as I'm on crutches. So I asked if she could possibly get it from me in a moment. No answer. She just kept searching for something and had me waiting so I eventually said that I needed to go sit down as I can't stand on one leg very long. Then she tells me, "oh well your paper work is ready." I was already irritated at this point because obviously on crutches, I can not carry anything in my hands. So I told her as much and asked her to bring it to me in the waiting room. She sent someone out with it a couple of minutes later. I finish my paperwork and after the huge line goes down, I get back up to tell her that I've completed my paperwork but cannot bring it up to her, can someone come get it? She comes out all huffy and pissed off, doesn't say a word just takes the clipboard. Rude. Everything about this woman was rude. My appointment time comes and passes and I'm still waiting. Thirty minutes after my appointment time, I go back to the front desk and ask how much longer because my ride has to get back to work. She ignored me. Then another tech or nurse was there and tells her, "I think she's asking you a question." The girl is annoyed and looks in the computer and tells me I have the appointment time wrong. I know I don't but still you're late! The tech who took me back and performed the MRI was great! Super polite and helpful. When my ride came to check how much longer I would be, she told me she was treated the same way. The girl was annoyed to have to help anyone and apparently looking at her lunch menu was more important. Your front office staff seriously needs help! I only came to this office because it's where my Workman's comp insurance sent me. If I had any choice at all, I would stay away. If I need further imaging in the future, I'll wait until my adjuster finds a different approved location. read more

These people can not get their billing and copays right. I have a $50 copay and they have told me twice that my copays were $700 & $900. I would give 0 stars if possible! My wife has been waiting for over two weeks for a MRI. They have canceled the appointment's citing insurance approval and stated they contacted her each time to cancel (they did NOT). I explained I do not need authorization which they should have in my records since I have been there on several occasions. Either way I called my insurance company and they gave me the authorization code they sent to Simon Med. After two hours on the phone the Simon Med billing department said the code wasn't good enough but did call my insurance company while I was on hold and received authorization. I was then given a new appointment. When she responded this morning they told her she would be billed $995 since they didn't have approval. We asked the. To contact their own billing department but they refused. While she was there the office was a disaster. Over 6 people were waiting over 2 hours just for X-rays and they were told if they left to come back there appointment would be cancelled. I tried to call once more but after being on hold for another 2 hours I hung up and made an appointment with your competitor. I tried leaving a review on Google but you would not allow reviews. Was asked to check in 30Mins before appt to do paperwork. When checked was notified that they were running behind that I could either wait or reschedule. They have already rescheduled twice already and I need surgery ASAP. I asked how far behind they were. She said 30 mins. So I left cane back 30 mins later. While the lobby is full of people waiting to be seen and telling me it's always like this I check yelp and see it's not an isolated incident it's how their practice is running. Do not go to this facility. Their staff is a bunch of unprofessional idiots and you will end up paying for their ineptitude. They made my appt for an MRI for a week out and said they would get pre approval from my insurance company and said if they didn't get it before the appt they would call me to reschedule. They never even called to confirm my appt and when I got there they told me that it hadn't been approved yet and they would just call me when they heard something. Come to find out, they hadn't even contacted my insurance company until my appointment time while I was sitting in their office. If I could sue them for the cost of fuel and my time I would. I went here for the first time this month for my mammogram. Yes there is a wait time and paperwork to fill out but that is expected in any business. I dread having these exams but this facility took its time to explain their method and were very gentle. In the past I had experienced bruising but not at this facility. I had to return for a 3-d imaging, less paperwork this time and a very little wait time. the front desk personnel are courteous with at least one waiting on arrivals and collecting of co pays. I have had transactions with at least three of the back technicians now and all are polite, informed and making sure to tell you if the wait time will be longer than expected. In this type of business where they e-mail to one doctor for readings and then to clarify if more tests are needed, it is difficult to have set waiting times.
