My negative review is more about the SimonMed company rather than this specific location. My bad experience was the fault of their central customer service or scheduling staff. I've had a nice experience with the staff at this location for imaging needs. Here's the issue I had the past week: I've had a brain scan appointment scheduled and reschedule 3 separate times due to errors or mistakes on the part of SimonMed. It's been so frustrating that I asked my neurologist to refer me to another company for my brain scan. Even though this may push out the scan further than with SimonMed, I cannot give them my business based on principle now. read more

Which I have had many times for blood clots. it's a little uncomfortable, this time the pain was unbearable. Technician tried many times to fine my vein. Would give zero stars if I could. Start with offshore call center for scheduling. First rep put me on hold for 40 minutes then hung up and transferred to a survey so call was not disconnected. Called back and explained what my needs were. Took another hour and a half to find "right location" with correct machines to fill doctor's orders. Waited for weeks for the day and took less medication and endured pain to be ready for test. Only to get a call the morning of the test to be told they don't have the correct machines at this location. Attitude of staff are so uncaring and dismissive. Just told I should go to a hospital. Do yourself a favor and find an alternative test company. read more

As someone who has had a lot of MRI's i my life of my lower back, I have had a lot of experiences to critique imaging services. Sadly, this last visit yesterday was not good. The following issues are signs of laziness and a lack of caring by the technicians doing the imaging. 1) Cleanliness sucks - I have never ever been slid into such a visually dirty MRI imager. The surface I was looking at had dirt, uncleaned adhesives from who knows what and when, and evidence of who knows what. When I told the tech, he was clueless and appeared shocked. A sign that obviously no one goes into the imager to clean the surfaces. It probably has never been done. 2) Attitude of the Tech - Although the tech seemed nice throughout the visit, I am not sure if it was laziness (maybe why the machine was so dirty), or he just didn't care. Again, I was there due to lower back pain/issues, as indication on the form which he saw. At no time was there any attempt to offer assistance or support to sit, lay down, or position myself on the table. And there was no attempt in getting off the table when doe beyond, )hold on, let me lower it for you!" It was not easy for me and just a supporting hand would have been appreciated and I would not be writing this. In addition, there are few smooth surfaces transitioning from the table to the structure making trying to scoot on and off not very pleasant. Again, no assistant from the tech. Not sure of the techs name but he was a bigger fella with a long straggly beard. 3) Office staff upfront was fine, no issues there. However, and this is more of a corporate issue. There are about three (3) Simon Meds in the area. The phone text reminders they send you identify the location by name only but fail to include an address. I am not familiar with the names of the shopping centers or office building given. And the phone number is to a call center, not the center you are going to, the operator is totally clueless to give you any directions. This is my last time I will opt to go to Simon Med and especially this location. read more

The employees at the facility were excellent and the wait was short. However, making an appointment is not very easy. The "probably outsourced" representative was a little hard to understand, but the line had so much static that it was difficult to clearly hear. This is typical of past appointments I have made. The representative was quite good, other than having to repeat things often due to the bad telephone line. She provided preparation instructions and indicated I could also find the instructions online. Wrong! When I clicked on "preparations" on Simon Med's website, they did not exist. I think this company has become so big, with a focus on making more money, that they are forgetting about customer "total" satisfaction!! read more

Every other place I've gone to, I've been in and out in 15 minutes. I've been here over 30 minutes and am still waiting to finish checking in (and it's not busy!) - they seem to have a conversation they needed to finish. I know working with the public (and everyone is sure they met their deductible) is not easy, but I'd that's your job.....you know. This place is awful. I made my original appt for a Tuesday at 3:30 pm a few days later someone calls ME and tells me that the tech leaves at 3 so I need to reschedule, Ok no big deal right? So we reschedule for the next week on Thursday. Wednesday afternoon they call my husband, how they got his phone number I don't know, cause I didn't put it anywhere, to tell him that they double booked me and they need to reschedule me AGAIN. but they didn't call me!!! He told them they need to call me, They did not. So I show up for my appt and the ladies at the front desk are talking to each other, Is this the one you were talking about? As soon as I said my name, they knew what was going to happen. And on top of that they wanted to charge me then with not seeing the tech and getting the mammogram done! Pay for what???? This is the 3rd separate SimonMed location we've tried now and I am honestly impressed how they consistently find the most rude, useless employees in the health care industry. There was absolutely no one at the desk when I walked in and for several minutes after. The staff acted as if I was bothering them by walking in the door when they finally did arrive. I needed an x-ray and was told there was one person ahead of me so it shouldn't take long...it took 45 minutes. Now, 5 days later my doctor still hasn't received the results, so I had to call them only to find out they didn't bother to send the results over. read more

If only you could give negative stars! Where do we begin... So I have a script for a Covid-related X-Ray. Not wanting to sit in a waiting room while sick, I call to see if I may make an appointment. I am told it is not necessary. Come on over! So far so good. I ask if there is a wait. Again, I am told no appointment necessary, chest X-Rays are fast and can be done in between appointments. So I drive my sick ol' self over and sign in, present my ID, insurance card and prescription. I am then asked to have a seat and wait. Not wanting to be in the waiting room with others, I ask how long the estimated wait would be. I am told it will be about 3 HOURS!! Yep, 3 hours!!! So I ask if I may make an appointment to return as I don't feel comfortable waiting in an enclosed room with non-sick visitors for 3 hours. I am told I can not make an appointment. I then volunteer to wait at home, as I literally live one block away - I can see my house from their location. I am told that if I leave I will lose my place in line. I then reiterate that not only would I not be waiting for 3 hours in the enclosed wait room, but that it is probably not a good idea to have me wait. I offer to return in 2.5 hours and can even call periodically to see my place in line. Again, I am less than 5 minutes away. To my happy surprise they agree to allow me to wait at home and call in to check my place in line. I am even given a "direct" number to call AND they take my number to call me shall my turn come up earlier. Greatly relieved I head home and start calling every 15 minutes after an hour and a half - voice mail every time. So after 2 hours I decide to just head back as I can wait in my car until called. I walk into the office to let them know I'll be right outside only to be informed that "I was just called". Great! I'm here I say. Unfortunately, they actually didn't call on the phone, just looked in wait room and called my name. Apparently, only a few minutes ago. Fantastic! I say. I am here so good timing on my part, though my phone was never called. A few dumbfounded head scratches later and am told they thought they called my phone (didn't), but will go check and see on a wait time. I am then told that the wait time would be 2 hours! Bye bye! The story does have a happy ending. On my way out, I called another facility (rhymes with "smile") and they were happy to give me a set time to come over and within 5 minutes of my arrival I was getting X-rayed! Avoid Simon at all costs! There are other facilities available and they accept the script from your doctor even if it says Simon Med on it! read more

For the past year I have been dealing with issues related to scheduling and the front desk at the Copperpoint location. Today I spent 45 minutes waiting on the phone while the scheduling agent was continously "Checking" on appointment times. While she was polite, she was very uninformed and could not provide me with any solutions that fit my time frame. I had scheduled an online appointment as I was asked to do over email. For some reason the option I selected, while it came up as the doctor's order when scheduling, was incorrect. I did not know that until today. Ok so I then contacted Inez that I had spoken with before and in our conversation she began to talk down to me and was extremely rude. In our conversation in a very snarky voice, she said "Well then I will just explain it to you!" I questioned why it allowed me to schedule online in the first place. I was provided with the excuse that it might bring up old orders when trying to schedule online. That made no sense. At the conclusion of the conversation, she said "Well, I will just tell your doctor that you refused to travel so we didn't schedule." After over an hour on the phone I hung up. My next call was to another provider where I was able to make an appointment. I should have gone there first. read more

Horrible office experience. I arrived at 3:30 pm on 9/19 and the receptionist who checked me in took my payment for an x-ray. No one else was in the waiting room. I waited over an hour and saw people who came in after me be seen before me. I went to the counter to ask if I was still going to be seen since they close at 5pm. The girl said the xray tech had already left for the day. Unbelievable! This is absolutely unacceptable. A waste of my time and money! I needed my results (after the 3day wait it would take to read a simple xray! Ugh) for an appointment- portal was not working properly, link that they sent me for updates would not work, customer service would not help me and stated I needed to email and wait days for a response. X-ray is walk-in only. Appointments required for everything else, but not a basic x-ray. That is not the fault of this location, it's SimonMed corporate policy. Which I think is stupid. We actually went to the Spectrum location first, but they had a 90 minute wait. This place had no one in line (the folks at Spectrum called for us), so we came here. Tech was friendly and efficient. There was a bit of attitude when they brought my CD up to the desk because they had a paper for me to sign, but I'm on crutches so my wife offered to sign. No reason to give her attitude (it was a facial expression of annoyance). If it weren't for that I would have gone to 4 stars. Not busy, new facilities, efficient tech. In and out quickly. read more

I received an X-ray at this office on 5/5/23. I paid $180.00 that day as required, supposedly for my out-of-pocket expense. On 5/25/23 my EOB was issued from UHC indicating that the ALLOWED AMOUNT per my plan was only $113.98. I am now on hold - calling for the 5th time to find out where my refund is. I can never speak to a supervisor. Requests to have a supervisor call me are not fulfilled. On 9/20/23 I was told that the check was cut on 9/5/23 and that I had to wait 30 days to receive it. Today, 10/16/23 after 27 minutes, I am told I have to wait 7-10 days for a response to an escalated email she is writing today. On my 5th phone call!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - BE WARNED! read more

Worst experience trying to schedule a appointment! Once I finally got thru after waiting 20 minutes to talk to a person in a different country I made my appointment. Hung up the phone and got my confirmation for my appointment, it was a totally different time and day then what he told me on the phone! Then I messaged with someone on their site and he got me back to the right time an day that I was originally scheduled for. Day of appointment I go to the location I was scheduled for the line to check in took 20 minutes and when it's my turn she tells me I need to go to the other location because they don't have a MRI machine at this location. I go to other location down the road get checked in the staff who did my X-rays and mri were all nice and quick but I will never come back here if I can avoid it! read more

I made an appointment for an ultrasound. Upon arrival the front desk woman told me it would be $200 plus dollars after insurance. Last ultrasound cost me about $35. They were looking me up under the wrong insurance. My choice now is to leave my credit card for them to charge me "after insurance is billed" or wait for verification. I don't trust them so I've been sitting here for 45 minutes. Just got called up and they say my portion is $149. I still don't think it is right. I will update when I get my EOB. Update. They were great. I brought in my request and the doctor was using a previous one with an additional note. They called the doctor to verify that it was correct. I appreciate their concern with accuracy. Within a few minutes of getting the verification I was called by the technician. He asked questions to verify my medical situation and then explained what he was going to do and why and demonstrated how I was to position myself for the x-rays. Received 3 invoices requesting payment for the same service when I actually was overcharged at the facility. Billing Department said they will resolve it and after 3 calls (15 minute + hold time) and 4 months later I am still receiving invoices and have not been reimbursed. read more

I did not have a good experience here. I arrived and they couldn't find my order, said they called my docs office then no answer so they couldn't do mri. I said let me call- took me 5 min tops . I'm a bit claustrophobic but I felt my tech, who had just complained about the previous patient taking an hour and 20 min instead of 20 had no communication during the mri. I have had previous where they were super kind telling be how long not to move, etc. when I first got there she's said are you sure you want to do this? I felt she was just done from the previous and was on no mood to deal with me . I asked how much longer and she said basically we have to start all over- you moved your hands - didn't know I couldn't it was for my neck. At the end she said are you just having a bad day? Claustrophobic? She said you need to hav meds, I said I did a Valium she said well you should have done 2- Done! I have done successful MRIs for two previous knee replacements so yes I'm claustrophobic but no communication during the mri didn't help. read more

This place has been an absolute nightmare and we haven't gotten passed scheduling yet! They scheduled the WRONG SCAN FOR CANCER NOT ONCE BUT TWICE. Originally scheduled in Dec they wait until two days before his appt to call and tell us they scheduled the wrong thing. The guy that called even said he knew it was wrong but thought someone would've reached out in the two weeks before. We schedule again (only going here because of his doctor otherwise NEVER would've chanced it) And guess what it's wrong again after we've called multiple times to make sure and it took a week for anyone to get back to us. Supposedly they now have the correct scan scheduled. Never ever using them again. The gross incompetence is pure insanity. read more

Actually going to SimonMed and getting an xray wasn't too bad the tech was very nice and took good xrays, it was afterwards when they tried to charge me that was crappy. I paid $75 for my xrays and didn't use my insurance when I walked in and then I get a notification for a bill of $400 from SimonMed a month later. The representative on the phone didn't catch that I paid when I got my xrays and kept fighting me about the bill , someone in their financial hardship department did when I reached out after the representative couldn't help me on the phone. I went to the location on Val Vista. Be careful and save your receipts because they might try to bill you later like they did to me. Their billing department needs more training for sure, this is not okay to do to your patients . I probably will not be using SimonMed in the future again for this very reason. read more
