In March I had to be transported to the ER. My body lost almost all the fluids that is needed to keep one alive. I was seizing. They had the and lights going speeding to the Hospital. I was scared, especially when they took me into a room as soon as I got there. That was my 2nd Emergency, at least major one. I April I had another emergency yet my daughter insisted we ho to Banner E. Their nursing staff spoke ill of me right outside my room. I was like WOW I can you! I complained and I coukd the conversation between the charge nurse and the nurse. He said I asked to many questions and was bothering him. Yes, I had a lot of questions and I had to use the restroom a lot. I have epilepsy. No apologies nothing. I was then transfered to another floor. Originally I was on the 4th floor and they sent me to the 2nd floor. They do not do such as I stayed there 2x prior. The solution was to remove the patient so the nurse could go back to playing around with the CNA and other nurses or on the phone with his wife! Abrazo West is my choice...they are so professional. Upon arrival, the receptionist was polite but a bit dry, not as welcoming as I've experienced at other locations. The technician who performed my imaging was very kind, friendly, and informative, which I appreciated. However, I was a little taken aback when I entered the exam room and noticed another patient's gown still sitting on the bench -- it made me question whether the rooms are cleaned thoroughly between appointments. Overall, my experience was decent, but I may consider returning to my previous location in the future.

The MRIs, the x-rays, and the technicians who handle both are professional and courteous. They explain what's going on and how the testing will proceed. Unfortunately, the doctor who read my MRI scan, I believe, is the dumbest in Arizona. Not sure how this radiologist observed an organ in my body and documented that there were no issues with it when the organ was removed 33 years ago, so either there was a miracle, thank you God, or this doctor is not very good at what he does. The doctor also recommended no further assessment or treatment for a cyst that was observed, which could very well be true. However, if it has not been biopsied or looked at, how can this doctor make that recommendation without knowing my prior scans? I am sure there are other radiologists, but I would not touch this particular one with a 10-foot pole. because of this, I removed two stars.

On Jan 17th Insight Imaging insisted that we pay $450.16 for an MRI although I knew it was covered by our insurance. They required this payment before we left the facility or they would not release the results of the MRI. I explained that our copay was $30 for this service but they still insisted that we pay the full amount. In fact the receptionist argued with me and said I just did not know how my insurance worked. Seven days later on 1/24 they were paid in full by my insurance company. My explanation of benefits confirmed that I was right and was only supposed to pay $30.00. Over 2 months later we still had not even been notified by this office that they were overpaid and that we were due a refund of $420.16. It took a call from me (3/20) to question the overpayment to which their reply was that we had a $420.16 credit on our account. This error and over-billing to my Healthcare Flexible Spending Account caused my account to be frozen until the credit is made to my account. Still waiting on this to occur. Again - AVOID AT ALL COSTS - This offices' complete disregard for the patient and simple greed is despicable.

I made my first appt, but got Dr. Sun sadly. The front desk and staff are amazing! They are so sweet and always smiling. I waited inside the room for about an hour and Dr. Sun comes in and it went exactly like this, "Congratulations! So the baby is too small to see or do anything. You have to come back a few weeks for another appt. Any questions?" I was baffled. I was like, "that's it?" I waited over an hour for you to tell me that?! The nurse couldn't have told me that and saved me that hour I just lost? He was not a people person and you can tell he was in a hurry to get me out of there. As soon as I got home, I told my husband about it and gave the place a call to change doctor. The next visits are all with Dr. Howard. He is amazing! I still wait about an hour in the room to see him, but once you see him, you will understand why! He takes his time to explain, chat with you, and let you see the baby thru ultrasound. He makes it fun! He does not rush. One time he got a phone call while he was seeing me, and he told the staff "I'll be right there" and still took his time to answer me and my husband's questions. He is great! The ultrasound techs are also nice. I especially like the male ultrasound tech, he takes his time and really explains to you what you are seeing. I've been with the female tech and she was in such a hurry, I was sad because I wanted to see my baby a little longer. The male tech was also able to tell me the gender at 13 weeks. The gender was confirmed by the doctor at 16 weeks, so that tech is awesome! Lastly, they were having issues with my insurance but it was all handled timely and professionally which is a major plus because this pregnant lady does not need anymore stressors. So if you plan on going to this place, make sure you get Dr. Howard! Be prepared to be seen by a lot of med students (I personally do not mind, they have to learn somehow), and be prepared to wait over an hour (it's worth it especially when I see my baby on the ultrasound). Update: Ironically, 39 weeks later and Dr. Sun was the one who helped me give birth. He was the on-call doctor at the time. He was very nice and he knows what he's doing. I had to get a lot of stitches and I think he did a good job because it healed pretty fast.

I called to make follow and was told I had a six month appt and rude reception would not listen . i ask to speak with office mgr and the call was disconnected I called back several time and when they picked my call it was disconnected. When I got there I told them that my doctor wanted the results immediately and to call him after the MRI. After the MRI was done I told them again my doctor was waiting for the results and they told me the radiologist left and I would have the results on Monday. I should have gone to the emergency room instead of driving an hour to get there. They told me my doctor didn't say it was stat and it was written on the order and they informed them when they made the appointment. Very bad patient care.

I have never had a night appointment for an MRI -- or any appointment for that matter -- but last…read morenight I did at Banner Imaging Estrella, and it was, by far, the best medical experience I have ever had. From the moment I walked in, I felt something different. I was immediately greeted by Alma at the front desk. Even though she was assisting another patient, she acknowledged me right away. Her spirit seemed to beam through the glass. Her smile, her tone, and the way she welcomed me made me feel seen and valued within seconds of arriving. I was early for my appointment, so I sat in the lobby -- but I didn't wait long at all. Soon, I was called back by Jocelyn. Her voice was calming, gentle, and incredibly kind. She provided the garments I needed for my MRI and reassured me that they would be with me shortly. There was something so comforting in her presence. Then I was introduced to Abby, the MRI technologist. She, too, carried that same kind and gentle spirit. Abby and Jocelyn worked together to help my tiny self get positioned into the machine, treating me with patience and dignity every step of the way. Before beginning, Abby asked what kind of music I would like to listen to during the procedure. "Smooth jazz," I replied. Throughout the entire MRI, she communicated clearly with me, explaining what was happening and checking in along the way. While this wasn't my first MRI and my situation wasn't life-threatening, it was absolutely my first experience receiving such outstanding, compassionate service. If anyone out there feels anxious or hesitant about undergoing an MRI, I would encourage you to visit this location. The care, warmth, and professionalism of these three remarkable young women truly transformed what can often be a stressful experience into something peaceful and reassuring.
