Simon med will not order previous images for comparison. They want you to come back for diagnostic imaging when a simple comparison might mean this isn't necessary. When you try to talk with someone about the issue the only person available is a scheduler. I tried multiple times. I acquired my previous scans myself and am going to walk them in. Hopefully the will do a comparison. read more

First, we (husband and wife) haven't used SimonMed for a long period of time (over 6 years) however, accidentally, we've both had radiology exams called in by physicians who did not know we don't go there. AND trying to get these 'accidental' appointments cancelled has proven to be difficult. And even AFTER getting one CNX'd, we still got 'text messages' reminding us. Many per week. So you have a medical establishment that 'dispenses' ionizing radiation in various forms (which can be, we the errant wrong adjustment, dangerous) not being able to process the cancellations. And perhaps "only" the office staff is so afflicted but one must consider. What if the people setting up the MRI, CT, X-Ray and so forth are as "incompetent"? Upon calling again to cancel, the staff seemed confused, could not retain a given phone number or street address. It is sad to think of people going thru life so encumbered but I guess... We haven't and won't use SimonMed Imaging (the Prescott office is the one we were sent to and to whom I spoke). read more

Is there a zero rating? I went in for a lower abdominal CT scan with contrast as I'm in a great deal of pain. They were 20 minutes late taking me back. Then two different techs tried to insert an IV and blew six veins before I told them I needed to leave. They said I could wait a week for my veins to heal and they'd reschedule me. One of them said, "we're sorry we did our best." They we're extremely rough and had no touch. If that's their best they should be working in a butcher shop. I told them I'd never be coming back there. read more

The people that run this clinic don't know their left hand from their right. Scheduled me for two imaging procedures with no time to complete the first before you have to have the 2nd procedure causing me to not get the first procedure. Had to cancel it after making the appt 45 days ago. The back office doesn't know what is required for a breast MRI and the front desk people tell me I am required to get contrast when the prescription says no contrast! The black haired chick at the front desk is so rude and indignant I will never ever go back! Go to Dignity Health they don't treat you like crap. Wow, what a day. I received multiple messages this morning reminding me of my appointment today, only to arrive and learn that the Simon Med system had been down durning the morning and that the MRI machine was having issues. This meant my 12:00 appointment really going to be at 1:00 or 1:30. At 2:00 I wanted to get an update and told I was next. At 3:30 I checked my status again, only to hear I was next. Not eating or drinking before my scan i was now lightheaded and famished. Other MRI patients arrived after me, all being told the same thing I heard, they were running late. It seemed insincere to me that new people arriving after 2;00 were not being given the option of rescheduling, not knowing if the MRI machine was not working. At 3:30 I told the girls at the desk I had to go out to my car and get something for my headache and see if I had something I could eat. Shortly after that I was going to the front desk to reschedule when my name was finally called. Needless to say you all understand why I'm giving this post 1 star. No obvious appreciation for the patients time. One couple who came in at 12:30 was in there 90's, the chairs were uncomfortable and there was no TV or music just a few magazines. At 3:30 they decided they had to go eat and rescheduled. So much for customer service. read more

Went to Prescott Simon Med for knee x-rays. I'd been experiencing pain and difficulty walking for quite a while. I was using a cane and the office staff took me right away. The results came back within a few days, stating my knees were normal. Confused, I went somewhere else for a second opinion. They said I have osteoarthritis and started me on cortisone shots. I already feel better... I'm not happy about this! read more

The customer service here is abominable! I had an 11am MRI appt. and when I arrived was informed the machine was down and they said it may be an hour wait. By 2pm it was still down but NO ONE had the courtesy to keep us informed so we could decide whether we wanted to wait forever! They should have called the people who had appointments! This is the second time they have done this! First time their tech couldn't come in and no one had the courtesy to call and tell me! I would never recommend them! Totally incompetent! read more

Took an apt at this location because they could get me in sooner than PV. The staff was nice and they took me back on time but they told me they called my insurance and it would be $100 for an ultrasound, even though I've had one before and my copay is $10. Turns out my claim says I only owed $10, like I told them, but it's been almost 3 months and I still haven't been refunded my $90! PV never gets my copays wrong, I should have listened to other reviews about the Prescott location and stayed away! Won't be going here ever again. read more

SimonMed in Prescott is actually overall very good, however one thing I do not like is the "walk-in" x-rays. You cannot schedule a time for an x-ray. Therefore, you go in and end up waiting, sometimes for an hour or better. It's like your time or type of appointment isn't important. My husband had just had hip replacement surgery. His leg is supposed to be elevated with ice. Yet he's sitting in a chair with his leg down waiting and waiting and waiting. It's ridiculous!!!!! X-rays should be scheduled just the same as any other appointments!!!! read more

My complaint is about billing. I had an MRI of the brain done in goodyear, Az on Dec 12,2023. I received a bill stating Medicare denied the claim. I went on the Medicare website and did not see where medicare had been billed. I called Medicare and they didn't see it either. I then called the Simon Med billing department and the very nice lady I spoke to said she doesn't see where Medicare was billed either. They did bill my Medigap insurance which didn't obviously pay either. I then gave the lady in billing my medicare number and she said she would take care of it. I have gone on the medicare website several times and still do not see the billing for this. All my insurance information was given when I arrived at my appointment. I do not wish to have any problems. This needs to be taken care of. ASAP. read more

I would highly encourage you to never go to this imaging center and if you have the choice to always go to a urgent care. Firstly, SimonMed had TERRIBLE LOW QUALITY X-rays where it made it appear like my fracture wasn't that bad. With that X-ray, I essentially made the decision to not do surgery because it didn't look bad. What a grave mistake. Now over two years later my hand is in constant pain from the surgeon never even doing reduction. As the surgeon is also to blame, I felt the X-rays were super washed out. Additionally, they have NO ONE there to discuss your X-ray. They send it off by email to some guy at a desk to send the report to your provider or surgeon. I tried to ask a question to the X-ray tech and he basically said he couldn't say anything. So what do they go to school for? He couldn't tell me it's a transverse break at the proximal phalanx. He couldn't tell me that will probably need surgery ASAP. No he didn't say anything. Alls the report said was the joint seemed to be spared and other than that it was a fracture. Maybe it's protocol but I find it absurd they don't have someone to ask questions. I bet you get much better treatment from a urgent care than SimonMed. Take a look at the pics you will see a major difference between SimonMed image and the others. Maybe I got a new X-ray tech and he didn't know what he was doing but I wish I went to urgent care. I would've seen the break more clearly and took it more serious and had surgery. Now I have a crooked finger and haven't played guitar since. Also if you have a finger or hand injury I'd highly recommend against Dr. Pifer in Prescott and Dr. Lee Richardson. Both we're terrible and rude. I'd go to Phoenix if I were you. read more

Some folks are extremely generous with their ratings of Simon Medical. Because of their screwup, I have spent no less than 8 hours on the phone because this company! They have people in their billing department that are "unable to look at my account to figure out the transactions" on my account. They have no one in their department or on line that can answer a simple question. Supervisors are not available. Not one since January has bother to return my call to get this cleared up. "Please answer what transactions were done on my account since January 5th this year." They were over paid and I have been unable to get my money returned in 2 1/2 months. Their employees get paid. I don't when I have to clean up their mess with medicare. Still not completed! RIDICULOUS! read more

Had an appointment in March for Simon Med IN PRESCOTT at 1:30. Waited an hour even though they had 4 people in front desk. At one hour asked and was told it would be at least another half hour to 45 min. Then left. WAS NEVER GOING BACK. read more

I am not sure why the rating is so low for this place. In the last few weeks I have had several images takes here and start to finish I had a great experience. Front desk ladies were super nice and helpful. I even called the 866 number and they patched me through to this location. All the techs I have dealt were friendly and explained everything. Do yourself a favor-do not use SimonMed Imaging. I had a CT scan scheduled that needed to be done prior to a Dr. appointment. They called me a day before the CT scan appointment and told me it would be 150.00 cash payment and they would not bill my insurance or I would have to wait 2 weeks until the insurance company got back to them with approval for the CT scan. I called Prescott Medical Imagining and they will do the CT scan and bill my insurance. had SimonMed Imaging fax my order to Prescott Medical Imaging and will have the service completed in a timely manner. read more

Miserable and incompetent is the best I can offer for a review. They don't answer their phones or put you on hold for so long you give up. They do have an option to have someone call back, tried it at least 6 times and never got a call back. This was all in an attempt to get the required preapproval thru my insurance for an MRI. They were sent the correct info. from my doctor but failed to get approval over a weeks' time. I kept calling my insurance and they told me if submitted it would have been turned around in 24 hours. The day before my scheduled appointment I gave up and sent an email to the only address listed on their site. if I did not receive confirmation of approval immediately consider the appointment cancelled just in case these idiots tried to bill me for not showing up. They also offer texting thru the main number, tried that, got nothing but computer auto replies. I did try sending my letter to their chat site, sat on that for about 45 minutes, when they just about got to my place in the cue it flashes no agents available and disconnects me. Here's the real laugh to this mess. One hour before my appointment I received a call from Ruben who was now trying to get my insurance taken care of, yes one hour before the appointment. Needless to say, he received an earful. I am absolutely baffled how they are still in business. I pulled up yelp reviews from other cities they have location in. I had a positive experience getting my X-rays and MRI done, however; the billing system for Simon Med has been extremely frustrating. Following my appointments, I've received various bills from SimonMed that all differ in the amount due. I called their customer service department multiple times to determine how much I actually owe and they couldn't tell me either (you cannot call the office directly, you must speak to a foreigner from an unknown location). I then went to the office in-person and they told me I owe $0.00 and they were missing receipts for some of the payments I had been making to their customer service department ( Am I being stolen from?)!? They gave me an email address to contact, but I've never heard back from them after reaching out several times. In conclusion, I would never go to this facility again unless there's absolutely no other option. I still have no idea if I owe money or I'm owed money. read more

I scheduled my CT scan last Wednesday (10/19/22). This morning (10/24/22), I received a message to create an account to sign some forms. Their system WOULD NOT allow me to create an account, so I used their chat system to figure out what was wrong. I was told that they submitted the information to Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and they didn't receive a response. BCBS told me that they hadn't received ANYTHING from SimonMed, with nothing in process. I called SimonMed again: this time they told me that they were missing the actual procedure order, which I was happy to scan & email. Had I been told this when I made the appointment, the procedure would not have needed to be rescheduled! I give SimonMed an "F" for failing to tell me that they needed the referral order, necessitating the rescheduling. read more

This has to do with scheduling. Impossible! There is a central scheduling department. They are able to general information and schedule. I had specific questions about the type of MRI units available, but could not get any information about what type of unit I would qualify. The staff answering the for the central scheduling department are nice, but limited to general information only. Twice two different schedulers tried to connect with me with Prescott Simon Med. One could not get through. The second scheduler connected me, but after 7 rings I was disconnected. Business must be good because it is difficult to obtain more than routine scheduling and general information. There was a time that Simon Med has a facility in Cottonwood, AZ. It was excellent, but times have changed. read more

Would give them a zero stars if it would let me. The poorest excuse for am imaging company!! Lazy, uncaring, dangerous. They don't read all of the information you fill out when you go in. Said they would call back twice and didn't. Went in for a mammogram on Sept 10, 2019. After 8 days still didn't have a report. Finally got one that was supposedly dated 9/17 from MOM (mobile onsite imagingat said I needed more imaging. But my Dr never received a copy. They called me 2x to get my dr name-even though it was on the paperwork I filled out in the beginning when I went in. When I got a copy of the report it said they had not bothered to compare it to my prior mammogram. Who does that??? I'm 70. And tell you you need more imaging. It was on my paperwork that my prior mammograms were at MOM. Guess they wanted to make more $$-too bad if I had to have more radiation. I called MOM which had now very unfortunately merged with Simon Med and they sent the prior films right over and called them. They stayed on top of them and I finally got my results after 4 today 9/19/19 from MOM. All ok. Simon Med had told me I could come in and pick up the report as soon as it was done that they would call me. I'm still waiting!! They put me through hell and didn't care what I was going through and didn't care if the report was accurate. They should be put out of business. I also had a prior problem with this location. I had a 3T MRI of the brain done at this location yesterday (Saturday, 07/03/21). They were extremely kind and personable. Yet professional at the same time. I loved that I was able to do everything online ahead of time as well. When I arrived I didn't have to do anything at all. The MRI technician was very kind to me and careful helping me from my wheelchair onto the machine bed. I'm a tad claustrophobic, so he gave me a cloth to put over my eyes. After the scan was completed, he helped me up, and waited with me until I wasn't dizzy anymore. Then helped me back into the wheelchair. I had to transfer from my wheelchair to an MRI safe wheelchair when he brought me back. He not only helped me back into the MRI safe wheelchair, but also helped me back into my own. I also love that they have hours on Saturday available. I can't drive so I depend on my mother and mother-in-law to take me to my appointments. Saturday's are perfect because my mother-in-law is off that day! Thank you the team at SimonMed-Prescott! I highly recommend them if you live in the area . read more

I had a fabulous Customer Service experience with the Gail Gardner location of SimonMed. My husband has gone the previous day for back xrays - got his files on a CD and gave the CD to me to open and review the xrays. I have done this multiple times in the past - from both SimonMed and other facilities and I know how to extract and open the program that allows viewing of the files - it didn't work - and the program would not open - something got corrupted - so .... I called SimonMed and explained my challenge - they actually listened, took the time to research an alternate method and provided me with a website where I could download the program for viewing - all while I waited on the phone - so within 15 minutes I had a total resolution to my problem. Fabulous! I could only wish that more businesses would provide such quality Customer Service any more. Hats off to SimonMed for their fabulous customer service. Note: SimonMed requests reviews on Google or Facebook, but I do not use either - but wanted to make sure and the world know has happy I am with SimonMed. read more

I can't get a person on the phone, and 2 different times, I opted out for the return call. They have NEVER called back. When I finally got a human, they asked me to make an appointment online, so I did. I arrived early, but they were not even open! My appointment was at 7:30 and they open at 8:30! Even after the wait, they said that they have to "verify" my choice of appointment, and someone never did that, so it was a wasted trip. Someone here NEEDS to be more professional and accountable. I am "Pain Patient", and traveling into town for nothing was So REDICULUS! Now, I call the insurance company, and they provide a ride for me. That way, they pay for SimonMed mistakes instead of me! I had two types of exams done and wanted to have a copy of my results. I asked for them the day of the exam and Monique at the desk said that it would take five minutes, plus the one exam results were not ready for me to take a cd yet. I told her I'd come back the next day to pick them both up. When I came in the next day they were no where to be found. Monique was not available to find them. So I had to sit and wait while Jessica kindly started burning the copies I needed. Thanks Jessica! But I really didn't have the time to wait which is why I said I would come back the next day! Also on the day of my exam, Monique must not have been having a very good day because she was very short and curt with me. I am really upset with this company. In December of last year I called and made a appointment with them asking about the price of each test. I was quoted a price of a little over $350.00 for all four tests and that was with my insurance. That was in my budget and I was assured that that would cove all the tests. I would have canceled those I could not afford. When I arrived and went to do the paperwork I was told that it would be over $550.00 but they could do it on a payment plan and that they had worked very hard to get my insurance company "Blue Cross, Blue Shield," to cover everything else. That I accepted and signed the contract for that amount only. Now in April they sent me a new bill for $747.00 dollars more after the original bill has finally been paid off. This is unacceptable! They have lied to me over and over again to rip off the patient and get people to have tests they know they will be billed differently for down the road. They knew and still misled just to make money. Their business practices should be investigated and I will be more than happy to make that happen. Never go here, THEY LIE! read more

I was on phone for 45 minutes this morning making appointments for husband. They had them all back to back 3:15 for US, 4:00 MRI and for him to walk in for x-rays around 2. He was there and they cancelled his MRI without notifying us. If there was a problem or questions with the order then they should call the doctors office. Worst ran office EVER! Don't waste your time or money here- go elsewhere! If you have to use them make notes and verify who you've talked to etc.. TBH I'm not sure that'd help in my scenario now either but who knows. They don't care about there patients at all- its all about the money! read more

I wrote a bad review last year for a bad experience with a mammogram. Ended up going to Scottsdale. I had a response to my review by someone who wanted to talk to me but she never answered her email! But here a year later and all the bad reviews thought maybe they would have made some changes and would give them another chance! I was told I would have to pay 528.00 up front even though my insurance pays 100%. Tried to get to the bottom of this and finally had my insurance company call them to find out why I have to pay up front when its in their system that I'm covered 100.
