We didn't have a super big budget for florals, so we decided to keep it simple with just bouquets, boutonnieres, a few corsages, and some florals and fabric on the ceremony arch. I know absolutely nothing about flowers. All I provided to Adina was a link to my wedding Pinterest board, and the swatches of my bridesmaids' dresses that were five different shades of pink. She absolutely knocked it out of the park! She matched the freaking bridesmaids' bouquets EXACTLY to their dresses!! It was amazing. And I couldn't have dreamed up a more beautiful arch than the one she designed. Everything was absolutely perfect. My only regret is I didn't get to meet her in person (stupid Covid). I got married back in September and Adina was our florist, she was recommended by our wedding coordinator and I'm SO glad she did because Adina was incredible! First off upon meeting Adina she makes you feel so comfortable, I'm not a huge decorator so I really needed some guidance, she took the two photos I had and went with it next thing I knew she was describing the most gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces. She was also great at giving me suggestions and steering me from things she didn't think would look good. Another awesome perk was she has so many rentals at really affordable rates! We rented all of our chargers, table runners, LED candles, etc from here. It was so nice to have it all from one vendor and she set it all up and took it all down, I didn't have to think about it at all which was perfect! I worked with Adina for my August 2012 wedding in Escondido, CA at Orfila Vineyards. Two days before the wedding she called to let me know that the flowers ordered for my bridal bouquet came in with a shade of pink in them rather than pure white and that if I wasn't ok with that she would scrap them altogether and hunt down pure white ones. I told her the pink tone was fine, and I'm so glad I did! Adina has a true eye for beauty, and was able to take my vision along with some pictures of things I liked and make amazing floral decor for my wedding! We greatly appreciated that she was willing to accomodate us doing our own centerpieces for the wedding. (We did potted plants that guests took home with them rather than the typical arrangements). I had read some reviews about Adina and was really impressed with what people were saying so I had a good feeling about her from the start. My husband and I were planning the wedding from out of state and came to California for a weekend of meeting with vendors. We met Adina early one morning at her adorable home studio and right away, I just loved her! I could tell that, not only is she good at what she does, but she is a floral genius and very artistic! We got married in January and wanted to be cautious as to what was in season and what wasn't because we couldn't spend a fortune. I told Adina the "feel" I was going for, told her I had heard Casablanca lilies were in season, and gave her the colors I wanted to incorporate. I didn't have millions of pictures or every specific flower I wanted to use and so what I really appreciated about Adina, was how she took the time to ask lots of questions and really get to know my style as a bride. She really made a point to show me tons of pictures of bouquets, flower placement, stylistic details I had mentioned, and even drew up some sketches. She understood my vision with ease and even helped me really nail it down. Later on, we received the quote from her and were pleasantly surprised to see the additions she threw in at no extra cost. I had such a great feeling because of the creativity of Adina and how personal she really wanted to make it that I knew she was the florist for us! A few days before the wedding, I received a call from Adina saying that the flowers had come in from the grower and the dahlias were blood-orange instead of a soft, paler orange which is what we had wanted. She sent me a picture of the dahlias next to the paler orange flowers and, as most brides a couple days before the wedding, I was freaking out. It was entirely outside of Adina's control but I didn't know what to do. Adina to the rescue! She came up with the brilliant plan of taking the dahlias out of my bouquet and replacing them with another flower I liked and instead use the dahlias to create more depth in the centerpieces. She even sent me a picture of my bouquet in-the-making to make sure I liked how it was turning out. I trusted her completely and knew she'd make everything look great! The day of the wedding was amazing. The bouquets turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined! The flowers on the chuppah were gorgeous and added such rich color to our ceremony and the flowers at the reception were so beautiful! The "tablescapes" she created were so lush and full of so many beautiful, tropical flowers! The dahlias ended up looking fantastic with the centerpieces and I loved the wonderful touches of single orchid buds throughout the reception; on each napkin, placed on wooden letters of our initials, etc. The flowers stayed fresh all through the night! The only bad thing I can think of was that a few buds fell off my husband's boutenierre after the ceremony but I think most of that was due to the photographer having him pick me up, spin me around, and put me down several times :) Wonderful experience and I would recommend her to every bride! read more

I had an absolutely awful experience with Adina. I had ordered red dahlias for my wedding and received purple/burgandy flowers. Adina never bothered to contact me prior to my wedding date to let me know she could not get red dahlias or to give me any other options for red flowers. Instead she made the choice to send dahlias in a different color without asking if that would be ok. The flowers she sent clashed with the red trim in the bridesmaids dresses. My bridesmaids were resourceful enough to buy loose flowers at a local flower shop and create their own bouquets of RED flowers rather then the purple/burgandy ones she sent. When I contacted Adina on the wedding day after receiving the flowers to ask what had happened she made the statement that she is "not mother nature". Of course I did not expect her to be mother nature, but I did expect her to be a professional florist. Adina also was dishonest with my wedding coordinator/family friend! She told him that she contacted me 3 days prior to the wedding which she never did. I wish that she had! I called Adina the day before the wedding to ask if the bouquets could be delivered to the hotel rather than the wedding site and she did casually mention that the flowers were "darker red" then we had spoke about. That was the only communication we had regarding the flowers the week of the wedding and the phone call was made by me to her and she was not truthful about the color of the flowers she was using. Adina also did not provide enough flowers for the centerpieces on the tables. I had a very simple flower design on the tables which was a ring of dahlias around a lantern. She only sent enough dahlias for 3 flowers on each table! Lastly, Adina had told me that dahlias would not be a good choice for boutonnieres and that a chrysanthemum or other flower would be better since the dahlias do not hold up well. I agreed and told her to use whatever red similar type flowers that she thought would work best. On the wedding day I was surprised to see the purple dahlias were used for the boutonnieres. I'm do not know why she didn't follow her own advice she had given me regarding them. Sure enough within an hour the boutonnieres were in awful condition. I do not recommend Simply Adina Floral Design. She was difficult to get a hold and slow to respond throughout the planning process. When I called her on the wedding day she was condescending and rude and offered no explanation to why she had not contacted me prior to the wedding to ask approval for the different color. I hope that this review helps other brides to avoid the disappointment that I experienced on my wedding day. read more

I am a little late getting to Adina's review, but my satisfaction with her is still through the roof, even after all these months! I got married in May 2017 in Escondido. We live in east San Diego, but because our wedding venue was in Escondido, we desired to use a florist close to it. I came across Adina at a bridal bizarre and really loved her work. To be terribly honest, I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to flowers. I knew they'd be expensive, because that's common in weddings, but I don't know flower names, I don't know anything! I just had a few pictures and some ideas. When I met with Adina, she brought my vision to life! She was throwing out flower names, then would follow up with a picture so I could see what she was referring to. She really took the few ideas I had and just ran! Which was perfect for me. Flowers were one of the last things on my list because I was kind of putting it off. She made me question why I had waited so long! In addition to that, Adina is SO knowledgable! She's friendly, helpful, kind, and so eager to make your wedding dreams come true! We also connected over our love for our dogs, so that's always a huge plus for me! What I loved also about Adina was that she is very real. I was very upfront to not understanding the flower world so she guided me along and helped me find things I liked and didn't like and what would work together and what wouldn't. My desire for my flowers was coined "fall colors" by every bridal magazine but she encouraged me to go for what I wanted and that the flowers I was showing her were actually perfect for spring/summer! She was SO easy to work with! She would call, text, email, whatever was easiest for me and was very VERY quick to respond! And every time I spoke with her, she was just so excited to share with me what she was thinking and where she was at in the process. I was SO eager to see her work on my wedding day! She showed up early to my venue to set up. Came into my bridal suite with my beautiful bouquets and showed me the corsages and boutonnieres. Oh MAN! They were STUNNING! She was all smiles and so perfect on the day of. Not stressful or overwhelming, just excited! I had also asked (last minute) if she could put some lace into the garland on the tables (our main centerpieces). She executed it perfectly and barely blinked when I gave her something else to do.
