I have gone here in the past for mani's and pedi's and they were fine but things have changed for the worse. I went for a mani; a man started my service. He was silent and not very friendly. He filed my nails then had me soak in water so hot I could not keep my fingers in. He then put his fingers in the water to demonstrate that the water was not too hot. When I insisted that it was too hot for me he finally changed the water. A woman took over my mani and she was pleasant. The nail dryers were old and sticky and one did not work. As I looked around I saw that the work counter where supplies were kept was filmy with dust and the floor was not very clean. I will not go back. read more

Brought my mom here for Mother's Day. We got the facial, massage, pedicure and manicure. It was a great experience. My first massage ever was great, and the facial was amazing as well. The workers were all super nice and made my mother and I feel very comfortable. The owner Sarah couldn't have been nicer to us, she even put on movies, and made my mom a chai tea while we were getting our toes done. Super clean and covid safe. Totally recommend and hope to return soon!! read more

This used to be my favorite place to go for a pedicure. Things have changed the pedis are very quick and the person I had working on my feet was also working on and touching another persons feet at the same time, I did not see her take the tools out of Sterile and she was actually touching the other clients feet then going back to mine. Very uncomfortable situation. This happens to be a deal breaker for me. On top of this they now have a dog in the salon and I am allergic to animals so I won't be going back sad to say. read more

My experience was far from relaxing. It started when I pulled back the sheet and found hair on the bottom sheet. YUCK!! I was supposed to have a female preform my massage, a man who didn't introduce himself (who knows if he even worked there) came in instead. I didnt say anything because a male doesn't bother me normally. Massage was terrible. Nothing he did was like a normal massage. Legs all over, I said light pressure, I'm still sore. I've never in all my massages have had my stomach pushed on. So strange. After it was done he never walked me to the desk, which at ever other place I've ever been to has escorted me to the front desk. At the front desk I was never asked how the massage was and at that point I just wanted to get out of there. I will not be returning to the place. read more

I have never received a massage before and I am pleased to have come to this Spa to be my first time! The employees are welcoming and very friendly. My friend and I made a same day appointment and were able to go in that afternoon. Although this was my first and don't have experience getting massages, I walked out feeling relaxed and stress free. Under new ownership for over a year, this is now "Simply Day Spa". The staff is very friendly, accommodating and professional. The decor is elegant, while remaining comfortable and relaxing. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the products they use are high end, luxurious and pampering. I had an hour massage with Sara, the owner, and I can honestly say it was the best massage I've ever had. With her many years of experience and knowledge, she used accupressure points to work out neck and shoulder knots better than any therapist I've been to. She really knows her profession and cares about her clients well-being. I can't wait to return to Simply Day Spa! read more

Late review from March 17 visit. I don't get on here often. Had "transcontinental back" from a x-country biz flight to the east coast. While visiting a friend in Blairstown, they heard my sob story and recommended this place. It was an attractive building that looked like it was just remodeled. the fixtures all looked new. Staff was very friendly and the table, room temperature, linens etc. were first class. The massage by Naomi was excellent and really helped my back over the rest of my trip. I thought the price was reasonable and a bargain, considering the quality level of the facility and service. read more

Went here a couple days ago, on a couple's massage. They took us to separate rooms for a couple's massage lol the massage itself was ok, but in separate rooms ???? as we were checking out the girl behind the desk asked if I need an envelope for the tip, which my brains translated into "Give as a tip", which I believe is annoying. If I could give no stars, I would. I have been here, when it used to be The brass rose. Since then, I have had many massages. This was horrible and painful. I asked to stop halfway thru. I didn't get the masseuse name, but he was am Asian man. He hurt me terribly and told me he needed to get my muscles. I told him several times, I was not enjoying it and I was in very bad pain. Finally I said enough is enough and left. The receptionist asked me what i thought and I told her how horrible it was and the man (he was present while I was speaking all this) that he wouldn't listen to me to stop hurting and it was not comfortable. He stated it was my muscle that needed some electro therapy or something. The receptionist told me my masseuse also provided that service. I told them both, there was not a chance I would ever have that man touch me again. As I write this several hours later, my neck, base of my skull all the way to my ears hurt. I can't turn my neck and I have a major headache and I feel "off balance" and my ears are ringing. read more

I got a spa package gift certificate for simply day spa from my husband for my birthday. I was really looking forward to the experience but overall I wasn't very happy so I give it two stars. One Star for the masseuse Naomi who was fabulous and one Star for the delicious dumplings. If you want a nice mani and pedi this is not the place for you. The technician who did my mani did a terrible job with the polish. When I said I didn't like it she mumbled in Korean under her breath, blamed it on the polish and angrily took it off and put on a different polish that was almost as equally bad as the first time. Then she did my pedicure and made an absolute mess of that too. Never bothered to ask me if I liked it because she was rushing to get to her next customer. She gave me the impression I was a nuisance and she was doing me a favor servicing me in the first place. And to top things off they don't even have a place for you to dry your toenails! I thought that was absurd. It was pouring rain and cold outside so I was forced to leave with toenails that weren't fully dry in my socks and rain boots. Needless to say by the time I got home the polish was completely smudged. It looked like my two year old had put it on. I will never go back here and I get the impression thatif you're not a regular customer they don't care about you. Don't give anyone a gift certificate if they aren't a regular bc they will not get the treatment they were hoping for. read more
