They do this Guinness challenge where you pay some money and then you drink 100 beers with no time limit. Then when you're done you get your name on a plaque on the wall. Pretty good way to get some fools to drink nasty beer at $8.50 a pop + $2 tip and keep spending money! That means each plaque costs over $1000!! Probably quadruple or more when you add in food. This is an Irish pub through and through. It's a little deceptive as it has a dive bar old pub feel, but really it's pretty clean and polished and most of the stuff in here is new and well taken care of to create the illusion. Which I'm grateful for. The service here is excellent. Go to Aviator if you want to experience a vast difference in service quality (bad). Staff here is attentive, fast, friendly...everything you'd expect. They're also not understaffed either. The owner is frequently available if you have any concerns or issues. He's there to make sure everything runs smoothly and is done correctly. Even when they are slammed they have extremely good service. They have an extensive Irish menu. The fish and chips are excellent as is the reuben. Bangers and Mash, Shepherds Pie, Gaelic Chicken, Scotch Eggs...everything you'd expect in an Irish restaurant and it all tastes good. A lot of people like coming here for brunch which has a different menu. I think on Monday's they have all you can eat crab legs for $50 per person...you order a cluster one at a time, not a buffet. They frequently have bikes nights and you'll see a ton of bikes during Angier Bike Fest. They charge a 3% service charge on the bill...not sure what that is for... Either way, this is a great restaurant one of the best in Angier and even the greater Fuquay and Lillington area.

I think that the shepherds pie had too many vegetables in it, but the meat was seasoned very well and the mashed potatoes were delicious! I would definitely go back there for another stout on my next visit. Our server was very nice and very attentive. The atmosphere was bright and cheery and I believe everyone in our five person party had a really good time. They did have the soccer tournament on throughout the bar, which was very nice. My guests STILL (now in 2018) speak fondly of the tasty, passed hors d'oeuvres and the beautiful presentation of specialty cocktails designed exclusively by Bill (owner) and executed with precision by his team. Hired B & B yet again to cater Holiday Party, December 2017, and they did a marvelous job! On-site team was timely and professional, just as before; and once again, food was yummy and drinks were plentiful and delicious. Clean-up was a breeze -- quick and thorough. Team left no trace they'd even been there at all. My 2017 party guests are asking already about a repeat Holiday Party 2018! Bill is as meticulous about his menu offerings as he is about his team's execution (timeliness, professionalism, friendliness). His breadth of industry experience traveling the country and staying on top of hospitality trends nationwide gives him the aura of a big-city caterer -- but he's right here, with hometown accessibility here in Cumberland County, NC. Food Truck Rodeo Stop #1: Funky Fresh Food Truck…read more After reading the descriptions of the tacos at this food truck I was extremely excited to give it a try. An order of two tacos is $10, there were three options available: Tuna, Duck and Pork Belly. Since the rodeo was just starting and there was not a long line we were able to get a tuna and pork belly taco in our order, score! The ingredients were fresh, the tuna taco contained a mango peach salsa, honey chipotle aioli and cilantro lime slaw. Unfortunately the tacos were not as flavorful as I was hoping but I did like the funky freshness that this food truck had to offer.

I'm not sure if they change up their menu or not so it was the teriyaki chicken for me and the shrimp for my mom. There was a good amount of chicken and fried rice but the veggies were lacking.
